It was surprising to think of how well he'd been easing into this second job of late. Despite the magical properties, the strange second appearance and the pretense of a war on his hands, Adonis found that he rather enjoyed energy draining as it held properties akin to poker: bluffing, raising the stakes, and sometimes even folding.
Quotas were easy enough to manage. Often times, lately, he overshot the quota and returned with energy to spare. Whether that earned him respect or not was beyond him, but simply having something to turn to that offset the morbid nature of his original job was enough for now (but the added adoration certainly wouldn't hurt). However, what Adonis wanted of late was to meet more of the Negaverse agents to get a feel for the allies he now worked beside. They were all just as unique and different as he was, and though they lacked the ability to use magic, they carried lethal weapons in its stead. Well, sometimes lethal, sometimes ridiculous. Didn't matter to him though - a pretty face could be lethal enough.
He'd even met others like him - Vespa, Acanthite, Euclase. Strangely Euclase and Acanthite had a mineral name, but he and Vespa did not. He hadn't quite figured that one out yet, and no one else had offered any explanation for it just yet. Maybe they were different, somehow, from the rest. Maybe girls got mineral names while boys got... Something else. He didn't know.
But he did know that the night was uncomfortably cold, and walking down an empty street with hardly a soul in sight left him yearning for some stray stranger with a thick coat. It would've been nice had they supplied him with a decent amount of clothing for the cooler months, but from what he understood they didn't have a choice. He shivered a little, and drew his arms around his chest. Where the hell were the warm hearts on nights like these?
But as he found himself wishing for a little company (if only for the added bodily warmth), he felt something tease his instincts rather far away. And from what he'd experienced, he'd wager it was someone on his side. Adonis wasn't terribly adept at differentiating an officer from a corrupted senshi, but he knew the feel of an ally from an enemy, so he considered that good enough. He'd find out in a matter of minutes, anyhow, and along the way he placed a bet with himself. Curved boots met the sidewalk in renewed fervor, and he silently promised himself a hot bath if the signature were a senshi, and a hot shower if an agent.
Either way, he couldn't lose.

Ate had also slipped into this role fairly easily although that wasn’t a surprise in her case seeing how she had rejected the pull of the White Court for nearly two years. Finding any excuse to torment herself and distance herself from their path had become a daily occurrence until she could fall into the dark embrace of Chaos. She felt at home here. For once her soul didn’t feel like it was being ripped apart, it was relived, sedated and at peace. That may have been Chaos fancy trick to lull you into a sense of comfort with the damage it did to ones starseed but Ate would gladly pay it again to find the harmony she now felt.
It was just the company she kept that drove her insane.
Rolling her eyes to the sky she held out her arm with a grumble, her hold solid and sturdy as she prepared for the onslaught of abuse she was about to receive. She wore the scars well, even approved of a few that had tore her skin and had left intricate patterns. Both in this world and her “civilian” one she had always appreciated a bruise or two and these wounds were no exception and she allowed the abuse to continue knowing their would be questions later. Still it bloody stung.
“HaiIIiIIiiii--iiiiioooOoololll!!” Throwing herself from the wall in a twisting movement that would have given a salmon a run for its money Lyssa shot out from the darkness. Claws out and ready to dig into the outstretched flesh of her ward she began tearing at her once-upon-a-friend. Sharp feet coming in to help sent her rolling as Lyssa spun round and around until she had her well and truly pinned down in this death fight…in a way. The Senshi, for some reason, had the audacity to look bored as she lifted her other hand to take a drag from the cigarette she had been nursing though this frenzied attack, her face turning to blow the smoke into Lyssa face as the kitten chewed on her glove. The fine beads of blood had started to show above the hem line where a successful scratch had taken place and the girl winced in dissatisfaction.
“Hmph….are you done yet cat? It ain't my fault this happened, you shouldnt have distracted me. You know the rules, once a day, thats all we can afford...you should have been more...careful, its too late now.”
Lyssa who had been chewing on the woman’s ribbon spat it out before turning on Ate and started to spit out her words instead. It wasn’t often that the guardian could be turned to anger but if she believed in something, truly believed, than the clouds of her mind would dispersed enough to allow true feelings to shine though and right now she was infuriated.
“Uhhgh! YoU saId ThE PlasTiC CasE of HappIneSS would HappeN, happEn FoR Me! YoU LiEd WinGeD VipER MaIdeN! YoU iS WrOnG! WRoNg!! WRONG!! TheRe Will BE NoT AnothEr ChancE, Not Till BeRnY ComeS AgAIn! AHHHIIiEeE”
Blowing more smoke Ate flicked her ash at the kitten in disgust, a thick clump landing on her furry head which she shuck away more out of habit than realizing the danger it may have been. The Senshi had more things to be concerned about than one of Lyssa’s tantrums, and the more she knew the guardian the more obscure they became.
“Oh my god Lyssa, I pressed the wrong button on the dam vending machine you rancid little bug! Caramel cream is just as nice as butterscotch I promise, it all taste like arse anyway you stupid freak, I don't have any more chang- ” She stopped mid barrage as the snap of power flicked her mind and even Lyssa’s ears perked up at the smell of something new. The argument forgotten Ate closed her eyes and drew on her surroundings with her power - picking out the anomalies, tasting the air until its invisible touch landing on Sailor Adnois with a comforting sigh. He was one of them.
“MeooW BerNy? No…YoUng...So NeW…My ChIlD?” Lyssa had jumped down having sensed the power signature a lot keener than Ate and sat waiting, her tail flashing about in anticipation with the whole chocolate fiasco long forgotten. Ate on the other shook her head in despair flicking her cigarette butt into the shadows before calling out.
“Why don't we check then Lyssa...HELLO! I know your there Senshi..come on sweetie don’t be shy, tell Mamma Ate all about it…”

Bet lost, and he was glad for it.
Before him stood a ... unique scene, as he would characterize it in later encounters, and he could not help but stare in disconcerted incredulity at the cat practically tearing into the corrupted senshi, who simply sat through the entire onslaught. A simple glance in their direction couldn't determine the offender or the offended, and since the senshi seemed to ignore it all, Adonis assumed either the cat was an a** or the incredibly attractive dark-haired senshi knew exactly what she did.
Well, now was as good a time as any to investigate. Besides, he didn't have much else to do that night - might as well team up for a while, try to ignore the cigarette smoke, and strike up a friendship with an ally and her... Pet beast.
Before Adonis even decided to approach, the two called to him readily enough. That bade well - he'd take invitations over solicitations any day. And the Skin Senshi gave an agile wave upon his departure in their direction, half-expecting them to return to the same bickering that could be heard halfway down the alleys flanking both sides of the street. That cat could howl, and she probably knew it too. Come to think of it, he still wasn't entirely at ease about the fact that certain felines had vocal capabilities exceeding some humans.
At least he'd never be hired to clean up a cat's demise.
Mamma Ate? She looks a little young for a milf. Keeping his lewd deductions to himself, Adonis donned a well-worn gracious smile and bowed toward his intended audience with practiced grace. Maybe a little too grandiose, but he wore pomp and circumstance too well to forsake it on a night like this. Besides, the lower he bowed, the closer he got to her cleavage, and that was a reward well worth seeking. The girl had a figure worth dying over, and her somewhat rumpled cat companion tried to ruin that only minutes ago.
"I'm Adonis, but you can call me beautiful, too." After straightening up, he glanced down the stretch of street with a pleased expression. No one else was around to disturb them - at least they could talk in peace. "Mind if I have a seat? You two look like you could use the company, and I think you might actually be hotter than I am." A lie, certainly, but poker players learned to turn bluffs at an early stage. Applying that knowledge toward public interactions was easy enough, and Adonis liked to think it identified him as an excellent tactical resource within the Negaverse.
Which he still knew next to nothing about.
"If you're not too busy with your lovely companion, mind if I ask you a few questions?" Considering the potency of the power he felt form her, along with the jet-black wings flanking her hips, Adonis guessed that she must've been with the Negaverse for quite a while to have earned that kind of power. Maybe someday he'd sport the same black wings, but he wasn't holding out for it anytime soon. For now, he much preferred to learn about the Negaverse and the enemy as much as possible, before tossed headlong into another catastrophic battle.

Watching the boy perform his little act Ate couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at his antics. She had seen many things performed in front of her, not many of them decent or sanitary, but having someone bow was a first and the girl couldn’t help but smile as he finished introducing himself. Ahh young, reckless and full of themselves, just how she liked it.
“Heh…well I’m not one to deny a pretty thing like you, the alternative was going to be “Up ones own arse” but even that’s a little too long to say even for my tastes don’t you think beautiful?” She let her laugh tickle out as she approached him and waved a hand towards a couple of crates upturned but sturdy next to a wall. Not the best seats in the house but it would do for them for now. As she walked she gave Lyssa a wide berth who continued to stare at the spot Adonis had just been, smiling away as if he was still there. Ate decided she would throw something if the guardian didn’t snap out of it in a minute.
“And please, ignore the rabid thing that is Lyssa she is…special…deranged may be a better word. It would be nice to say she was one of those mystical beings, her mind working on a higher plan than our own…but she burped the alphabet this morning so I doubt my ponderings are right.”
She took a seat and lightly tapped the one beside her, her gloves smoothing down the splintered wood as if it wouldn’t catch and snag at her clothes. She grinned beckoning him to her.
“What questions would you like to know beautiful? And please, don’t flatter me, it’s a statement dipped in absolutely truth, I am hotter than you. I have tits.”Strickenized Lyssa will fart on your soul *0*

Adonis was wholly unimpressed by her retort, but opted to ignore it. For now he'd play nice, flatter a little, ask a few questions and hope for a decent answered here or there. Allies though they were, he wondered if what information she'd provide would prove trustworthy. Already she began their initial meeting with an exorbitant amount of sass, so he hadn't much reason to put a great deal of stock in her responses. And since the air grew cold with winter, he yearned for indoor heating rather than sitting atop a chilly crate during a chilly night.
Adonis opted to stand, though he folded his arms across his chest to salvage a little warmth. "Special or not - if tits qualifies you as hotter than I am, then she's hotter than you are." The blonde arched both brows at his company while nodding sagely. "She might be a little... touched, but she doesn't seem so bad." Afterward he crouched, if only to huddle into himself and guard more exposed skin from the lilting breeze peeling through the streets. He didn't much enjoy wearing goosebumps, so using the cat as a means to kneel down and cling to what warmth he had for a while longer proved an adequate cover.
Then again, he just implied that the cat assaulting Ate was a perfectly acceptable act. Oh well; not much he could do about it now.
Adonis loosely folded gloved hands about his neck and balanced his elbows atop his knees while examining the strange red cat staring into the distance. Though his gaze remained focused on her, his subject matter did not. "How long have you been with the Negaverse, Ate? I've heard those wings you wear are quite the mark of accomplishment. Reason I ask is because I've met a few of our opposition, and I'm not sure I buy into the whole Moon Queen enslaving the human race ordeal. Seems like a little too much, even for powered teenagers jumping buildings at night. We can't really be throwing our lives away over something that preposterous, right?
"And that's not all of it either - what exactly are we collecting energy for? Fun as it is, I'd like to know why I'm doing it. Maybe you've got a few solid answers for me, hmm?" Adonis grinned up at his new acquaintance, who seemed much more enthralled with herself than with him. Honestly, he couldn't figure how she held herself in such high esteem - she had good looks, to be sure, but certainly nothing compared to himself. Definitely worth taking to bed, but that sounded more like an act of charity than equal ground.
Adonis quickly tired of crouching to conserve warmth, and finally gravitated toward the crate Ate had indicated earlier. He smoothed the back of his sarong out of habit before taking a seat, and immediately crossed his legs to block more of the breeze from stealing away his warmth. Afterward he laced his fingers together and pressed palms flush, then lighted his chin atop the mass of joints. "And where did you manage to find that cat?"

If her eyes were anything to go by Ate was literally stunned. Lyssa & herself had been compared many, many times in the past. Insane, crazy, unhygienic, but his retort over the “tits” comment was completely new. It took her a moment to analyze what he had said - her mind whirling over the different emotions she should react with until finally, after passing over anger and though hatred, landed on hysterically funny and started to laugh.
“Hahaha! Ok, ok, you have me there, I’ll make sure for you two get to spend some alone time together, am sure she will be more than pleased to know you find her hot.” She decided to leave out the bit where Lyssa would become an obsessive watching creeper over anyone she took a shine too, like Remarque. (She also decided not to say anything about the many toy puppets Lyssa had manged to collected recently with extremities broken and blonde hair gooey for over licking….yeah this boy didn’t need to know that bit. It would be more amusing this way).
Sensing his tone Ate rolled her eyes skywards and sighed. It would be no fun with this one though. As if mirroring his thoughts Ate also couldn’t stand self-important egotistical people, especially when they hadn’t earned said respect yet, not by a long shot. While her humor was sometimes biting and sarcastic she was always open to new allies and often people soon realized her words were there to break the ice and get them at ease, sadly though not for this one. This boy was making it very clear that she wasn’t rating highly on his score board. Well whoopy ******** do.
“Straight down to business then? Shame…well as you asked so nicely. My time with the Negaverse has been short, a mere scattering of months really, but my knowledge of them transcends into years. I have known them as an enemy and as a friend and I learnt the latter was the better one to go for. My wings were…gifted to me by my sacrifice - one that I prefer to keep private for now because, well, am a mean old b***h.” She said it with an air of dignity as if it were a title she had truly earned. Really though she had just taken the hump to this new Senshi and it fell like a veil over her thoughts. Although caring for others came as a last thought to Ate it was still very much there for newly corrupted Senshi waking into her world. Knowing what she did in how they had become gave her a mothering feeling towards them. No one should have to feel pain like that, but this gift was too beautiful to say no too. Still if this one wanted to stand on his own two feet who was she to disagree.
“On the matter of the Moon Queen…well…you ask no small thing. The basic’s of which is steeped in history and legend. Surely you have been quoted in your introduction? Or was that too boring for you pretty little head to concentrate on? I will tell you what I know but like all great stories they are prone to misinterpretation and exaggeration. You will have to take everything with a pinch of salt and a tequila shot…the salt is optional.”

Adonis couldn't suppress a cringe at her crack. That sense of crude humor was overwhelming - just the thought of any intimate relations with some mangy alley cat caused bile to rise in his throat. He swallowed, and attempted to smooth his front in an effort to appear amiable toward the woman. After all, she likely had some useful information, even if she wasn't as attractive as Adonis himself.
He also walked into her comeback. He'd give her that. But, the self-proclaimed mean old b***h faced a long, winding road if she expected to impress him.
Maybe it was time to slacken the professional courtesies for a while. Ate proved unreceptive, or even hostile, when confronted with flattery or politeness. Strangely she seemed to fancy acerbic wit above all for conversation. Not his favorite approach, but maybe he'd get used to it over time. They were allies, after all; nothing came of distrusting them. "So you were with the White Moon before, and you figured it's better to join them?" That meant she defected.Fair enough; if Adonis were on the losing side of a war, he'd choose the victors over the remaining rabble of his allies. She could've preferred self-preservation over going down with the ship, so to speak. But she already proved she wasn't typical... "Or was that not why you joined us?"
Strange how perspectives shift when someone tells their own story. Thus far, keeping quiet around the enemy proved perilous with their constant attempts to woo him over (which didn't surprise him in the slightest), but listening to allies might have a beneficial effect. He might finally solidify his opinion of the Negaverse he joined so readily. Readily sounded better than coerced, anyway.
The blonde laced his fingers together, elbows perched atop his folded legs, and rested his chin atop the mess of digits. Tousled blonde hair swept across his face, partially obscuring his vision of the much more accomplished corrupted senshi. She proved herself increasingly different from the typical personalities he familiarized himself with back home, and met only in passing as he grew up. "Maybe I'm a little out of line, but I've never met anyone quite so proud to call herself a mean old b***h. You're a bit different from anyone I've met before," he conceded in litotes. And it wasn't just her strange personality that qualified his opinion.
It was her even stranger explanation of the Moon Queen that confirmed it. Insults aside, she posed an unusual disclaimer to any potential stories she had. "Were you thinking I had an introduction? Because all I remember was a painful hand in my chest, then suddenly I'm given a dizzying run-down on teenagers with magical powers, and then shoved out into the open with a quota to fill. There wasn't any mention of a Moon Queen, but I might've gotten just a little lost with all these sudden facts that completely contradict my upbringing." And possibly everyone else's. Ate had to understand at least that; she must've endured the same confusing dialogues. "But you're right, maybe my pretty little head was too addled from chemical fumes to concentrate on it. So if you wouldn't mind, please enlighten me." Adonis straightened up, rolling his shoulders to pop the building fluid.
Cold aside, he felt a little antsy sitting still.

The Eternal Senshi smiled sweetly at Adonis as if he were an old, favourite friend, her eyes shutting briefly as she forced the smile. “I was indeed a White Mooner, and I didn’t figure it was better, I knew it was.” She rolled a smudge of dirt between her thumb and index finger before flicking it away, her eyes never leaving the newcomer.
“I was purified at the very beginning, caught by a Guardian cat before the Negaverse could find me. I spent several years trying to fight their battles, trying to “fit in” to their way of life. It didn’t work of course. I found a few that were like me that didn’t follow the…purity that was the white moon court but that was more a link in personality. They believed who and what they fought for was right and just, they just did it in the fun messy way I liked to do things. I, on the other hand, felt like I was being forced in a direction where I wanted to go down another. No matter how much I wanted to believe in their cause, to trust what they said I could never accept it. But man…when the negaverse came to me, she was like a beautiful coat, as soon as I accepted her she fitted me perfectly. I will never go back to being a mindless sheep, Chaos saved me, I owe her my life and my service.”
Ate couldn’t help but laugh then at her phrasing. The very idea that she was talking of Chaos as if it were a person was beyond comprehension. Chaos was no mere human, it was far above that. She spoke of it as if it were some friendly face who she respected, cared for and loved. She brushed the notion away before it could be dwelled upon and instead concentrated on Adonis mention of her attitude.
“Ha! You not the first to tell me that. Probably being British doesn’t help, were all sarcastic wankers over there. But trust me you either get use to me fast or we’ll end up killing each other. I have that effect on people, no middle ground…I should probably tell my psychiatrist that too…” Trailing off she tapped a finger slowly on her chin as if she was thinking deeply before breaking it was a fast clap. “Joking of course! Yet I doubt you would get it, stuck up kid like yourself, your just too cool or some other bollocks.”
She watched him react to her undetailed version of the Moon Queen and realised as time had gone on she had sunk further and further from view. She was no longer the goal many strove for, she wasn’t the rescuer some had pinned their hopes on. She was just a princess from a story book, the catalyst for what was happening now, but she merely a tool and no longer a main character in this tale.
“Phf! Stupid Agents, you should have been briefed by the General who awoke you or at least been given the details. I should have known better than to let them take responsibility for us.” Ate mumbled incoherently for a few seconds as she twisted a black curl around her finger. It was an old argument she was tired of having with the Generals who looked after their budding Lt’s instead of the marvellous weapons the Senshi’s could be. It meant many of them were left in the dark fighting a war they understood nothing about. It was high time she found more of her Corrupted Senshi family for that very reason, something Lyssa never shut up about, the babies of the family weren’t being told enough. And no matter how much she disliked Adonis she couldn’t help but feel a familiar pang of uncertainty & sorrow at his explanation of his awakening. He had been left in the dark instead of being brought into the light.
“Like I said it is a long story and I don’t know all the details. If you want me to say a few words to make everything fit in to place, to inspire you…it won’t happen. That is up to you to find, just like I had to find it. Yet I can help fill in the blanks if you wish.” Strickenized Forever stalling to answer your questionnnssssss emotion_awesome

Adonis might've found her story fascinating if he hadn't already harbored some growing distaste for the much older senshi who practically preened over her own tale. She hadn't offered one inkling of a detail for how the White Moon Court functioned or what they actively sought, nor did she name any names or expand on their queen. Thus far, Ate only proved to be a strange windbag of a corrupted senshi, spouting tales that amounted to nothing more than fluff. From what he remembered of his childhood, Adonis saw Amish dolls with more depth than her stories - and none ever sported a face.
In his growing dissatisfaction, Adonis frowned slightly and allowed his eyes to drift toward the deep red cat that sat in stasis. Somehow the blonde suspected that Ate inflicted enough damage on the cat to render it permanently brainless, or at least intermittent at best. "So, Ate, hon..." In one last ditch effort to coax the real story out of her, Adonis rested a forearm on her shoulder and leaned toward her. "When you're done talking up the Negaverse and calling me an idiot, will you get on with answering me? I'd love to stick around and listen to you drone on about how much life sucked on the White Moon side, but it's cold out and your mention of coats isn't helping."
Using Ate's shoulder to pull himself to his feet, Adonis rearranged his sarong to cover a little more of his desperately white and desperately goosefleshed skin. Afterward he ran a hand up the back of his neck, rendering his hair a bit more tousled around the twin tails rendered upon corruption. "Briefing or no, the general seemed a little busy and I didn't exactly know which questions to ask at the time. But you wouldn't know anything about that - you awakened on the White Moon side. That's too bad!" Adonis threw his hands up in an exaggerated gesture to feign dismissal of her earlier tale. "I probably should've asked your cat instead, even if she seems a little broken."
Adonis cast a sidelong glance at the statuesque Lyssa before rounding to face Ate fully. With one hand on his hip, he gestured in a more muted fashion while he addressed her final, more serious statement. "I'm not sure that you're trying to help, doll. I can only guess that you are. And I like you - somewhat - I wasn't lying when I said I haven't met anyone like you before. But if you can't give me the story that I'm looking for, I'll ask someone else. As much as I'd love to sit around and shoot the breeze, I'm just too stuck up to take it tonight."Matisha i think he would be excellent on ate's dysfunctional team, don't you?

*Please be warned, there is some very strong language in this post*
Rolling her eyes she stifled the growl that threaten to spill from her mouth as Adonis made his approach. The idea of snapping his arm back kept her sane as he waffled on and on, bitching mostly like little ******** do. She knew then that she had met her egotistical match in him and for some reason it didn’t fill her with the joy she would have expected from such a finding. No matter how much forced banter she could try and put on to this train wreck of a meeting it wasn’t going to fulfill anything for her. She might as well just tell him what she knew and be done with it. As the old saying goes, she could be getting drunk right now.
“Uhh whatever kid let’s get this done with. First you want to know if a Moon Queen tried to enslave us? Bottom line is…yep, she sure did. From my own experience and from those I have spoken too it is indeed ”fact” that the Moon Kingdom and thusly a Moon Queen governed the universe. It was a powerful force and controlled all planets and all moons, asteroids and space stations. Anything with a pulse basically even my own planet was servient to the Moon Kingdom.” She waved her hand about motioning to the stars above them when a sudden thought hit; did Adonis even know his home world existed? She knew he would never be able to visit it like she had but surely a Guardian cat had advised him? The trip to her own planet was the catalyst that cemented her idea to corrupt. She would have broken the story off there to question him if not for the look Adonis kept on giving her. Suddenly she didn’t care if he knew.
“…Except one place and that was Earth. Here was a place that would not be forced to worship or obey someone they did not believe had the right to own them. They wanted to be left alone to govern themselves not to be invaded and forced to comply. The Kingdom tried everything to control Earth eventually leading to an all-out war between humanity and essentially alien beings. It’s not difficult to see why it all started, why should the earthlings be forced into glorified slaves? Would you not oppose them too? They expected complete surrender, instead they got a fight…sadly it was extremely one sided. The Kingdom was s**t hot powerful, we had sticks and stones to fight back with, not exactly decent weapons on the best of days. Earth was losing the battle and it took a woman losing everything dear to her to make the ultimate sacrificed to tip the balance of power.”
At this moment Lyssa decided to scream out into the night, her high pitched wail hurting Ate’s ears as she flinched at the sound. It was guttural and pained like the kitten had just been stabbed but the feline made no motion to move from her spot and instead slowly closed her mouth again. It seemed she was crying.
“Errr…anyway, Metallia, our leader, Queen, Goddess, Supreme Being. Whatever you want to call her, heard this woman’s, this Beryl’s, plea allowing this earthling the power to strike back where others had failed, she became something beyond human she became the beginning of the Negaverse. The Moon Kingdom of course wouldn’t allow such a pivotal turning point to take place, they would rather everything be destroyed than have Earth regain its independence – maybe they were scared that once realizing they could win they would spread their influence across the universe causing other riots and wars. It was better to cull us than to have us as a potential threat. In the end the Moon Queen ended us all, everything was wiped out, it was only Metallia’s power than saved us from being torn form existence completely, she allowed it so we could be reborn and the Negaverse continue to protect Earth from those ******** up cunts.”
Pulling out her cigarettes she lit one in between speaking, letting the smoke trail around her face as if it wasn’t really there.
“So yes, as farfetched as it is, a Moon Queen once tried to rule us. She is long dead now but her influence continues on. The Negaverse are still here to continue the battle once fought by humans a thousand years ago and the Senshi that arrive continue to want us as mindless drooling puppies obeying their every whim. Metallia will not allow it, she is continuing to help us fight even now but this also answers your next question. Why do we collect Energy? Because, believe it or not Metallia is weakening. This beautiful soul that has gifted us everything to keep the Moon Kingdom away is weakening and so we give her power, we give her energy, we give life.”
She stopped for a second thinking things over. This was way too much information to tell someone all at once let alone put it into coherent sentences but the boy had demanded she tell him everything and she really didn’t want another sissy fit on her hands. She had had enough of prissy little queens for one day.
“I guess you next question would be why doesn't everyone just give us their energy, especially for a Being who has done so much for us! But there lies the problem! It’s the very reason why you had no idea what was going on before you were awakened - another fantastic little trick if you will by the one and only Moon b***h! She made us forget, all of us. She turned us against her, made those that were able to help reluctant to do so, made them selfish. So when the Negaverse started asking for help people refused, people laughed. People did not care or want to know about a Being who saved them from slavery!. But there were those few, those few that did remember, those that still cared. So when energy couldn’t be asked or begged for – “ Crushing the cigarette in the hand she made her point clear as she spoke. “- It was taken.”
Throwing it down she gave Adonis a stare that would curdle cream, her reluctance to get on with this boy coming quickly to an end.
“So next time you think “Oh yay am a super hero with super powers I can go farting about”, remember who gave them too you and what would happen if they were taken away. Which will happen if we stop finding and giving energy and I doubt it would be very pretty if that ever happens. So don’t be pissy with your portions kid. Take everything you can.”Strickenized This a wall of text!! I would get Lyssa to do more but like, it would be a novel!! I will try and get her to react to Adonis next post

Finally the grouchy windbag got on with a story worth hearing - and it only took him a solid half hour of attempting to get along with her to pry it from her mouth. Adonis stood contrapposto while Ate began a twisted tale, his gaze initially hard and impatient but slowly softening while she went on. In a sense, he considered the story akin to an intergalactic soap opera, from what he could process of the occasion, but if these were truly the beginnings of the Negaverse, then they must've had a noble cause. But where was this woman, Beryl? Where was she now that the Negaverse fought for so long? Was she somewhere in the Rift, where he'd tread only once, biding her time and sending orders through her General-Kings and -Queens?
The mention of her planet caused Adonis to hum thoughtfully; this was not the first time he heard of home planets, but he found them an increasingly uncomfortable topic. For a boy born and raised in Pennsylvania, he greatly disliked this concept of being from a foreign planet. Having no memories or concept of this second home in the stars, he hardly considered himself a product of some dead rock. In fact, the idea repulsed him greatly - why would he want to be from such a place? Already tired of thinking about it, he instead shifted to stand by Lyssa, who still seemed frozen in time.
But Ate's story continued at a much darker clip - it seems no amount of resistance proved worthwhile, and the Moon Queen essentially obliterated all life on earth. "So are you saying we were all alive some years ago when this happened? Civilian identity and all?" His ears still rang from Lyssa's sudden scream during the tale, but Adonis still swept the cat into his arms. Warm and soft for the most part, despite the pungent garbage smell - and it looked like her fur was washed in the wrong direction. "But Earth wouldn't have more than one senshi, right? So if what you're saying is true, then... We would've been attacking the side we're on now." Not that Adonis cared much for actions he couldn't remember, from a time long before he was born.
Still, what Ate offered him was ultimate reassurance that his choice proved worthwhile, that the Negaverse was a side far more fitting for him than any White Moon group - despite their desperate shows of affection to win him to their side. He might've had misgivings about the storyteller, but from what he could comprehend of the tale, the Negaverse most certainly proved a standing force to the Moon Queen and all her subservient planets. Including, possibly, his.
"Metallia's weakening... Hear that, kitty?" As a means to distract himself from any potential fear in that statement, Adonis started to scratch the top of Lyssa's head between her ears. Now that he knew his draining served some great purpose, Afonis found all the more reason to pursue it beyond its entertainment value and demanded quota. If it kept him in power, kept him alive, then why abandon it? Why slack off like Ate expressed, and waste his time on trite tricks like bounding across rooftops just to prove his power?
With a short scoff, he returned his attention to Ate, now reeking with cigarette smoke and smugness. "I appreciate your candor in answering my questions, but don't be so quick to assume I go farting around. I've been doing pretty damn well in draining energy, since I was assigned the quota and taught how to do it, so I'm more than capable of pulling my own weight here. What you just gave me is a reason to pay my dues beyond just for shits." In shifting his weight, he shifted his approach to the corrupted eternal. "Thanks, Ate, for explaining that to me. At least you proved that you're capable of having a use outside of slighting your allies." Afterward he offered a near-identical smile to his initial greeting.

Listening Ate fought the urge to ignore all his questions and walk off. It would have felt so satisfying to leave him right now with only half his questions answered and more entering his head ever y second but alas even she had to stop being a b***h all the time and she took in his questions seriously thinking them over slowly before answering. “No I don’t think we were us as we are now. It’s something I can’t quite answer; they were us but not us. See it’s like this, you were you but due to different events, culture, experiences, you would be the you of that era because of what had happened in your life making you the person you were then, which is completely different from who you are now but…you are still the same you …uhh! Its some sort of quantum bullshit that I do not understand. Just…if you ever get to experience past memories just hold the ******** on and remember not to s**t yourself, it aint pretty remembering things as someone completely different but knowing it’s you, ******** with your head for weeks.“ She gestured with her hands at the seriousness of this comment as she began rubbing at her temples. If she remembered correctly she spent most of the days after seeing her past self crying into a bathtub eating ice cream. It wasn’t pretty. She watched as he snatched up Lyssa in a move that set her teeth on edge. Disliking him as she did she knew such a move would either send Lyssa into fits of hysterics or she fits of vomit. She gripped the edge of the crate with tense fingers as she watched Lyssa as he spoke his other questions, her eyes never leaving the kitten as she anticipated what would happen. She felt the need to gather bandages more keenly than she had ever felt before. But it was not required. If anything Lyssa was relaxing into his arms, her body going limp and malleable as he held her and for a moment Ate could have mistaken her for just another alley cat, normal in every sense of the word. But that would have been wishful thinking. “Uhh….be careful, she….can surprise you…horribly. Anyway from what I’ve heard Earth doesn’t have a Senshi… No instead there were the humans born and bred here that were destined to protect it, we had a king I believe or a Prince, I cant remember the details too much but no Senshi - huh I never realized but, maybe that why so many other Senshi can be here without being rejected since usually you have to seek permission to visit another Senshi’s home world surely it would be the same for here too…or I could just be bullshitting “ She shrugged casually as if it wasn’t any big deal and continued to watch Lyssa who had started vibrating after the soft touches Adonis has started to give her, it was like watching a ticking time bomb. “But yes as Senshi, past Senshi, we could have very well been sent here to destroy this place, we were as corrupted and controlled as all the others. It is only because of Metallia that we were shown the error of our ways and given the opportunity to work by her side. We are few though…maybe some of us are too far gone that Metallia cannot rectify even in this life…those Senshi that do not join us, you should kill them. Mindless puppets, it would be a mercy killing to set them free from the bindings of the white court, remember that.” She watched as he thanked her, her mouth smirking into a smile as he pointed out her best asset. If she was going to do something bad she might as well do it well and cussing and verbally abusing people was just her thing. She was slightly proud that he had noticed. “Thanks kid, I hope you one day grow capable of growing a pair of….opps mind the nails.” If Adonis thought Ate was going to explain further he was sadly mistaken as she stood up and back with her arm’s crossed over her chest, a look of delight filtering over her face as she watched the show. The bomb had just exploded. “AND thEN THE CAgE CamE DOWn! PHEWWWSHHHH!” The kitten had spent most of her time twisting around in his arms while Ate spoke, her tail suspiciously flickering until she saw a moment to pounce on her prey. Both paws lay either side of Adonis face resting on his cold cheeks as she stared into his eyes her nose squashed up against his. And then the rubbing began. Up and down, round and round Lyssa shifted her paws this way and that until she had developed a rhythm on the boys’ face, his mouth forcing to be pulled wide and then together in a serious of lunatic grins and pouts. She jiggled them until she could feel them wibble under her pads and spoke to her of forgotten sandwiches. “ “ThEY CaPtuRED ThEm All but I StIll heaR The CheesE and PicKlE BagUetteS CaLlinG To Me. ThE DirE MaidEn, The ScorNed PrincEss, ThE MisTboRn Lover, The ForgOtteN MothER, ThE WillowEd HearT, ThE TwistED DreamER, The….thE...I, I….I ForgEt The-m…I Can-t” She stopped moving and instead folded back onto Adonis her strangled cries echoing around them as she rubbed her face (and snot) into his chest. Strickenized Another wall of text, feel free to throw Lyssa against a wall <3

From what Adonis gathered of Ate's convoluted explanation, the exact same him existed a thousand years ago with a different name and different memories. Reincarnation, in a word: oddly validating for a religion he left behind some years ago. The blonde shot her a sideways glance, furrowing his brow as he offered a tentative acceptance. "... Thanks, I'll keep that in mind." The hell is she going on about? Past life memories... My current ones are more than enough.
Adonis' eyes widened as she launched into tangential mumbling, more toward herself than him. "Either you know far too much about this, or you really are just bullshitting. A king? No earth senshi?" Perhaps he would've balked more animatedly if a liquid cat wasn't pooling in his arms about now. "I never knew there could be so much to this war. Interplanetary conflict, rebirth, royalty..." He sighed. "A little too much to take in on one go, Ate. Scale it back a bit, hon."And he offered a calm smile, if only to excuse his inability to take it all in somehow. Likely the ornery hag would dismiss him again, call him a dumbass, but it wouldn't make a difference - pleasantries were all he offered at this stage.
And suddenly Ate wasn't so important anymore. No, now the very feline he held so easily before pressed her paws to his face, swirling them about as if kneading dough. "Uh..." He eked out, unable to form legitimate sentences with her constant manipulation of his mouth and face. Adonis started backing up out of sheer reaction, nearing the edge of the curb, his eyes never leaving the strange cat's. Even her nonsensical wailing about sandwiches and strange women set him on edge, and finally he reached the curb where he stepped backward and felt no ground to meet him. In a stumble, he dropped the cat straight out of his arms like a fat sack of flour, and he didn't quite regret it much - creepy little thing deserved it, for all he figured.
"The hell is wrong with your cat, Ate?! First she claws you half to death, then she starts rubbing her paws all over my face!" Surely he had red splotches where she started that mess of activity. "Ugh..." He groaned, covering his face with his palm. "That's disgusting. There's even cat snot all over my chest. My chest, Ate, my bare skin! It's gotta be toxic or something..." Out of sheer desperation he ran a hand through his hair. He'd almost certainly start pacing at this point... At least he managed to sidestep the quivering mess entirely and interject a great deal of distance between himself and the offending feline.
With another groan of disgust, Adonis peeled off one of his gloves and used the soft material to wick away most of the snot. Only after he scrubbed thoroughly enough to induce red skin did he finally consider himself in tolerable condition. Now thoroughly wilted, he slumped next to Ate with a huff. "You're both strange company... I'm starting to think the Negaverse is full of social rejects." He sighed; being surrounded by the ugly and socially inept proved a lot more trouble than it was worth.
"Well, Ate, thanks for the answers. I'd say it was nice meeting you, but I can't really be sure..." She wanted honesty, didn't she?Matisha if it was bisch she'd get flying dragon kicked through saturn's rings and into the a*****e of pluto, but adonis is too nice at this stage to do that

"A little too much to take in on one go, Ate. Scale it back a bit, hon." If Adonis was listening he would have heard Ate’s mind snap at his words. Hadn’t she just said this was TOO ******** MUCH TO EXPLAIN! Eye twitching she lowered her hands that had subconsciously curled into fists at his comment. She would punch him in the vocal cords before the night was over, she was sure about that. Through gritted teeth she nodded, eye still over active. “Yee-sh, I guess you could say that...you stupid tool.” Yet as predicted she saw Lyssa react, felt the wave of nauseating sound hit her full on and watched Adonis cope with it. Welcome to the Negaverse boy, this…is its mascot…
Lyssa bounced as she hit the floor, her mind forgetting her body could twist and land on its feet opting instead to land on her side in a puff of dirt and dust. Lying there she moved her arms and legs back and forth as if running but only moving mere centimeters. She looked like a wind-up toy gone wrong.
“Hey she isn’t my cat and that haha… that is hah, that is hilarious. Hahahaha!” Fighting against her laughter Ate double over, her arms wrapped around her middle as she bent over laughing, her eyes opening once or twice to catch another glimpse of the appalled Adonis before spitting giggles again. She couldn’t help it, he looked so offended by what had happened. Ate woke up to that! If anything not finding snot in her hair gave her worry for concern over Lyssa. Trying to stifle a laugh with her hand Ate pushed a fake tear from her eye as she let the fledgling Senshi sit beside her, even now she wanted to snort again with laughter.
“Hehe.heha…hmm, yes you can say that. But aha-hem than again I think the Negaverse just see’s potential in its ranks, or maybe those so scarred by life deserve to be in power for once. Who knows, I don’t want to second guess Metallia since she recruited you of all people… but alas I shall obey even her more flamboyant ideas.” Sitting up she stretched out, her elbows and shoulders cracking as she did so, each one the echo of a broken bone.
“And yes kid, it was eye-opening to meet you too but if you ever speak to me again like tonight -” She turned so she was looking him dead in the eye, her face mere inches away. “I will crush your per-pubescent ball sack between my fingers you slimy little turd.”
Lovely. Strickenized Hahaha I would love to see Bish hoof Lyssa over a wall or something, that would be amazing!

Adonis stared in absolute confusion as the cat echoed running motions uselessly, each paw stroking air. The blonde shuffled backward slightly, wary of lingering too close to the obviously broken feline and its potentially lethal claws. Why would you even want this cat around you, then? He thought incredulously. Ate must be partially braindead too, or she wouldn't be carting around this stupid ball of fur and letting it tear into her legs... And it would explain all the issues with her behavior... At least the agents appeared marginally more sane. Ate was just... He wasn't even sure there was a psychological classification for her, but he didn't know much about psychology to begin with and couldn't be assed to learn of it.
Crazy was crazy, did he need an explanation for it?
"Oh, I wouldn't say that, Ate." Adonis commented assuredly as he crossed his arms. "It looks like they convince the good ones to join and then pick up a few meat shields along the way to protect the assets like me." Why else would they recruit a nutcase like Ate, aside from protection for those who matter? Scarred for life sounded more like broken for life. "Unless they consider a cat-sitter a position of power. Won't fight you over that one, not with that cat." Besides, you just want to sit around and snark me because I look better than you in a skirt.
As Ate stretched, Adonis leaned away from her until he finally rose to avoid her touch. She wanted desperately to crawl under his skin, but he assured himself that he wouldn't allow it. Even so, a shudder threatened an easily-spotted twitch in his otherwise smooth demeanor. She was strange, he didn't like her, he didn't like how she behaved, and he didn't like her cat. Nothing about her spoke of allies, from her acidic green stare to that painted smoker's mouth. Now why would he work with someone like that? Why would the Negaverse recruit someone like that? What a waste of power on such a caustic individual. He'd rather toss himself from a bridge than assist her at this rate.
"Is that your way of saying you want to feel me up? Cute, but you'll have to work on your pickup lines. Maybe I'll see you another time, Ate, and we can work on killing each other." With an exuberant wave, he started toward the street at a leisurely pace. Likely he'd hear further insults from her, or more of that irritatingly grating laughter, but he had his fill of oppressive cigarette smoke and snide comments. She could take that cat and shove it up her own a**, for all he cared. Maybe the furbag would like it up there with all those ridiculous stories of past lives and intergalactic wars and princess of the moon bullshit.
Running a hand through his hair, Adonis decided on a shower to punctuate his evening. Sitting next to her, he felt some kind of atrocious film creeping onto his skin from her existence alone, but at least he knew who to avoid indefinitely.Matisha oh ate ily let me take you home. fin, and if you want to write a close for ate, feel free!
