Lou thought he was ready. Sleepless nights had been put to use as the boil scrounged for information and researched possible points of origin. Maps upon books upon printed pamphlets of neighboring towns extended across the boil's floor where his furniture once was, which now resided in the cramped corners of his room. The most insignificant details he could remember of his travels were scribbled upon scraps of notebook paper, while x's marked the areas he had already discounted from the large search. The process of elimination was simple, really. Just tedious.
Lou thought he was ready, but even with all his maps, stockpiled money, and endless charisma, he was anything but.
Practically gloating text invitations had been sent out to the two women who were oh so interested in seeing his obviously awesome past as he sat at the bus stop, draped over the bench as if someone was about to paint him. It would be worth it to see their faces when they walked into his huge mansion filled with butlers and beautiful women. To finally get the duo to shut up about such pitiful things as unnecessary history. Then of course, to reap his rewards from a certain mermaid as she had promised.
Oh yes. He looked forward to that most of all.

Amphi had asked Ruth for an extended vacation from work, telling the Dryad it was for a soul searching Journey...Luckily Ruth thought Amphi was cute and said she could find a part timer for the week or two...depending on how long this went for Amphi and Lou...
The mermaid came prepared, dressing in her favorite rain coat and boots, hair cascading down her back in black ripples. she had a small pack attached to her back, full of all the nesscary things...like snacks and silver seeds. She didn't need a job really, but a benefit was extra allowance money.
She looked at the directions to the bus stop, then looked up at the bus stop...Oh wrong one...
Couple minutes of later, she found Lou and waved.
"I didn't get lost this time Lou!" The mermaid bounced up to him. "So where are we going?"

She was ready for adventure time, yes she was.

Hel was honestly surprised when she received the text. It was a pleasant surprise…and one she’d been looking forward to. She knew the vampire wouldn’t just let this topic go… The reaper cheerfully informed her boilfriend that she’d be gone for a few days, because she was shadowing a sleazy perverted vampire who was in denial about his past, and that she was leaving her mega-chicken with him because she didn’t need it right now. Plus it was just a summons away anyways. Thus Hel showed up at the bus stop, dressing comfortably for traveling with a messenger bag packed with some spare clothes and snacks as well, and a smug smirk tugging at her lips as she spotted both Amphi and Lou and approached them. “Yo.” She greeted them with a raised dark hand. “Knew you could not resist.” Her smirk turned into a grin.

Lou looked up as he noticed a familiar form... Bouncing towards him. Amphi should totally bounce more, in Lou's opinion. "You get a gold star, fish lips." The vampire gave a nod of approval and was about to answer her question when another voluptuous feminine form approached. Obviously he had picked the perfect traveling companions.
"Oh, there's something I can't resist alright." Lou announced smugly as he raised his hand to greet the valkyrie, glancing over towards Amphi with wiggling eyebrows. His past? He was still finding it hard to care. Sure the research made it more... Interesting he supposed, but this was more to tie up lose ends than anything. At least that's what he told himself.
Oh. Right. He still had yet to explain where they were going.
The boil, who had grabbed some old moldy backpack out of a garbage can prior to departure, unzipped one of it's foul compartments and retrieved a map. "I've narrowed a point of origin down to a couple of towns roughly a night's ride from here, though more than likely it's the one smack dab in the middle. It's called Sheol. The problem isn't really in pinpointing the towns themselves, it's figuring out which among the vast myriad of bars is the one we're looking for." The boil gestured to the small mark he had made on the map. "Moreover, besides finding a specific bar, we'll also be looking for a specific woman, who may or may not still frequent this area."

Amphi smile doubled in wattage as she saw Hel, not even questioning why the reaper was there.
"Hel!" Amphi reached over and hugged the reaper and then looked at Lou. "Oh the woman in red?" She nodded seriously, as if the map was suddenly like the map into their very souls....
Well Lou's soul...but the harder she stared, she couldn't tell scribble from line to scribble.
"I will just follow you guys!" yes, that was safe...yes that was good.
Yes, this would suit Amphi.

Hel was pretty much along the same lines as Amphi. She was just along for the ride. To watch this train wreck called unraveling Lou’s past. “Amphi.” Hel returned, wrapped an arm tightly around the ghoul’s waist and squeezing the mermaid to her.
She nodded her head.
“Sounds good to me.” She then paused. “…Eh…?” She then just seemed to notice the bus stop. She then stared at Lou.
“Truly? Are you really that much of a cheap a**?”

"Yes. That woman." Lou agreed, putting away the map in favor of picking up a doodle he had done of said woman.

Beautiful artistry.
He then looked at Hel and tilted his head. "Not really. I supposed we could have taken a train or something, but..." He watched as the bus approached from the distance. "The bus is so much fun! All the different sights, smells, and people that will more than likely make you feel better about your own existence..." He looked like a woman reminiscing about the finer years. "When I first started hopping from place to place, the bus was the only way to go."

"Oh! That woman!" Amphi studied the picture VERY HARD.
"Okay, I will look for her when we get there!!" She'd mainly be looking for the woman with the biggest boobs that wasn't Hel or herself.
Yes.
"A bus sounds fun! I've never been on one! Or a train." She looked at the approaching vehicle. "Should I do anything special!?!?"

Hel just stared at the doodle with a flat look. Those legs weren’t even proportionate to her body. The reaper let out an aggravated sound and blew some whisps of hair out of her face. No train, which she liked better, and now they had this crappy doodle to go off of? Oh well. Hel didn’t get too bent out of shape…she was just following after all…though actually getting results was what she was hoping for. “Ya, ya, whatever!” Hel replied as Lou went off on a tangent, and she ignored that in favor of looking over at Amphi as the bus approached. “Just keep being pretty, baby. That is all.”

Lou put away the drawing as the bus screeched to a halt, the doors creaking open. An aroma of sweat and broken dreams wafted out from the opening. An aroma Lou considered inviting. "I agree. Just keep being pretty." The boil hustled with his moldy pack onto the bus, quick to produce the tickets he had bought for the trio this morning.
Looked like there were rows of three seats on each side. How fortunate for them. The vampire kept his eyes open for crumbles and chewing gumless seating for them.

Amphi didn't mind the smell, as her nose wasn't the strongest, instead following after Lou and looking around like an excited kid.
All big blue eyes and 'o' expression.
"OH CAN I SIT HERE?!?!?" She plopped herself in the seat closest to the window (and thankfully gumless....and crumbles I guess...) and pressed her nose up against the glass. "Is that how it looks moving fast! Wow look at the city, I can't believe we are leaving!" She was bouncing in her seat.
Then she looked at Hel and Lou.
"am I doing good? At being Pretty?" it was a legit question okay.
Plus she was excited.

Hel’s nose wrinkled as the bus door opened, and she heaved herself in after the others. Hrm. Good thing she wasn’t bringing her familiar…she couldn’t imagine it stuffed on a bus, actually. She followed after the two, and then made a face as the mermaid immediately claimed the window seat. Damn it, Amphi. Hel wanted the window seat. Plus she had wanted the ghoul to be a buffer and sit in the middle of her and Lou. Damn it, Amphi. Instead, even without waiting for Lou, the ghoul plopped down on the aisle seat, leaving the middle for the vampire.

"Well of course you can." Lou cooed, gleeful that the middle seat had been 'saved' for him. He enjoyed being the condiments in this white and wheat bread sandwich.
The vampire moved past Hel slowly. Purposefully slow, of course. Had to make sure she saw how good his glutes looked today. Mhm.
"You're doing a wonderful job." Shamelessly his arms stretched out, attempting to wrap them around the shoulders of both ghouls. "I think we should take trips together more often."

Amphi didn't understand why Hel was making that face at her....She just wanted to see all the lights right?
O VO It was her first bus ride, and she wanted to see all the thingssssss....
"Lou..." Amphi reached over and put Lou's outstretched arm from Hel's shoulders to the bust seat arm rest, "Hel has a very nice boilfriend and you shouldn't be touching her." Yeah Lou, No touching Hel.
"I'm glad though! Usually I only went on trips with Roch and his bike! Danny couldn't even go. I'm glad we all get to go together." Amphi...Sunshine and bubbles to the fullest right now.
"What kind of town are we going too?!?!"

“Sit the ******** down, Lou.” Hel snapped, and shoved the boil along as well. “If I wanted to see a zebra in slow motion I would watch the Critter Planet!” She also was about to remove Lou’s arm as well, until Amphi reached over and did it for her. Admittedly, Amphi did it much nicer than her, but Hel was also rather impressed that the mermaid even got the gusto to do it. “ Ya, Lou.” Hel replied, leaning over the arm rest to sneer at the vampire. “ Much nicer than you.” She then leaned back, and made herself comfy, slumping in her seat and pulling up her feet to rest on the back of the seat in front of her. “I will not go on another trip with that sleeze ball…I am only on this one because I want to see what spawned it.” She leaned her head forward to look at Amphi. “You can make another trip to come visit my cottage!”
