failIsmene walked around outside, her hands behind her back and clasped together as she was deep in thought. Since her last angry talk with her mother, Ildiko didn't really bother her. Matter of fact she hadn't seen Ildiko anywhere around. As for her father, Sophocles, he had been working a lot. Ismene understood, but it did make things pretty boring. For once in Ismene's life she wished that she had more friends or perhaps a sibling. After reading she realized that a lot of the people she read about had pets. Some pets were just for fun, where others helped them and served a purpose. She preferred to have one that served a purpose, but since she didn't want to ask her parents for help and had planned on catching it herself she figured at least her first pet would be just something to keep her company. Taking a book out of her bag she flipped through the pages. There were many types of creatures that could be tamed as companions but which one was perfect for her? Most were too big for just her to catch herself, others didn't look like something she could just bring home and take care of herself. After reading a few pages she was sure she fond the perfect one! A Uruu. They were harmless, and found just about everywhere. And plus they were cute. Yes, Ismene would catch herself a Uruu!
Putting the book back in her bag Ismene started to make her ways towards where she remembered there was a farm full of Uruu's! She wasn't sure if that counted as taming on, but it had to right? After all sure it might be easy to capture a Uruu but than she had to train it and tame it. Yes, even if she got it off a farm that still counted it as her own pet that she tamed. Although she was sure her mother wouldn't be proud of her taming a Uruu she would maybe see that it was a start. As she neared the farm Ismene got more and more excited.
When she go to the farm Ismene started looking around for the farmer. She was sure he wouldn't miss one little Uruu, but at the same time she was pretty sure he wouldn't be okay with her just taking one of his Uruu. Once she was sure that the coast was clear Ismene moved quickly towards the Uruu. As she got closer some of them started to run away while others just rolled into balls. Ismene frowned and started to move towards some of the more brave Uruu, if she was going to get a ball of fluff than she was going to get the bravest fluff there was! As she searched for a brave Uruu the farmer came out and saw her running around scaring all the Uruu and started to yell at her. Frightened Uruu hurried back home, hearing the farmer shout behind her. Although her attempt to catch and train a Uruu was unsuccessful she now knew that she would have to do more research before attempting to get one again.
