Erionda tilted the large bottle up to her lips. The cool water gushing into her mouth until the entire container had been drained. Pulling the metal away from her lips Erionda heaved a sigh. Today even the water in her canister wasn't enough to satisfy her gnawing thirst. It had been a fortnight since Erionda had been in Aisko, there were other things to accomplish on Eowyn before then. Licking her lips as if she could get the last remaining moisture Erionda's shoulders sagged.
Her home on Aisko was taking longer than anticipated to clean and fix. While many parts were now in repair and quite livable it wasn't up to the picky hybrids satisfaction. Finding a lone tree among the sand Erionda rushed to hide in the shade of the leaves. Even though it wasn't thick enough to cast a deep shadow, even the small shade it gave was plenty to the Aiskala female. Sinking down with her back to the tree Erionda leaned her head against the bark. There had to be other ways to cool off out here, and you would think that being in Eowyn for so long would have given her a chance to get used to the horrible heat.
It wasn't the case however. Her trips to Aiskala had given her body a break from the heat. Given her a taste of what it was like to live comfortable, which made life even harder on Eowyn. Cursing Erionda turned her eyes towards the sky. Something was flying towards her, at an increasingly faster rate. Shuddering at what it could be darkened into shadows by the sun on the opposite side Erionda pulled her feet against her chest. Her body preparing to fight. What in all of Magesc could be flying at her so quickly!?

Kioda had left Soudul, her interest in the creatures on Eowyn and her need to fight the Kiandri to grow stronger drove her reasoning. Her flights also made life more fun, she loved feeling the wind in her wings and tail. Emerging from the tree's Kioda gave a loud trumpet, her own way of saying good-bye to the strange dark world. Unlike Serenia she wasn't as fond of the forests in Soudul. She would have to search it again later for signs of places to stash her pile of orbs without others discovering her hidden treasure. A cave perhaps would be a perfect idea, but forest area's didn't harbor many of those. That she could find.
Jerking as a roar answered her good-bye. Her teal eyes looked behind her to see what it could be. Her heart jumping at the sight of a Diabi following behind her. Shivering fearfully Kioda pumped her wings quickly. She wasn't strong enough to take on most Kiandri how was she supposed to stand up to one of the three strongest dragons in all of Magesc. That was if the celestial wasn't just a myth and really existed.
Kioda could feel the muscles on her back push and pull as her wings moved to carry her forward. The Diabi was slowly gaining speed on her. Rumbling, Kioda tried to keep moving. She couldn't hide in the forest, it would easily smell her out. Perhaps if she flew over the sea she could loose it. Maybe then it would give up it's fight and return home thinking her a useless target.
The ocean passed below her and the landmass of Eowyn replaced it. Still the Diabi followed. Still it grew closer. Kioda trumpeted her pain, she didn't want to die here! Not like this!! A second trumpet was cut short as her eyes fell on a familiar female hybrid crossing the sand. Yes, she could help! She had experience killing dragons this strong! She could save her from this horrible mess! Tilting her wings Kioda angled towards the now resting hybrid. The diabi still close on her tail as she landed in the sand before the girl. Her claws digging deep as she struggled to move on her legs.
"Help!!" Kioda screamed.

Three pairs of eyes, those of Junjie, Abellio, and Arjan, all lifted to the sky when there was the sound of screaming overhead. Junjie spotted a Drakein flying overhead followed by... something he'd never seen before. The Hybrids eyes went rather wide, mouth dropping open, and then he turned to look at the Keinova and Keindred who both seemed as shocked as him, "Come on, we need to help." He said, hand tightening on his grasp on his dragon head staff before rushing forward toward what he felt might be a battle. He didn't know how he felt about battling against that massive shadowy dragon but he couldn't very well do nothing, he couldn't let her die after all. Instead he would try to help her in the same manner that he helped all of those around him who were in need.
Once he felt that he was close enough and he lifted his staff, calling forth his Ysali power to try to pull forth some vines from the ground. It was a difficult thing to do in the middle of the sandy Eowyn desert but given the fact that the Blood Moon still shone darkly he still wasn't able to use many of his Aedaun spells. Sweat broke out on his skin as he cast the spell, finally dragging forth the vines from the ground, trying to entangle the dark one with them. He didn't want to let it get hold of the Drakein that was fleeing from the dragon and he would put all his power into this spell as possible, even if it was a huge drain on his energy, "Ahhh, Abellio... with me!" He called out to his feathered companion.
The Keinova rushed forward to help, using his own ability to manipulate vines to aid Junjie in the spell. While he would never be near as strong as an unbonded when it came to magic he could still aid his Junjie in this capacity, something that made him more then happy. Arjan on the other hand merely came to stand behind Junjie, waiting to catch him just in case he collapsed.

Erionda couldn't believe the sight before her eyes. Kioda had landed with a Diabi in front of her. Mismatched eyes flashed between the Dragon and the Drakein. She had only recently healed from the last battle with a Gaili in the Malro desert and now Kioda had lured a Diabi here? Before Erionda had even the second to react vines were pulling themselves up out of the ground. Encircling the Dragon before her. Stumbling on her feet Erionda looked back towards Kioda with confusion. The ysali Drakein didn't seem to be doing any form of magic. So where were the vines coming from. Ysali didn't live here, neither of her Drakein could perform this magic and as far as she knew neither could Kilians bonded, Amadia.
Pulling out her sword with a growl as even more vines burst from the ground to entangle themselves around the dragon. Erionda took that moment as an opportunity to sever the wings. She was going to ground the dragon in case it broke away from the very things holding it down. A charging dragon with only tail claws and teeth was an easier fight than a dragon with wings ontop of them. Grabbing up fistfuls of plant life Erionda pulled and climbed her way ontop of the Dragon. Her heart rate rising with the thrill of the kill that would follow.
Without a sound Erionda plunged her sword into the Dragon. Long white feathers outlined in blue burst from the middle of her back before the dragon crumbled into dust. Her wings flapping hard to keep her from falling to the ground. Once stable her wings folded against her back. Giving her a little welcome relief from the heat. Her blue and violet eye searched the land in front only to find just Kioda. Turning around the hybrid paused a smile reaching her face. It was Junjie!
"You're a welcome surprise!" The hybrid flushed. Her eyes bright as she welcomed her friend. "What are you doing on Eowyn?"

Kioda trotted forward around the tree. Her head moving around to see the Dragon again. Pleased to see vines crawling up it's legs. Wait! She wasn't using her magic, she should know. It was hard to pull plant life in Eowyn. She had learned that deep down in the caves when Erionda had guided her through it. Eager to know who was helping her eyes fell on a Dovaa not far from where she was standing. A low rumble came from deep in her chest. She didn't hate Dovaa like she hated the blood thirsty birds or the souless beasts. But he had bonded with him. Not just one but TWO!
The Drakein's muscles rippled along her back. What was he thinking! And where they the ones holding the beast in place? Shaking her head to dislodge thoughts like they were droplets of annoying water. Kioda dug her claws into the ground. Hissing as her own magic burst to life. Her vines joined the rest of the ones growing around the Dragon until it's death had been claimed by Erionda.
Thanking Erionda, Kioda pranced forward with her head held high. Now she needed to know about the two bonded with this strange Dovaa. Sniffing the taller feathered one Kioda circled him before sniffing the second.
"You shouldn't be here. Are you bonded to that one? How does he treat you? Does he feed you? Teach you to fly?" At the word fly Kioda extended her wings with a look of superiority. "Does he give you the option to break the bond? Would it defend you if you were attacked."
The ysali continued to circle the bonded Drakeins eying Junjie as she continued to pace about. She had no interest in the female hybrid. Erionda's bonded were well taken care of, Kioda had made sure of that. Other's were not so fortunate and these had to be checked on. Especially the Ysali, he had a pretty stance. Maybe if he broke away and reclaimed his power. Kioda shook her head. No she shouldn't be thinking that. There were plenty of Ysali at home she could mate with. Maybe she would wait until it spoke before pressing for more information.

Junjie did his best to hold the spell as he watched Erionda scale the dragon like it was a tree, easily taking it down with her sword. He couldn't help but to stare at her in awe, an awe that only increased when her wings appeared and she used them to bring herself safely to the ground, "Well now, doesn't she have beautiful wings." He mused, not sure he'd ever seen them before in the many times that they'd met in the past. It went to show that there was still much he didn't know even about those he held closest to his heart. There was always much to learn he thought to himself before he started forward toward his friend, "I am glad to see you too. Not sure what the next step would have been after entangling him so I am very happy that you were here to finish that one off." He told her, then said, "I am searching for our missing friend, Tila. Any chance that you have... seen... eh?"
Turning to look over at the Drakein that he'd helped to save he found himself starring as she was suddenly throwing a bunch of questions at Abellio and Arjan, both of them seeming to be as startled as he was by the flow of questions. She didn't seem all that pleased with the two of them being bonded to himself but at least she didn't seem out right hostile about it, that wa sa plus. Giving a smile he said, "I can assure you that they are well taken care of." He had raised them since little eggs after all, raising them as one might a child... which would explain why they were so spoiled.
Abellio gave a smile too, tail swishing, "Yes, this is my Junjie." The feathered one answered the other Drakein happily, pleased to get to claim Junjie as his, "Eh? Oh yes, though I am trying to learn to help with the hunting since I am big now. Oh! Yes, I can fly too! Arjan can't yet though, he's still a bit small." He said, glancing over at him, grinning a bit at the smaller Kiandri.
Arjan opened his mouth, about to snap at Abellio that he could fly if he wanted to... that was until the female said something about breaking the bond as well as asking if he would defend them. Who was this woman? How dare she ask such things!? As if they would break their bond and abandon Junjie! He gave a rumbling growl before he stepped closer to Junjie, looking up at him, displeasure showing in his eyes. The Hybrid reached out to scratch him under the chin to sooth him, not wanting him picking a fight with a big female who was obviously feral. It would be too dangerous after all.
Looking between everyone Abellio decided to speak up again, "We would never abandon Junjie or break our bond, he raised us, takes care of us, even lets us have cookies! When I was tiny he let me hide under his cloak when he fought dragons." He explained, wanting to sooth everyone, especially Arjan, before they started to argue or something.

Erionda gave a half smile at the mention of Tilawen. She hadn't seen the hybrid in a long time. Not since the ceremony at least. A heaviness fell on her heart. Was she alright? Erionda had wanted to offer up her home to the woman. She knew what it was like to live without one, even if it wasn't for long periods at a time it had happened many times. She hated the feeling of not having a place to call home.
Watching Kioda carefully Erionda folded her hands across her chest. Her wings disappearing back to the tattoo on her back. She felt uncomfortable and exposed when they were out. Like a dirty secret she shouldn't be sharing with the world. Only Kilian had seen them to date and now she had exposed them to Junjie. She wasn't worried that the hybrid would do anything, or at least say anything. But she did worry he would think ill of her now that he had seen them. Letting go of a deep breath as she relaxed Erionda's eyes continued to follow the circling Kioda. She knew the Drakein wouldn't do anything to harm anyone but she did have a lack of knowledge for bounderies.
"I assure you Kioda, he takes as much care of his as I do mine." Turning to Junjie as Abelio started talking she shook her head slowly. Her face turning grimm before she spoke. "I haven't seen Tilawen in a while. I was hoping I could find her, talk to her, and give her my home here on Eowyn. She deserves a place to stay if nothing else. I know what it's like being a hybrid. Maybe she's been kicked out, you know, since she mentioned once she was staying with you." Erionda dug her toe nervously into the sand. She had no problems giving up the home, but what if Junjie needed it. Maybe he and Tilawen were a thing?
Looking down at her feet Erionda continued. "If you see her before I do, will you tell her I'm looking for her? That I have something I want to give her."

Kioda huffed at the reaction she had received. Maybe Grrel was right, maybe these were brainwashed bonded. She listened with little interest fluffing her wings as Erionda spoke. Snorting in the younger Keinova's direction Kioda turned on her tail. Her muzzle pointing back towards home. Perhaps if Erionda was sure of how well they were taken care of, then she would put of investigating them for now. But she would find them again and she would check up on them from time to time. And if this Dovaa ever mistreated any of them, he would not only have her to answer to. But she would find Grrel and ask for the Kiandri's assistance in helping free the bonded kin.
Opening her wings Kioda took to the sky. She had no interest in continuing any prolonged conversation with the two leggers. They had killed the Dragon she had thanked who it mattered and now she wanted to return home to Serenia. Forget the nonsense on the sands and the war grounds. Sniffing Kioda's eyes hovered over the sand. There was another Drakein she had met here not long ago. Eyphah, was that his name. Interesting Drakein. She wondered what he was up to these days.
Flapping her wings Kioda left.

Junjie watched the Drakein as she headed out after the questioning seemed to come to an end before he turned his attention back to Rio, listening to what she was saying. He gave a soft sigh before he said, "She was staying with us for a little while but she left. She came back to visit for a time but it wasn't when I was home, it seemed she just stopped by to chat with my mother. After that I haven't heard word from her or found any clues as to where she might have gone." He said, looking for a moment thoughtful. So she hadn't gone to see Rio then? Where might she have gone then? He was starting to run out of ideas but he meant to keep searching for her.
Giving Rio a smile he said, "Of course! If I see her I will let her know that you are looking for her. If you see her first let her know that I am searching for her." He really would like to figure out where Tila was, try to catch up with her, see what it was that she was up to and if she was alright. The fact that he'd missed her the one time she visited his place was driving him buggy... and being unable to find her despite all the searching was making it worse, "Let's hope that one of us is lucky enough to catch her." Surely one of them would find her, right? He sure hoped so at least.

Erionda nodded slowly. "I'll do my best Junjie. I just hope she hasn't stumbled into trouble with any of the pure bloods. I know the medal we have should grant us some leeway but..." Erionda trailed of with sadness. "Even after such a feat has been accomplished. Very little has swayed a lot of the hearts of Magesc. There are still so many hunting for hybrids like us. Some even think we are behind the events that were discovered that day."
Trembling, a shadow grew over Erionda's face. She didn't like talking about Alpha or Beta. Even if her nightmare's were less frequent with time. And only when she wasn't standing by Kilians side did they seem to surface. Her arms tightened around her body as she glanced towards her Eowyn home. Moving to Aisko wouldn't be soon enough for her. "I'm going to be abandoning the house here soon. With Beta still on the loose, I don't feel quite safe here. What if that patchwork creation... blames me... or comes for me?" Biting her lip the hybrid tensed. "Kilian and I are going to be moving to Aisko soon. My fathers house is nearly finished construction. I think we will be safe there."
Shifting her weight nervously from one foot to the next Erionda looked at Junjie with a half smile. "Don't worry, with the land so cold few live there. And with mountains protecting us between the vortex and Eowyn. I doubt many will come looking for us unless they are battle hardened. And even then it's a slim chance. No one's going to risk their life to hunt me, when they have to travel over such a cold world and climb mountians to get to me. That's why I want to offer Tilawen my home here."
Erionda's arms dropped to her sides. There were other reasons she wanted to move away from Eowyn. The heat and lack of water being one of them. Running her fingers through her long hair Erionda gave a small wave. "I'll keep an eye out for her wherever I am. And I'll send Uassae with a message if anything happens." Nodding her head she bid her friend a farewell. With the memories of Alpha and Beta once again on her mind, all she wanted to do was cling to Kilian for protection. She missed him.

Junjie gave a slow nod of agreement. He didn't much care for the medals they'd been given, saw them as little more then a farce, but he would keep the thought to himself. Rio didn't seem to really buy into the idea that the medals were some sort of end all that would save them from everything after all. He didn't either, he doubted that it would really ever do much more then take up space in his pack. Giving her a smile he said, "Best that we just come continue to be careful and look out for one another, we are really the only ones we can trust implicitely after all." Their kind, unloved and hunted by the world, really needed to band together if you asked him. Having strength in numbers was much better then being alone, something he wished Tila believed in.
"If I head to Aisko I will be sure to look for you." He said, while it sounded a bit on the complicated side to find where she lived from the sounds of it he would still keep an eye out for her just in case. If he was in Aisko he might as well, though he didn't think he would be going there any time soon unless his search for Tilawen brought him there. Giving his friend a smile he said, "Thank you, Rio." That she would help to keep an eye out for Tila as well and was even planning to give the other Hybrid her place in Eowyn was a good thing, it meant that he wasn't alone any longer in the search for her. He merely hoped that one of them found her sooner then later, surely she must be around somewhere and as such he would find her.
Junjie watched as Rio continued on her way, watching her for a time before turning back to Abellio and Arjan, the former of which who was playing with the Diabi orb, before he gave a chuckle, "That is a rather interesting looking orb, isn't it? Never seen one of those sorts of dragons before. Best that we are careful, we don't want to run into one of those alone after all." He warned the pair of Drakein before they were soon heading out on their way. They'd stop by the oasis to refill their water skins before continuing on. No time for rest yet even if he really would like a nap. There was just too much to do to be bothered with such a thing quite yet. The two drakein exchanged a look before quickly trotting along after Junjie.
