Rio winced. A short groan escapjed her. Hands whisked up to block her eyes from the sudden onset. Not many things caused unpredictable snow storms like the one starting up around her. The Aiskala hybrid was glad for her current choice in clan as she wandered the frozen continent. She could withstand storms like these. Unlike on Eowyn where sandstorms would cause her to hide until the storm had passed. She couldn't stand the hot sandstorms that raged there.

Gasping as a flurry of wind launched at her, Erionda side stepped her brows drew together curiously. Her intuition flared, that couldn't have been launched at her intentionally, could it? The hybrid turned to walk towards the wind, the young woman could feel the strong wind of Aisko on her back.

A strange song like whistle brushed into her ears. Erionda had never before heard something so wonderful mixed with something so deadly. Another gust of wind whipped against her body. Erionda's hand snapped up to cheek, her skin stung. Some moisture forced Erionda to pull her fingers away to check. Her fingers had a slight color of red streaked across them.

Erionda hissed, pulling her sword from its sheath. A large dragon like shadow loomed in the thick gathering wind of the snowstorm. Erionda's eyes flashed eagerly at the prospect of a fight. The size of the unknown creature was equivalent to that of any dragon she had faced. Was it a dragon species she didn't know about yet?

Metal sliced through feathers. The snow died with the contact on the creature. Erionda blinked twice, as feathers scattered about the air. Eye's watched a feather drift towards the ground. Stretching her hand out, Erionda caught one in her hand. A sad look adorned the hybrids face. It was a bird!

A bright light emanated from the feather held in a soft balance on the hybrids palm. Gasping, Erionda struggled to hide her eyes behind the hand holding her sword. Turning her head to the side, her hand held the feather as far away from her body as she could until she felt the heavy weight of something much larger in her palm.

Slowly opening her eyes, Erionda turned to look at the item in her hand. A strange stone like gem. The Aiskala ran her finger over the strange new object. She had no idea what it was. Mismatched eyes flicked towards her Aisko home. Perhaps there was something written about this in her father's journals. She would need to scour the pages once again.
