Gaili dragons were starting to become easier to see. Or so Erionda thought as she wandered through the Malro desert. Yesterday had been exiting with the death of a dragon. She hadn't even thought dragons were capable of blending into their surroundings so well. She couldn't blame it for the skill, Ysali blended in the forests. Peisio were so good at hiding the water. Why wouldn't a Gaili be able to hide in the rocky cliffs and sand. Feeling dry from the lack of water around her Erionda settled down to survey the landscape. It was like the opposite of Aisko and yet very similar in it's own way.
Night was the easiest time for hunting. Erionda had to learn that the hard way over the years. She didn't work up as much of a sweat or overheat as quickly in the heat of the night compared to the chocking atmosphere of the sunlight soaked sand. Her body was filled with rejuvenated energy in the very early morning air. Her hair still slightly damp from her early morning swim in the oasis near her house. Even in the night air, her hair didn't stay wet for long.
Flicking a clump of hair over her shoulder Erionda watched the ground for any sight of Dragons. Tracks were nearly impossible to find. And if she managed to find them, they disappeared in the sand gusting about. Her skills were not that proficient yet. No matter how hard she trained it was still painfully difficult for her to figure out. Perhaps she was just missing a piece of training that would help solve the last steps in discovering what it was.
Rolling her slender shoulders Erionda kicked at a rock that didn't move. Leaping back automatically Erionda waited swinging her sword out in front of her. Sure enough, just as the hybrid had anticipated a Gaili began to rise from the rocks and sand. Unlike last time Erionda had been prepared for the dragon. Shifting her wrist towards the sky Erionda took another swing. Her wrist moving swiftly, her arms pulling the sword skyward before she swung downward. Cutting a second time into the flesh of the dragon.
The Gaili swung out at her with a loud roar. It's claws attempting to rake her to shreds. Twisting her abdomen, Erionda's shield created a barrier between herself and the dragons claws. Her feet slipping in the sand. She hated Eowyn with her whole being. There was so much death here. So much carnage. Even blasted creatures hunting the grounds in search of bodies to pillage. Not that she wasn't one of them. She searched the dead for signs of life. Every once in a while putting someone out of their misery.
Erionda's feet scuffed in the sand as she corrected her grip for another attack. Swinging twice before plunging forward into the lack of defense. The dragons body crumbled into fragmented dust around her. Heaving a sigh Erionda picked up another orb.
