On the edge of the Tam River a purple Daiah could be seen preening himself, lazing in the sun and occasionally lapping at the water. He was totally relaxed. The day was one of the most beautiful he had seen in a long time.

Nothing stirred.

The river moved slowly past him, the sound of water trickling by was soothing to the ear.

He had just returned from gathering and his belly was full to the brim. Ah, contentment. He sighed as he rolled onto his stomach and curled up in a ball. His great, fluffy tail flicked about until it came to a comfortable position curled around himself. He was a ball of fluff, almost like a newborn.

He began to doze off.
