To keep it short, what draws you into a guild? What makes you go "Wow, I think I wanna be a part of this," whenever you browse a guild's forums or get an invite from the owner(s). And once you're in, what do you feel keeps you sticking around?

Sometimes, it's if I'm bored and I need something new to do.

I haven't joined a new guild since I went away and the last one I did was BBW because it was being run by Punkology.

I typically join any wrestling guild that invites me, and even the ones that are 'hidden' away from me, or ones that don't want me in
I already know about..

As far as what keeps me interested
I immediately take a look at it's crew, and I can tell instantly who's running what
and how fast the guild will last just by the crew alone.

Then I'll take a look at the concept of the guild
Is it hardcore? Is it a carbon copy of others? I look for things that set it apart from the others.
I take a look at the matches, the booking, and everything.

It's typically a long vigorous process of about 1-3 hours give or take depending on how big it is.
If it's just starting out, I typically give it a few months or so and THEN take a better look.

So yeah, it takes a lot for me to fully endorse a guild.

First thing i look at is who runs the guild. There are certain people that i realize i just cannot get along with if they have to book me. Next, I look at the concept of the guild. I don't like being part of more than one extreme guild at a time. i tend to like standard rules. Makes for better storylines when there are rules most times, at least to me.

How long I stay around is determined by how I'm booked. not saying I have to win all the time, clearly, but if for some reason I'm booked to consistently lose and I'm actually on an uber active kick, i leave a guild. If i feel i'm brought in and pushed only to elevate the flavor of the month and then languish in midcard hell or general obscurity, i feel no need to stay around. If i determine that the owner really wants someone else in a spot and will sacrifice me to put them there, i'm pretty much done. Has happened several times and it just irks the hell out of me.

another turn off for me are complete control freaks. If i started the storyline, i should be able to work it my way. I despise an owner who will be a total a** towards me or someone else who is trying to come up with a storyline when given total crap from the owner. I hate having to rush a storyline that was planned to happen over a several month long period because the owner is an egotistical jackass not realizing his incessant need for control is what kills guilds.

in other words, i've become a bit more picky in joining guilds

I join any guild, but what gets me to compete is whether it has a good concept where I can build a decent storyline and who are some of the members. Only reason I leave guilds is because of control freak owners who try to change my characters and storylines.

Also I tend to try to find guilds that are in need of somewhat of a big name to help fill some spots. Though I tend to try and stay at a mid-card level minimum or a t upper carder.

I look at guilds based on reputation as well. If the crew is known for politicking or if someone on crew doesn't like me for some reason I can't fathom or if I don't like them, then I put some distance between guilds. I'm also picky when it comes to my guilds.

Activity and the quality of arrpees. Sometimes crew is an influence.

Call me a "Mark" but I tend to gravitate towards WWE, WWF, WCW, kinda guilds. I'm not one to go for a guild that likes to use deathmatches on every card. I like stories, and holding back before the big payoff.

I think what I'm trying to say is if you got two wrestlers in a story don't book them in one on one matches before your really ready to settle the score. Always keep something between the main players before your ready to end a storyline or feud. I like booking like that.
