Overview

Though Hermione diligently attended Pokemon Trainer School while her peers were already hitting the road in search of excitement and battles, she's now an adult and has put her rather impractical heels on to find some adventure -- and trouble -- of her own. What she lacks in practical and worldly experience she makes up for in thinking she knows better than you, and while that may rub some the wrong way, she's too busy making friends and initiating battles to care. Battle, befriend, or get the hell out of her way!

Physical Description

Already taller than most young women her age at five eleven, Hermione wears heeled sneakers that further cause her to tower in crowds. Her outfit includes a black one-piece jumper that rests high on her thighs, a poufy pink cap, gloves with white collaring that sit right below her elbows, and a white neckscarf that matches her belt. Her thick brown hair curls down to her butt, though she will sometimes braid and bunch it all beneath her cap so it doesn't interfere with her attempts to run or climb. She is tanned-skinned and freckled, and her eyes are a such light brown they appear to be whiskey/gold. TL;DR: See avatar.

General Personality

Socially, Hermione is overtly flirtatious and approachable. She has no qualms introducing herself and befriending strangers, particularly those who share her interests in ambitious Pokemon training, reading, and going out to have a good time and/or adventure. She tends to ignore personal space rules unless reproached, and is thus very touchy and prone to giving hugs or slapping someone on the butt as a hello. She's blunt and speaks her mind a little too often to be polite. Because she is haughty and sometimes dismissive, she's not good at accepting advice, though she offers it unsolicited to others regularly.

Usual Activities

Whether it's rain or shine, Hermione is most often found wandering Kodo in search of ways to better herself as a trainer and Pokemon to add to her collection. Frequent breaks in adventuring include nights out on the town or afternoons in a library or coffee shop to enjoy a good read.

Chance encounter on a roadside evolves into a battle (friendly or otherwise.)
Happening to be exploring the same field/mountain/etc in search of Pokemon.
Having lunch at a particularly busy/cramped eatery and having to share a table.
Striking up a chat while waiting for Pokemon to be healed at a Pokemon center.

Trying to purchase the same item from a Pokemart or market place.
Literally bumping into each other while researching at the Great Library.
Catching a Rocket doing something sneaky and attempting to intervene.

Possible Icebreakers

Hermione is an openly curious character and won't hesitate to come up to another character to ask questions about unique Pokemon if they're present.
If lost (which happens frequently as she's never left home before), she will absolutely ask strangers for help. She just probably won't listen.
Being within thirty feet is honestly good enough, she'll start talking to you almost immediately.

Team Rocket Specific

Hermione is openly hateful towards Team Rocket. If your character is a Rocket and is in uniform, conversation is out of the question; she'll only attack Rockets.
(Cheat and have them in casual clothing if you want to strike up a friendship. She'll never know!)
I am open to attempted Pokemon/item/money snatching; your Rocket can try or succeed in snagging Hermione's stuff, and our scene can be her chasing them down to get it back.

Please note that I'd greatly appreciate if you let me know upfront what kind of relationship you're looking for with this character, friendship or rivalry. Characters will of course do what they feel like, but there's always a bit of tweaking I can do while roleplaying to nudge Hermione in the right direction.

Backstory

Chikorita was given to Hermione as a graduation present after she voiced her intention to leave her childhood friend Flygon behind. Domestically bred, Chikorita was the perfect companion for a beginner trainer: calm, obedient, and loyal. Hermione became attached to her very quickly, and the two often journeyed side-by-side in all manner of weather in the early days of their adventuring.

Personality

Chikorita is, like many of her species, a peace maker. Whether it's squabbling Pokemon or people, Chik's quick to try and soothe restless friends, and will often curl up on someone's lap for a petting as a distraction. She often fusses over others, and has been known to nudge Hermione into taking a nap when she's pushing herself too far, or share her snack with other Pokemon while visiting towns. Chikorita strives to be as good as Hermione dreams, and has every intention of improving and evolving as quickly as possible.
