BRIEF HISTORY He was born into the pureblood Vance line, and no one in his family had ever strayed from the blood that was the cleanest, so when he married Amy his parents disowned him. His years at Hogwarts was easy although his family was disappointed that they had a Hufflepuff in their family, usually calling him 'weak', although it never brought him down. He was always a very happy child, and was very excited when he was finally able to leave his home. Basically, without getting into many details, he wasn't a very happy child and never really had a lot of good memories in his childhood, unless, of course, they were in Hogwarts.

BRIEF HISTORY Amy was raised in a very loving household and lived much like they do now. Amy's parents were two very normal Muggles, and no one really knows where down the line there were wizards in their family. She has 2 sisters, although isn't very close to them considering she's the only person in the family to become a wizard. She was often made fun of in school, and usually the word 'Mudblood' was called across the room when walking near the Slytherins, but sometimes she thought that they just called her that simply because she was a Gryffindor, not just because she was Muggleborn. She was never really bothered by those who called her names or made fun of her.
When Amy was in Hogwarts, she was a Quidditch star. She had been the Seeker for Gryffindor for a while, into her final year at Hogwarts. She was the one of the smallest people in school when she started playing, and didn't really grow much. Sure, she was about 5'6" now, average height for a female, but she didn't really have a growth spurt, as it took her until her last year to finally have grown to 5'6". Now, because of many injuries, she no longer enjoys playing Quidditch but would be very excited if any of her children were to take after her.

Lexine has been highly intelligent since she was little. She has always acted very mature for her age, and has paid close attention to what’s going on around her. Lexine tries her best to be both street and book-smart, rather than simply smart one way around. She doesn’t want to be ignorant to the world around her, especially because she doesn’t want to be surprised when she gets out into the ‘real world’.

Ever since she was little Lexine has always been very, very scatter-brained. She doesn’t like this about her, as she’ll typically only remember small details about a big picture. Often times Lexine has to write things down to remember them, and sometimes she doesn’t even remember where she put the notes… There’s a reason why Lexine has to write out all of her notes, mark pages in her books, etc…

Despite the fact that she doesn’t particularly like talking to people, Lexine tries to be nice to most people, especially if they’re her senior. Of course, she’s generally a very kind person, helping whenever someone’s needing it, even if she does seem a little cold and aloof at first.

Lexine has always been an introvert, it’s the reason why she has so few friends in the first place. She doesn’t particularly like talking to people, and she definitely doesn’t like hanging around in large groups, especially not alone. She’d much rather keep to herself then allow people to get to know her well; she’s very particular about the people she lets in.

Lexine learned how to walk, talk, read, etc faster than any of her siblings had. She’s always been very quick to pick up on things, and has never had a tough time learning typically difficult subjects to learn. She also tends to pick up on particular likes and dislikes of the people around, and tries her best to avoid angering people this way.

Ever since her incident at the Hogsmeade Station Lexine has been extremely self-conscious. She always has been, but it has since gotten worse because of the burn marks that now trail up her neck. She really tries not to worry too much, but because it made such an obvious scar on her, it’s gotten worse. It’s why she prefers winter anymore; she can cover up her scars easily.

Lexine was born a simple child, nothing was wrong with her other than the fact she came a few days earlier than thought. She was healthy, beautiful, and it was as if she glowed. Maybe it was because she was their first child, but Lexine had always made them smile, and it seemed that each room became brighter when she smiled. However, she wasn't an easy baby. Lexine was moody even as a baby, she would often cry at the slightest thing, and get angry very quickly. Of course, it also happened that she was very easily pleased as a child...
Lexine learned quickly how to walk and talk, and was given a lot of stimulating toys as a baby. She learned and mastered them very quickly. Up until about five years old, Lexine was a bit of a difficult child... However, when she turned five it seemed like she became a much easier child, as it was when she began her years of being quiet. It was also when her little sister, Sybil, was born. Lexine didn't really like the presence of another child in the house, but didn't do anything about it, she learned to love her sister, which made everything easier for her parents. She soon fell into the 'big sister' role, and sometimes even treated Sybil as her own child. Lexine and Sybil got along as children, and they loved one another.
While in school Lexine learned very quickly, so her schooling seemed to go by very quickly. She was much more interested in the subjects than her sister ever was, and often did school work for fun.
When she turned eight, another child was brought into the house. Lexine was put off a bit by her little brother, as he was the first boy of the family other than her father. Of course she easily slipped into that 'big sister' role once again, and loved her little brother.
Three years later, Lexine got her acceptance letter to Hogwarts. She was surprised, as she hadn't actually known much about Hogwarts beforehand. Of course she did know she'd be going, but was very surprised by the fact that everything seemed so old-fashioned. The letter was stamped with a wax seal, and everything seemed to be hand-written...of course it was magic, so they probably just had quills that wrote the letters... Either way, she was surprised nonetheless.
When she went to the school for her first year, Lexine quickly made two friends, Alice and Jasper - sister and brother - whom she met on the boats to the sorting ceremony. When she made it there, Lexine was quickly sorted into Ravenclaw; the house known for it's wisdom... She was rather surprised, as Lexine hadn't believed she was ever very smart, and was surprised when she was sorted into Ravenclaw, however she has lived up to it. After all, Lexine has excelled in all her classes (although has difficulty in those using a wand, as her wand doesn't quite like her much), and has easily passed all subjects.
Throughout her second year in Hogwarts Lexine's life didn't change much, she did pretty much all the same things, however she did end up getting just a little closer to Iñigo. She also tried out for the Quidditch team and made it on as Ravenclaw's first reserve Seeker. Nearing the end of the year Lexine even got to play once because their Seeker hadn't shown up. She played hard, but never caught the snitch...
When her third year of studying at Hogwarts came along, Lexine was bombarded with extra classes. She once again made it on Ravenclaw's Quidditch team as first reserve. She spent most of her time studying, but was able to take the time to spend with her friends, Alice, Jasper and Iñigo. The four of them even went to Hogsmeade. This was also the year that Lexine began realising her feelings for Iñigo. However, this was also the year she started developing a slight anxiety and sleep issues.
Things for Lexine seemed to completely change in her fourth year. Sure, her anxiety had turned into insomnia and she'd barely slept all year, but that didn't mean it was all bad. Lexine knew that she felt something towards Iñigo, and it only became clearer when he asked her out in the gardens. From that point on, her year ended up going pretty well. Her anxiety and sleeping issues even ended up settling slightly (which meant she actually began sleeping again). To think that one person could do all that for you...not that he knows about it, and it wasn't like she was planning on telling him. Not only that, but Lexine made the Quidditch team as Ravenclaw's Seeker which made her extremely happy. She even won a game for them against Hufflepuff...of course, they lost the cup, but at least Lexine knew she wasn't absolutely terrible at Quidditch.
In her fifth year, Lexine and Iñigo were still together, and their feelings for one another, whether they're really love or not, never faltered. They got through their one-year anniversary, Iñigo giving her a beautiful ring with her birthstone, and really, Lexine doesn't believe she'll be leaving Iñigo any time soon. She had a pretty poor Quidditch season, only winning their last game, but she had her mind so stuck on OWLs that she really couldn't help but lose focus. Speaking of OWLs, Lexine ended up doing very well on hers, as her lowest grade was an 'A' in Astronomy, but really, she doesn't mind. Lexine never quite liked Astronomy...the class was far too late for Lexine's tastes. Throughout this year, though, Lexine's anxiety seemed to worsen, and therefore so did her insomnia. She spent most of her nights awake either reading or studying in the common room -- occasionally she fell asleep there and didn't wake until someone shook her up in the morning; sometimes it was Iñigo, other times it was some of the girls that she shared her room with. Either way, it was an...interesting year... Kind of boring altogether, but interesting nonetheless.
Nothing significant really happened during Lexine's sixth year at Hogwarts, it was pretty much a rather uneventful year. Until the very end. At the very end of the year there was an attack by Neo-Death Eaters at Hogsmeade Station as the students were leaving and, for reasons even Lexine wasn't completely sure of, she stayed. At some point while Lexine and Iñigo had gotten together and were fighting side-by-side, helping out the people left there. Lexine was shot down by a spell -- what exactly it was, Lexine still isn't completely sure, she wasn't entirely coherent during that time. It burned the flesh up her neck and over her shoulder, scarring over. For some reason the burn wouldn't heal despite everything the people at St. Mungo's did...
Lexine's final year at Hogwarts wasn't too eventful. Most of the time she was hiding herself in the crowd, and other times she was studying for her N.E.W.Ts. However, the year wasn't too stressful, and Lexine was happy with her time spent at Hogwarts. She was absolutely terrified to leave, but now that she's left it's almost like a weight has been lifted off her shoulders. It's extremely relieving. Now, she and Iñgio are moving in together, away from their parents, and are just waiting to see how their lives together will turn out.

Sybil finds most people draining, so she tends not to partake in large social events or big group discussions. She won't typically spend an extensive amount of time around people who drain her, whether it's a group or just one person, and when she finds people that aren't mentally draining, she treasures them. She spends a lot of time doing a large amount of introspection, and is more likely to get lost in her own mind then pay attention to the world around her.

Sybil has a good gut that tells her when something's a-okay, and when something seems wrong. She prefers relying on her instincts, although typically they're backed up by sound logic, so it's not like she's making a rash decision. This also makes her very empathetic towards others, as she usually has a very sound understanding of the emotions of people around her and herself (although more on the former than the latter).

While Sybil's interest change periodically, she's always been rather artistically inclined. She's been writing and drawing since she was little, painting with a careful precision and stringing words together very eloquently. Almost all of her notes from classes have some sort of drawing in the margins.

It seems that brains run in the Vance family, as Sybil is just as bright as her sister, if not brighter. Because of her natural intelligence, Sybil tends to act rather mature for her age, and is more inclined to make educated decisions rather than acting on impulse (or, at least, her decisions always have logical reason behind them, even if they're based on intuition). While this can often make it difficult for her to deal with her peers, she's not willing to dumb herself down.

Sybil prefers observing to taking part in social gatherings, analyzing everything around her and picking out her actions very carefully, weighing the pros and cons when it really matters. She's typically impartial when making decisions, almost always thinking objectively – she'd always be someone to go to for advice when you need someone who won't lean one way or another. However, her detachment can make her appear cold and aloof to those who don't know her well, an appearance that she doesn't really appreciate.

Sybil gets restless very easily, her hobbies and interests changing so often that it's tough to really tell what she really likes. While there are few hobbies that stick around, they're very few. She has various things at home from attempted hobbies, but she's since given up on pursuing them.

Maybe considered 'laziness' or 'impatience', Sybil can lose her enthusiasm when she's working on something particularly difficult or boring to her, and she tends to work slower and pay less attention to the work she's doing. Amy’s pregnancy with Sybil had been just as easy as Lexine’s had been, which made for both a happy mother and a happy baby. She wasn’t a troublesome infant and she barely caused any issues, crying very little and making her parent’s life very easy, thankfully; Lexine had never been an easy baby. It was a peaceful, blissful time, after all they now had two beautiful baby girls, and Lexine wasn’t near as much of an issue as she had been as a baby.
As Sybil grew, she didn’t change much – she was still very quiet, rarely speaking a word some days, observing what was going on in the world around her. She spent most of her time strolling through her mother’s gardens, learning all she could about the different flowers that grew throughout their gardens and greenhouses. Sybil soon learned how to tend to not only the vegetables and flowers, but also the wizarding plants that grew in one of the more hidden away greenhouses. It was how she grew close to her family members, as they were all open to helping out in the gardens, it was like family bonding most of the time. Of course, gardening wasn’t the only thing Sybil ever did, but she also enjoyed picking on her sister whenever the opportunity arose. It was all in fun and games, really, what were siblings for? Maybe Lexine didn’t enjoy it much, but that never stopped Sybil.
When Lexine went off to Hogwarts, Sybil didn’t have much else to do but sit around and watch after Evan, but she never had too much fun. Being that he was little, he’d usually just giggle when she would start torturing him, which just made Sybil bored; she was fishing for a reaction, not a laugh. So, it got boring from there on out. Sybil resorted to just running out to the gardens, preferring to spend time hanging out around the flowers. The only times she was ever really social was when Lexine would come home from school; she quickly lost interest in trying to torture her sister and instead was interested in the things Lexine was learning from Hogwarts. She would sometimes even take her sister’s old books and read through them just to get an idea of what she was going to be doing.
When Sybil got her letter to Hogwarts she was more than pleased; she was finally going to be able to actually interact with people, which was great, and she was finally going to be able to learn about the things she’d been reading in her sister’s textbooks. It was exciting, to say the least, but Sybil didn’t show that excitement, only feeling butterflies in her stomach as she ran her fingers along her leather-bound textbooks and held her wand in hand.

As a key Vance family trait, it's not surprising that he's just as intelligent as both his sisters. He's a jack-of-all-trades, almost always knowing a little bit about everything. He's very good at recall, which tends to be the basis of his intelligence, and sometimes people consider him to have a photographic memory. He doesn't of course, it's impossible, but he's best at recall.
adventurous.
Evan is definitely the most adventurous of the Vance children, always one to try some strange foods or go on some weird carnival ride, and probably regret the stomach ache he gets later. He's also very outdoorsy, and has always been the one to walk around the woods for hours at a time, fearless of what's to come. However, he does have a sense to stop when things start looking grim.

Evan has always been a very clear thinker, despite his tendency to be rather scatter-brained, he's always been able to think logically rather than going out on a whim, or simply because he can.

Evan tends to be very good at understanding and reading people, and always tries his best to put himself in others' shoes before making a decision, especially if it's a big one. Born a week earlier than he was scheduled to be, Evan had two holes in his heart and the doctors weren’t sure whether or not he would live. After a long period of time in an incubator, one of the holes closed itself and the other had to be operated on. Evan has to visit a muggle doctor every once in a while because of his heart, and hasn’t been able to do strenuous physical activity. It’s not like he really did much before either, but it was still a bit of a downer to be told at a young age that he, basically, wasn’t allowed to do sports. He isn’t even able to play Quidditch because of his heart issues.
Nothing else really significant has happened in Evan’s life, after all he is very young, however he once was far more lively than he is now – he’s since gone a bit into himself, as he hasn’t had his sisters around. Before it wasn’t too bad; Sybil was home most of the time after Lexine went off to Hogwarts, after all. However, now that both the girls are off at Hogwarts, Evan’s needed to find ways to entertain himself – not a very easy task at times. He likes to walk off and wander through the forest nowadays, not really having much else to do other than basic schooling… He can’t wait until he’s off to Hogwarts as well.
