 Last year Tishkari hadn't entered into the competition of the Sky Ceremony. It had been her first Festival, she'd been nervous...and, of course, there had been the Rain Ceremony with her beloved Tsisqua Waya. Given the choice, how could she have not spent all the time she could with her mate? But now things were settled, and the former rogue was looking for some excitement. Besides, if she impressed Tsis enough, maybe she could finally get some cubs out of him. Her opponent was a lioness, a fairness that Tishkari approved of. The other lioness was, she'd been told, from the Earth Clan and had the look of a lion born to the Ela'wadiyi. Tishkari also estimated the other female to be a bit older than her. Still, this should be a fair, and fairly interesting, fight.

Haini walked up carefully to the designated battle spot and took a breath, looking around and shifting awkwardly. She smiled when she saw the other as well, though she knew there was going to be a battle here. She was nervous, as she also knew that she was not very good at these sorts of things.
She was probably going to go out pretty quickly here.
Nodding her head in greeting, she readied for the first attack, bracing her body and waiting for a cue to begin. Was it her turn first? How did they know? She was too scared to say anything, and when she opened her mouth to ask, only a small eep came out. It was not really the best first impression, especially for a battle, and she shut her mouth again thoughtfully, looking now like she was staring at her opponent.
But really, she was just trying to figure out why she always had to embarrass herself whenever she did anything.

After waiting a few moments, Haini decided one of them needed to make the first move, and it might as well be here. She let out a battle cry, which sounded very much like the kind of noise a small cub would make when encountering their first ugly bug, and charged forward. Her run was clumsy and full bodied, her paws hitting the earth heavily though she was actually a fairly small lioness in stature and build.
She thudded over the grass and swung her paw with all her might for her best first attack, only noticing too late that she was angled the wrong way and her paw went sailing past the other female harmlessly.
An inauspicious start for her, to be sure.mouselet Just let me know if you don't want to fill these in!
