Class: **** HP: 100/100 Description: This creature is entirely covered in armoured platelets, making it very, very difficult to find a weak spot. It will also released electrical charges along its spine that become dangerous if left unchecked for too long. To neutralize this, the electrical charge points must be attacked before they literally explode and knock Hunters back outside of its blast radius. Upon defeat: Has a 100% chance of dropping Insanity remains usable for the R & D.

Sherry was ready for this. Even after all they'd been through in hunting titans before, this was going to be a very change after the whole shopping thing. Less stress, less variables (titans were more predictable than princess golems, apparently), and possibly even less of a time commitment. All in all, she was almost looking forward to a Titan hunt. She knew how to handle that. And it was less likely to make her poor. Right?
The straps went on easy as ever, and in no time at all she was ready for this. She hoped Jake was, too. The shopping had not been as relaxing as they'd hoped, so she wasn't sure if he'd gotten quite enough rest. With any luck he had, but if he took another hit like last time she'd have to put a halt on hunting for a while... if she could come up with a viable replacement for it.
Sherry sighed. Not enough time, not enough training. Jake needed time to work through whatever it was holding him back, but that was not something he had. If all this hunting didn't work, she honestly didn't know what would work. Well. They were already dressed for this, so this was happening.
"You sure you're feeling up to this?" A sidelong glance accompanied the question. "Make sure you let me know if you need anything."

After a horrendous mall supply mission with extremely fickle princess golems, Jake found himself actually looking forward to titan patrols, and had never thought he'd enjoy teetering about on some 60-foot monster, risking getting electrocuted, flung, or crush all on a monster's whim. But seriously, he never EVER wanted to do shopping errands ever again. Ever (even if he did get some new clothes out of it and a present).
Though still a bit sore, it was a lot better than before, and at least he could move around without wincing in pain now. He just had to... be a little more careful. "I'm fine, don't worry."
Testing his gear and making sure nothing was malfunctioning, he took off, starting to run towards the titan.

The titan seemed to sense him and lashed its tail at him. Taking a leap, he pressed the throttle, wincing slightly as some debris hit him, but managed to launch himself into the air, unable to hide a chuckle. This was MUCH better than shopping... and less stressful. Compared to the very first time they encountered these creatures and having Nevada unceremoniously launch him at one against his own will (and possibly nearly killing him in the process), he realized what a long way he had come since then, taking down the beasts without TOO much effort. Surely all this training would pay off somehow in the long run, he was sure, or hoped, because even after all this, if he wasn't able to summon Chester...
He cleared his head of all thoughts as he landed on the titan, not wasting anytime securing the cord and attaching himself to the titan. "Alright, good to go!" he shouted out.

Sherry nodded at his response. She’d not expect him to say anything else, she knew him well enough for that. She knew herself well enough to know that she’d worry regardless of what he said. Not because she didn’t trust him, but because she cared and while this was somehow better than shopping, the chances of dying were drastically up. All the worrying. “Let’s get to it then!”
Warily watching as Jake ascended to the thing’s back, Sherry got her own gear ready. Once the tether was in place, the fun could start. “Okay!” A very relieved Sherry replied when Jake was safely on the Titan’s back. Time to get this thing anchored.
Heaving her own gear and turning it on, Sherry watched as the runic anchor kicked on and attached itself to the ground at her feet. Piece of cake.
“All good down here!”

“Get to distracting this thing!” They just had to keep it here and distracted long enough for things to kick in, just like before. So much easier than shopping. Just what had her life become for this to be the case. Sherry almost shook her head and sighed, but that would have meant taking her eyes off of her charge for the duration of this hunt. The support must always pay attention.
“You’d best be careful!” she yelled, grinning all the while. They could do this. Heck, half the hard part was done. They had the beast, they just had to wait it out now.
And hopefully Jake would find a little bit of what he needed up there.

Or more, it was Sherry doing the waiting while Jake tried not to die/actually land a hit, though it was also dangerous down there too. Nothing about being a hunter was ever safe, and he himself should know this all too well. While better than shopping (and probably less stressful), titan fighting was dangerous, and he felt bad for always getting Sherry into these situations (or at least, it seemed it, even before he lost his memories of her). Hopefully, he wouldn't end up regretting anything, and everything would pay off in the end. He couldn't afford to let this go to waste, not for his own safety, as well as hers.
And so he decided to go all out, already pulling out the hand torch. Get it down quick, get out, rinse and repeat. They could do this.

Jake just needed to remember that Sherry was a hunter and that daily life was a challenge filled with danger and possible death. At least if she went with him into these dangerous situations they had the ability to back one another up. It was far better than running into them alone. (And Armagnac was pretty sure she was more than capable of handling anything that came up, even these titans. Her as in Armagnac. The weapon had faith in Sherry, but she knew humans weren’t perfect.)
Not perfect, but they tried to be. Especially when running defense and support. Or at least Sherry tried when working in such roles. “Good! Make use of all your options!” So far it looked like Jake didn’t need to much help on her end, but this had just started. The beast was sure to build up a charge sooner or later. “We have got this fella!”

It was probably less backing one another up and more making sure Jake didn't do stupid things and get himself killed... as usual. It was a good sentiment to have though, and he had come a long way ever since he had first woken up on this island, that he was sure of. No longer the arrogant cocky hothead he once was, constantly picking fights with others, he was working to improve himself and to learn to get along with others. If there was anything missions ended up teaching him, it was that cooperation was key, whether with division leads or fellow hunters.
He and Sherry seemed to be doing just fine right now, but he paused when she shouted something. ... did she just call the titan "fella?" He was probably hearing things.

She had just called it “fella.” She was feeling rather relaxed right now, battle and related situations were normal now. Routine and normal, which apparently led to casual conversation tones when dealing with the enemy. That or she had not yet recovered from the stress of shopping, but she was fairly certain she had.
Or at least she had enough that she could do her job here. “Jake! Watch yourself! I think I see sparks to your left!” Shouting and pointing seemed to be a fair bit of her job, but the watching was crucial, too. Along with the communicating. “Careful!”
But so far, so good. Nothing too drastic had happened as of yet.

After this, he was going to have a talk with one of the techs about viable sources of communication, like headphones, because half the time, he had no idea what Sherry said, asides from frantic shouting and gesturing... like now.
He turned to where she pointed, noting a charge building up in one of the spines. This was almost as exciting as it was tedious. A swing from the daggers disabled the charge, but he knew this was far from over.
"Thanks for the head's up!" Now to make sure the other spines didn't catch him off guard and blast him right off the titan.

Sherry should have remembered to ask about headsets. She had even thought about it before, but alas, she had forgotten in all the various emotions and making ready for the patrol. As it was, she was glad she had all of the necessary gear. Bandages and med kit and runic gear…she was fairly certain she had it all. But no headset.
Which meant there would be a lot shouting and pointing, sadly. All of which would do no good when the Titan decided to try and wander off. The tether would hold it, Sherry knew, but she still worried for Jake up on top of that thing. “Watch it!” she said, all the while making sure she was not going to be caught underfoot. That would be sad. And painful.

Sad and painful indeed. Being a human pancake was never fun, nor was getting stabbed, impaled, electrocuted, maimed... Well, it was quite clear that the life of a hunter was very complicated. Even more complicating was trying to figure out what Sherry was telling him to watch. The spines? The electricity? The titan moving? Perhaps everything? He really really needed to make sure they had headsets next time. Charades and Taboo on a moving monster was not fun. At all.
He figured she probably meant to watch everything, which, while improbable, wasn't impossible. His eyes darted back and forth between the spines within close proximity, making sure they weren't about to explode, missing the one behind him apparently, and ended up stumbling into it as the titan shifted. Ow.

Try as she might, it was difficult at times to communicate exactly where the danger was coming from. Especially when she didn’t spot certain sparkling spikes at times. Sherry saw it just as Jake made contact with it, and she cringed in sympathy. She really needed to keep a better eye on things.
Easier said than done, especially when the Titan decides to do things like turn around. Things that big should not be allowed to turn that sharply, but it was certainly trying to. Succeeding too, as far as Sherry could tell. She was trying to mind it’s feet, and was not fully focusing on its direction for a few moments.
“You still okay?” She yelled the question up to Jake, even though she’d lost sight of him for a moment. Hopefully it wouldn’t take her long to correct that. It was hard to offer the support he needed if she couldn’t see him.

It was probably a good thing he didn't get motion sickness as the titan decided to move again, but even with his harness secured in one of the plates, he still risked getting tossed off if he wasn't careful.
Against his better judgement, he held onto one of the spines, just momentarily, but it had been one he hadn't seemed to check recently, and so a charge shot up the moment he touched it, making him jolt.
"U-um, yah!" His hair stood up on end, and he tried patting it down, only to end up shocking himself. Static electricity, great. Well, it wasn't like his hair looked any better before anyways. Perhaps he should get a haircut someday.
