No new shiny kits.. crying For those not in the know: - Escalation and Stronghold Assault are two new 40k expansions, the prior dealing with the use of super-heavies in regular games of 40k, the latter an official supplement with stats and rules for all the fortifications to date, along with conversion tips and rules for non-Imperial emplacements. - TOL / T.O.L. = Time of Legend, the Fantasy equivalent of 40k's Horus Heresy, dealing with things predating the current setting. - The items in blue are Hobbit releases, along with the Desolation of Smaug book and the resin box further down the list. An actual model of Smaug has been delayed by New Line Cinema. - Aurelian is a reprint of a limited edition Horus Heresy novella, minus the fancy cover and art plates found within. - The templates are all from Apocalypse. - The limited edition Space Marines codex contains a bundle of extras to justify its rather insane price.

You've also got their advent calender releases as well. Their saying that it's two new releases a day from now until Christmas. Ranging from short stories to new rules (I wouldn't be surprised if they decided that 'Nids were going to be release on Christmas day to round things off.)
Today's release was rules for Be’Lakor, The Dark Master. (40k and Fantasy rules)
Edit - I don't know if this will happen in America/Canada as well as Britain, all I know is that it's happening here.

The advent calendar releases are all digital though. I sincerely doubt that the Tyranids will get a digital release before an actual physical release.

Eh, the way their going it could happen. From what I've seen they've been trying to lean more and more into digital than physical for books, so it might happen.

To be honest, I'm not a huge fan, mostly because they're tailored solely to the iPad and nothing else. We got the Adeptus Sororitas codex for Kindle Fire, and the format is completely hosed (blank pages and the like), and doesn't have any of the things like 360 photos and hot-linked rules references that the iPad version advertises.

I've only seen the iPhone version which seems to have all of that in it too. I'm not really that huge a fan of it either as my phone battery dies on me often enough and I don't want to be carrying my Kindle with me all the time (If the normal Kindles can get the ebooks). It might just be because they find it easier to make the books on iOS compared to Kindle, or maybe they just think it will bring in more sales. Either way one day they may have to face the popularity of the Kindle versions and put as much effort into them. (Although I don't see that happening any time soon)

Not to suprising that nids got bumped for the hobbit, LotR and The Hobbit don't sell to much and they'll be using the movie release as their way of peaking interest in the game. If Tyranids were to come out in December we would have seen something in the White Dwarf for sure, at lease some snippit like they did for the SoB codex release. But I think they'll have a physical copy come out for that army, it's only recently been supplements and Adepta Sororitas (which aren't kept in stores and have to be special ordered). I expect they'll be a January maybe February release.
After converting my eBook Codex into a PDF file I found that there wasn't enough space in the margins for me to bind it... I'm going to have to re-adjust the settings and hope I don't get any more blank pages..... It was a horridly put together codex but I still love the rules.

Have you thought about getting sheet protectors that already have 3-ring extenders? That's how we put together our old SoB book, saves the trouble of putting holes in the pages...

Disappointed Tyranids aren't coming out in December, was the one thing I was looking forward to. Was hoping that the new book would get me motivated to start painting.

Yeah I'll probably end up doing that with just the army lists. With the combined fluff/history I'm carrying around a tome.

They'll probably come out January. GW seems to have a pattern with their releases. 40k, Fantasy, 40k, Fantasy etc, but with The hobbit movie coming out, they'll use it to boost their sales for that game, then resume their pattern for marketing. smile I spend way to much time in my local store razz

I used to hang out at my store way too often but there were so many manager changes and then League of Legends started taking my money so I've fallen out of touch with the hobby recently.
