((This follows the events in this RP =3))
There was indeed much truth behind the figurative saying that time flies and what goes around comes around.
Boaz mused to himself en route to Richard's home, the memory of his first meeting with the older redhead the morning after his corruption playing in his mind and tugging at the corners of his lips into what might seem like a hint of a smile. He had brought him back to his home to sleep off the physical strain that was caused by the corruption, showed him the ropes and pointed him in the right direction as was required of him as a senior officer despite being of a similar rank as himself back then. Now, it was as if he was repaying the hospitality and care he was given back then by taking care of the other's injury and getting him safely home to rest and recuperate.
Once he was done paying the cab driver, he replaced his wallet into his pant pocket, ignoring the funny look that the man was giving him and Richard so that he could focus on his current task of helping the redhead out of the stationary vehicle. Slipping an arm around the other's waist, he held him close, gently tugging his arm to drape over his own shoulders before he lifted his gaze to look him over. "We're almost at your place now. Just got to hang on for a wee bit more. How're you holding up? Dizzy? Queasy? Close to passing out? Pain starting to trouble you any?"

The idea to take a taxi was both the best, and the worst idea, for Richard Moreau. It was a great idea because he was truly in no condition to drive himself anyway, not with the injury to his arm and the drugs in his system. He wasn't sure if Boaz gave him something or if it was simply events finally catching up to him, but never had Richard longed for a bed more than he did right now. Which brought him to why it was a bad idea to take the cab, because the moment someone else assumed responsibility for driving, Richard took that as a sign to allow his weariness to finally overcome him, and the siren's call to sleep could simply not be ignored.
Richard didn't want to admit that Boaz grabbing him startled him into waking up, holding his muscles stiff and refusing to let his friend see him jump, and he gave a chipper sounding purr as Boaz threw his arm over his shoulder and began pulling him out of the car and onto his feet. "Hm, Boaz, my hero… will you carry me over the threshold?"
Of course he meant that as a joke, as in civilian form he had no authority over the lieutenant, but he flashed his friend a tired wink, just to drive the point home that he was merely teasing him. In response to Boaz's barrage of questions, he gave him a wave off and a spat as he took a step forward. "Nah, feline' fine and dandy. In fact, I think I can do a little dance-"
His foot hit the ground but his knee missed the memo to lock, and down Richard almost went before clinging onto Boaz as though his life depended on it. The near stumble was enough to knock the silly right out of him, and he gave a sigh, before admitting with great reluctance. "A little dizzy, yes. You remember which apartment's mine, right?"

Boaz would have offered to drive the both of them to Richard's place instead of taking a taxi if not for the fact that his car was currently parked at his apartment since he didn't expect that he would be coming down to the hospital later in the evening in order to tend to Richard's injuries. Helping the older redhead onto his feet, he found himself laughing at his words and played along this time round in the hope of keeping the other's spirits up. "Mm... of course. It wouldn't do to leave you hanging after all."
It was a good thing that he had his arm around him and he quickly pulled him back upright when he fell, only loosening his hold on him a little when the episode had passed and he was much steadier on his own feet. "It's probably the medication that I gave you earlier on. Should be better once you get to lie horizontal but let me know if it gets really bad to the point of causing either nausea or vomiting?" He explained Richard's condition to the man himself in a muted tone as he helped him along to his apartment.
"Yeah. Do you want to pass me your keys or something? Baldwin's not the type to pounce on you when you get back I hope." For Richard's sake, he surely hoped not. The last thing he needed after all was to have either his stitches ripped open or the wound to get infected when the dog was unintentionally doing more harm than good with its demonstrations of affection towards its owner.

"Maybe... I don't like medicine, really, so maybe it's just my body being cruel to me..." Richard said, not at all wanting to admit that he rather liked being doted on, if only for a little while. Sure, it'd mean taking advantage of his fellow 'coworker' and friend's hospitality, but he was, by no means, faking the dizzy spell. He passed him his keys without delay, surprised to even find them in his pocket as he was half expecting them to have simply disappeared or he forgotten them somewhere, given how his night was going. "And don't worry... Baldwin may be happy to see me, but he's as gentle as a lamb when it comes to daddy coming home at such a late hour."
By this time his dog had grown used to his master coming home completely drunk and was always surprisingly gentle with his approach, so hopefully tonight would be no different. He handed over the keys and allowed Boaz to do his magic, and before he forgot, he tugged on Boaz's shirt and whispered. "Gotta disarm the alarm, first. The combination is..."
He glanced around, making sure no one else was present to eavesdrop, before whispering the combination to him. "12345..."
It was an easy combination, but one that no one had cracked as of yet. No one would think to use such a simple password, right? From behind the door, they could hear heavy paws approaching the door and a curious bark, letting them known that Baldwin was now aware of their presence, and the moment he entered the apartment, Richard would glide onto the couch with a sigh. "Home, sweet home!"baby_gwing Feel free to puppet Baldwin for a bit, if you like.
