I think it's this one. Ankou said the right."
Alva stood infront of the plain door that looked exactly like the others either side, she knew one was the Valyrie's rooms. "Okay." She replied and reached out to knock on the door. The cat woman might not even be in. The girl was not entirely sure how much she really wanted to go hunting for some monsterous dog, even if it was divided into three. Still,, her destiny was decided and whatever Val wanted she got. If it helped her feel better, if it would help the Underworld in the long run then it would be worth it.

Jinx was actually inside, as she hadn't had that much to do lately. Anima mostly handled the kids and their education, and her master was usually gone, which left her with... Not that much, to be honest. Before Ishum had vanished it had been a little better, but now...
The knock made her eye perk up in curiosity. "Come in !"

At the sound of the voice Alva opened the door and walked in, she did not know Jinx very well, if at all really. She had seen her around but that was all. Perhaps she would let Val do the talking. "Morning Jinx." The goddess said brightly. "I need your help. I am trying to recover what I can of the Underworld whilst I am stuck as a mortal. I am interested in finding the guardians, Ankou told me you might be able to help me track Cerberus down."

Jinx sat when she saw Alva come inside, bowing her head slightly in respect. "My lady."
She had little memory of the goddess, much like Ankou did, which... was curious in itself. Perhaps her own, long sleep had more of an effect than she had ever thought it could have had.
"Puppy ? Hn... I think Ishum took them when left, which..." Her ears drooped slightly. "Well. You know." Ishum had left, and had newer returned. He had not told her where he was gone, but he had a good idea. "I think Ishum left to try to reach the Underworld up on his own. Lord Nergal left him up here to serve as his eyes and ears while he was down there... And he did not take it well." To say the least.

"I have a slight memory of him. Ishum that is. a shadow, just like all the memories I have." A smirk graced her host's lips. "but we must live in the now. So, where might he have taken them. Would he have gone to the World Tree? or another entrance perhaps?" It would be useful for her to know if there were other active gateways.

"There is another pathway, under St. Kore I believe." Jinx said, expression turning thoughtful. "It is a long maze-like path through the catacombs. The last time he and Echo tried to use it, the door there would not open to them... But that was when the Underworld was first remade. It would not surprise me if he tried that again before heading to the world tree." The world tree was an even more confusing network, and one had to be very well prepared to even think of surviving the trip.

Valyrmora considered this for a moment. "I am due to travel to the world tree with Ankou in a few days, so perhaps if we went to the tunnels under St Kore and checked there first, if they are not there then we can look when we travel to the tree. Would you be willing to guide me?"

"Very well, my lady." She did not know the area all that well, having no reason to have gone down there herself, but she would make do the best we could.
"Shall we go now ?"

Val nodded. "Yes, we are ready. I have been to St Kore before." She said, remembering the children's almost catastrophic attempt to summon the spirits. "But have never truly explored it. I did not know it had an entrance to the Underworld ... shouldn't she have sensed that?

"There is a door there, Ishum said. Very deep into the Earth. But the last time they tried to open it, it would not answer to him, or to Ianthe." Jinx blinked, suddenly realizing something. "Do you remember him ? Ianthe ?" Things had more or less fallen out in between the runemaster and Lament due to contrasting opinions. The aoide had held out hope that his true master would eventually return, but he, like most of them, had their hopes dashed though.
Perhaps he could serve the lady, instead. The Underworld had always been where he belonged.
But on the actual matter at hand... "But that was not too long after the Underworld had been recreated. It was still growing and shifting, or so my lord explained it to me. The only path ways that did not connect and disconnect was the one anchored to the World Tree." Though Ankou had seemed confused about this in his own way. "If Lord Nergal is inactive, then in theory... It should not be growing or shifting ? So Ishum might have managed his way though, then. As for the door itself, I will be little help in opening it." Such was not within her power.

"My memory, I'm afraid is in tatters. I can barely remember myself." She gave an apologetic smile. "I am not looking to enter the Underworld, as I understand it my host would be unable to cope. But I think the creatures of the Underworld would be drawn to it? If they're not in the place itself then they would be near it, waiting perhaps?" it was a bit of a crazy theory but it was a start.

"It simply occurred to me just now, that is all." Jinx knew very well that many things eluded the reborn - and given her own lord's memory, some of these things were perhaps gone forever.
"That makes sense to me. They would not seek the realm itself, at least I do not think Cerberus would... I believe it would instinctively seek a gate to guard." And this happened to be the closest gate, so to speak.
It would be a short trip, and once they were outside, they started to head in that direction. "As for Ianthe... Well, he was one of Lord Nergal's own, one that remained in the Underworld as it collapsed. We were unable to convince everyone to leave." The cat shook her head. "When the door below St Kore's was opened and the realm remade, he was pushed out, still alive but... worse for the wear. His mind is intact, his body.. not so much. He grew closer to Lament as time went by and Lord Nergal did not seem to pay him much notice... Though they had their own falling out after their conflicting viewpoints got in the way one time too many." Jinx saw no need to elaborate. The lady had met Akakios for herself, after all.
"The last I saw of him he kept mostly to himself, keeping track of things on what used to be the family dwelling, but now I do believe it is empty. Both mother and son left it behind to rebuild themselves anew. Ianthe should likely do the same, but nothing I could say seemed to convince him."

Val was interested in this Ianthe, it seemed he had been pushed aside far too much. "I think I'd like to meet with him when I get back. Hopefully I can convince him to join our cause." They drew closer to the town, that was beginning to look more and more like a real town. It was hard to believe that it had been ruins once. "Well, this is different." She said as the walked down a newly paved streets lined with shops, some trading, others empty and waiting for people to take them on.

"If anyone can, my lady, I believe it will be you." The Underworld had always been where Ianthe had belonged, and even faced with what looked to be certain death he had refused to leave it. Being forgotten by his lord had hurt him more than he had ever said, Jinx was certain. Even Anekbah had gotten more notice, which had to sting, given Nergal's rampant dislike of demonkind in general.
"My lord tried to reach out for him, but... Similar as might be, it was not the same. He cannot give Ianthe what he really wants."
There was much Jinx had to say on the whole thing, but she did not see it as her place to do so.
"It is recent." That much she was certain. "The work of another god, I believe... Industry." She had heard that much as she went out and about with her business.

Val knew that she would be able to find this Ianthe a place, the Underworld was large and with Nergal gone she would have to take it all on her own shoulders. Any help would most definitely be welcomed. "Ahh yes that makes sense." It was certainnly well constructed. "It's good, as I understand it has been long enough since gehenna, it was time some normality was returned to the world." They wandered through the new streets, past its new inhabitants.
