failFor a week Ismene did nothing but read up on Uruu. What did they like to eat, what colors they seem to be calmer around, Ismene read everything that had ever been written about Uruu and was in her fathers store. After a week she was pretty sure that she knew how to capture the Uruu, now all she had to do was worry about the Farmer and how to not get caught by him. She knew that he was out at night just as much as he was in the day, so she was pretty sure going out at night was out of the question. Playing with the feathers on her wings she wondered who she could ask about the times that the Farmer wasn't out on his field, or even better would be to find someone to distract the Farmer while she tried to get herself a Uruu, but it wasn't like she could ask her parents to help her and she didn't really have many friends to ask for help. With a sigh Ismene decided hat she would have to just watch the farmer, there was no other way to know when would be the best time to go back.
So for the next week Ismene spent her free time spying on the farmer and her farm. From the start of the week she realized that he went and ate his meals at the same time each day, so that had to be the best time for her to go. That was good, as long as she came during his lunch that meant that she would be safe. So Ismene decided that she would go the next day at lunch, she would eat with her parents earlier than normal and than sneak off to go catch herself a Uruu!
The next day Ismene scarfed down her food in a way that had both of her parents raising an eyebrow, however they didn't say anything as she finished and excused herself from the table with promises to be back later. Excitedly she grabbed a bag and the foods she was sure that they would like before rushing out the door and headed towards the farmers house. She only had a small time frame to do this and she was determined that this would be the time that she got herself a Uruu, even if she couldn't tame or train she was determined to at least catch it!
As she got to the farm Ismene didn't even look around to make sure that the farmer wasn't there, after all from the data she had collected she was sure that he wasn't going to be out and about. However for whatever reason Ismene was wrong and it wasn't just the farmer that was out but also his young son. As the two of them started screaming Ismene saw the son start running towards her. Sure that she would be caught Ismene started to run back home again. She cursed her bad luck. Maybe getting a Uruu from the farm wasn't the best idea she ever had. Maybe she needed to find a wild one. Well it was back to square one.
