Slender fingers racked through hair, brushing stands back only for them to fall back into place, as the petite General moved silently through the Rift. The heavy fabric of his uniform whispered through the air, and along crystal and rock, as he headed toward the piercing structure that had once been the palace of Earth. Blond hair and fair skin stood out in the darkness while the darkly colored uniform, however elegant and decorative it was, blended in with the surroundings. Slate hued eyes, more gray then blue at the moment, took in the glowing eyes of hidden youma and the obvious ones which made their presence more known to him. Their growls, snarls, rumbles, and other sounds no longer scared him nor made him nervous. He didn't fear for himself down here - this was a home of sorts.
His gaze swept back to the palace as he drew closer, for now the youma ignored, as he hoped the owner of the signature he felt was the person he sought. It was the signature of a General King or General Queen and he was seeking a very particular General Queen. He had not known her well, or at all honestly, until the last meeting where she had spoken and taken the lead for some time. He had soon after transferred to her branch and since then had seen not of her - something he sought to correct.
He didn't seek the General Queen out just to speak with her, a meet and greet, but he came bearing a plan for energy collection. Collecting more energy was an objective and he had an idea which he thought would help, he'd gotten it while drying out some tea leaves for Lily, and after some time was set to present the idea to her. He just hoped she liked the idea and could help fill in the gaps that he couldn't work out on his own; he had no way to buy or rent a building or fill it with furniture. He knew it was a large need, a very large one, but he hoped somehow the powers of chaos could help with the issues.
As he made his way past the large doors he stepped into what remained of the palaces entrance hall. His heels clicked now as he moved, echoing off the walls, as he looked around as if expecting the owner of the signature to be hiding in the shadows watching him - and maybe they were. Should he speak up? See if he called out the other would answer him? No, no that would seem cliche and weak somehow.

Laurelite had much more to worry about than which General was wandering which shadows. She had been on her way back to her office; she had notes to compile, things to research. She had not been much for human contact recently, and even the unprecedented company of a general was welcome after her long hours of interacting with only youma. She did not go out of her way to meet with him, but neither did she change her course. Benitoite came into view rather quickly and she slowed her step. " You're out a bit late, General," she said. Laurelite was estimating the time based on how long she felt she had been gone; she had neither a clock nor any access to the sky and knew only that her body was aching with hunger and fatigue. Her mind was racing, though; every day she spent working was one day closer to achieving their goals. Benitoite could be out gathering energy. Or maybe he was just here to check on that youma of his. Or maybe he had a reason to be here. The idea was tantalizing, that the General would have a reason to be down in these drab halls, so the General Queen continued, " Are you looking for something down here or just exploring?"

The sight of the General Queen, this General Queen, brought a smile to his calm features. This was who he had been looking for, who he'd hoped would be down here at this hour, and he was rewarded for coming down here by seeing his target. "Indeed, but I assure you it is for a good reason - my General Queen." She had his respect as he bowed his head gently to her.
As he lifted his head slate eyes glanced her over for a moment, she looked a bit tired but he spoke not a word, as he approached her with a slight bit of caution. He didn't know where he stood with her, he knew he may not be everyons favorite General, and he did not know her well enough to know her opinion on him. It was best to keep this to business and appeal to her wish, which was also his wish, to better the Negaverse.
"I was, to be honest, seeking you out General Queen. I have something of an...idea I'd like to offer up as a way to gain more energy - a long term idea." He spoke, his words whispering as they filled the empty shell of a former palace they walked through. "I would like to speak with you of this idea and perhaps, if the idea appeals to you, find a way to execute it.

Laurelite's eyes flickered briefly; he had won her interest. Her smile lingered and she offered an encouraging nod. " Well then, by all means. My ears are yours, General." She had heard of Benitoite. She might not have met him personally, but she knew him well enough. Before, when he had been 'a good general'. Then, the disgraced. He had made a grave mistake, but he had been punished. He had met the punishment, and strived to make amends. He hadn't given up, run away, purified. The Negaverse had been hard on him, and he had taken what they had thrown at him and improved. Yes, Laurelite most certainly could make a bit of time for Benitoite. Not just because she was eager for a change of pace, but because the Negaverse could always use more energy. They needed it now more than ever.

"I don't suppose you know that I have a talent with plants - something which I've had for a good many years. My mother was the one who planted the seed and from there it grew and blossomed." While it might seem like odd, off topic, rambling it had a purpose. One knowing him should figure as much as well; it wasn't his sort of thing - to speak of pointless things.
"My plan is to open a tea shop, nothing so simple as buying tea cups, kettles, and pre-made teas only. I would offer up the tea leaves and other things, loose, so people can blend their own as well - something unique that would grab more attention." And thus more customers. It would help their cause if he brought more people in. "It would be some of these ingredients, merchandise, and pre-packaged teas that we could charm to steal energy from customers. I would like to employ a guardian cat to assist in this plan. As part of the plan is that when the store is closed for the evening the employees, all Negaverse officers, and myself will collect the energy and charm more merchandise to be sold the next day. A few, who are not powered up, will stock the front room - which to anyone passing by will seem perfectly normal. If we have a guardian cat present our signatures can be blocked and the plan can continue on for longer - undetected by our enemies." And more energy could be collected by them. It was, he felt, a good plan. It would aid them in whatever they needed energy for. As he fell silent he waited for the General Queen's words, hoping she would like this, and also she would see the problems - such as a store and the furniture for a place, not to mention product and connections (funds also) to procure merchandise.
As his boots hit the floor, the sound echoing off the walls around them, his eyes remained on the General Queen as if trying to read whatever her thoughts were. He thought the idea a good one which they could pull off with great reward. It just required many things he had o way of laying his hands on. Would she like his idea and offer those things? Would she trust him where he doubted others of her rank, who knew what had happened months ago, would be unlikely to trust him? Her interest was a good sign but would it last?

Laurelite listened with seeming indifference, though her blank face hid the cogs working in her mind. She was playing out multiple scenarios in her head, pinpointing pros and cons, isolating weaknesses, planning how to fortify them… Finally, she nodded. " It is an interesting idea. It would require much work, though if you are proposing the idea to me, I'm certain that you are willing to offer your services." You could never go wrong with tea, and a teahouse? It seemed like good enough cover to hide Negaverse operations. Any money they put into it was sure to be returned, and with the added benefit of energy with it? " We can work something out. A cat can be provided. You are permitted to recruit whoever you like to assist in your workings. I expect a report on everything related to the situation. Everything you do, everyone you recruit. Everything. We'll need it for our database." Which she certainly didn't maintain, but she knew exactly who to pass the information off to. " You come from a wealthy family, do you not?" It was a rhetorical question; instead of waiting for a response, she continued, " And yet, I don't suppose you have the funds to manage this on your own. We wouldn't want a paper trail leading back to you, either. Suppose you have the full backing of the Negaverse. Can you promise that our investment will not be in vain?"

"Indeed, it will take a lot of time preparing. It is nothing I am not willing to do - as I should be expected to." He spoke with a small nod of his head. The fact it was his idea meant he should have the biggest role in preparations and operating everything. It was his plan to make sure worked and made them profit, both in a monetary sense and energy wise. It was a lot of responsibility for him, a lot of things to do, would the General Queen trust him with such?
As he had been about to respond she continued on, saving him from answering, as she brought up the paper trail which worried him as well. It was why he came here for backing, not to mention he didn't think he could convince his parents to give him that much money. They didn't know what he did in his free time so considered him a simple teenager who was attending college. They wouldn't trust him to run and own a business; at least not for a few years.
"I cannot promise anything - that would be foolish of me. But I can give my word to do my best to return the investment. I have confidence in my plan, otherwise I would not have dared to bring it to you, but nothing can be for sure in war." He hoped his answer acceptable; that she would see the truth in his words. He didn't want to speak with blind confidence when anything unforeseen could crop up and ruin everything. There was only so much he could plan for and so many ideas he, scenarios, he could conjure up and prepare for.
"For the business end I plan to speak with Buddingtonite, as he owns his own business. I plan to bring him in to help with how to run things, so I can put our money to use in a way which will benefit us the most. I also plan to discuss furniture with Captain Schörl, who works with restorations of such things. I've met her as a civilian and while she does not know I am a General she will soon. Beyond that I will put out an open invitation to members who need a job - in order to help individual members as well as serve the higher purpose of making money and gathering energy." He wished to help with this plan in as many ways as possible; that was what family was for right? But he'd also done his research, at least a little, and knew two people to go to for assistance.
"If you have anything you'd like to add? I will of course keep you up to date on every move we make, you are invited to observe things whenever it pleases you as well - of course." His organization skills would help him keep track of things, folders filled with information would reach the General Queen as he kept her updated, he just hoped he could pull this off.

For a long moment, Laurelite contemplated the offer. Parts of it were risky, but upon weighing that against what could come of it should the plan succeed? Some risks were just worth taking. " I am thrilled to see that you've taken such effort in planning this." It certainly made her job much easier. " You may proceed with the first steps of your plan. I anticipate a flawless execution. Should you hit some bumps along the way, I expect an immediate update so that I might attempt to remedy the situation before it is out of our control." She turned to face Benitoite, giving him her full attention. " Though, I have faith in you. In fact, it's been a while since an officer proposed something to me to further our cause, so I am proud of you for making that effort. Ambition will get you far. I realize you've made a rather significant error in the past?" The question was rhetorical; she continued without missing a beat. " Though you have expected responsibility and punishment. I would hope that after all this time you've learned your lesson." The General Queen watched him closely, emotions unreadable behind her steadfast smile. " Do you think that further punishment would benefit you, or are you of the mind that such would only hold you back?

"As I said, I would not have brought anything less planned out to you for a proposal - it would be unwise and unprofessional to do so." And he was, if nothing else, professional and eager to do his best in serving the Negaverse in this war. He wanted to assist in bringing them forward and somehow helping to further their cause. He had taken the time to think of loops and try and fill in things, to keep civilian lives as separate from this as possible. He didn't want people tied back to this if he could help it.
"Of course. I wouldn't dare keep you uninformed - what with this being such a big operation. Things could too quickly escalate." He wasn't about to risk this plan at all. he had every intention of it lasting a good long time, if it was ever even caught. if not then when would it end? Would t ever? He couldn't see a reason to end it if it proved to provide a good profit and wasn't caught, or threatened. No, he wasn't going to risk this in any way at all.
He might have said more, informed her that she was invited to the business whenever she wished to drop in, whether it be as a civilian or as their General Queen, he didn't get to however. She was bringing up the past, which was still the present, and asking him an honest question that she wanted an honest answer for. "In light of this plan and needing to maintain my civilian life, where I hold a job and attend college, I would say that to continue it would be a hindrance. It would keep me from m duties - both civilian and not." He didn't mention he had no intention of ever making the same mistake, that should be obvious for anyone who knew how he'd taken it when it had happened. He didn't say that he had made a mistake then, why would he intentionally seek to harm a member of their organization and take them from himself and from the Negaverse? It was a conversation of the past which he would not be repeating with a different person.

Laurelite listened, judging the weight of each word. She seemed to be debating his performance with his mistakes and then nodded. " I am of the same mind. I think that if you're going to invest yourself in something, you need to be as clear-minded as possible. I will pass the message along to your handlers that I have set you on another task and am terminating your punishment sessions from this day forward." She spoke more deliberately, with a bit of coldness to her voice when she added, " I know you won't make the same mistake again." There was the hint of a threat behind her sweet little smile, but she seemed in a cheerful mood only a few seconds later. " If that is all, then I have work to tend to. You will excuse me for the time being, but should you need anything, I will make myself available." She brushed herself off, very obviously intending to make take her leave. " Take care of yourself, Benitoite. I look forward to our next meeting."

As he listened to the General Queen he felt a smile fighting to take form, he was happy that she agreed with him, and managed to win the fight against the smile. Keeping his face calm and neutral he found himself giving her a slight bowing of his head; even as he continued to walk with her. "Thank you, I appreciate it. The time afforded me now will be put to good use, General Queen." He could not let her down, she was putting a lot of faith in him, he had to made this plan work and pull it all together. He couldn't do it on his own, even if the idea was his own, so he would pull together the foundations he needed.
"Of course General Queen. We will speak again soon as the plans progress. I will be sure to keep you as in the loop as possible." As she brought the discussion to an end he bowed once more to her. "I will, and you as well." He had a lot on his plate to get done but he had no choice but to get it done. He would succeed.(We can call it an end here. Thank you for the rp.)
