Ithi was getting better at making friends lately and her original idea of setting out a picnic seemed to be great at at least making conversation or getting them to stop long enough to grab a snack. Her wicker basket was looking much the worse for wear, she'd tied it up with scraps of cloth in various places to keep it together. Her usual muslin cloth was a little stained here and there but still soft and without any holes in it which is really all you can ask for. After she smoothed out the edges she began to set out the floral plates and the matching teapot in the middle, careful not to spill any of the already brewed tea inside. The cups had a few new chips too, but were serviceable. Last but not least she pulled out a plate piled high with adorable little madelines in many different colors and flavours. She'd have replaced the tea set by now if it hadn't been for her love of cooking. She just couldn't stop buying ingredients. She smiled as she popped one of the cookies in her mouth before hanging up the sign that read:
Hungry? Tired? Need to rest or want to talk? Pull up a bit of blanket and join me!
P.S. The food and drink are free!
Now to see who might join her today, she could only hope they'd be a little more talkative than some of her companions had been.
