So, I decided I wanted to make a mugshot of my Avi. It's very simple, a recolour with a haircut, and a slightly different shirt. I took all the colours from my Gaia Avi. Including the skin tone. Total time: 20 minutes. Myself:  Ryou Domavonie: Sasuke No Katon: Version 1: Version 2:

Due to the stupidity of my phone, any image posts in the guild don't show up. Could you pssibly just post the links for me? As long as they're not photobucket, I can see them. My phone times out when trying to see photobucket images.

Oh I know I don't HAVE to, but I'd LIKE to because I am nice (despite my canon chara not beong so LOL) and think you deserve to be rewarded for taking the time and effort to do so! I should be ready in a while, still finishing up some last minute accessories and stuff for it LOL xD

hello new friend don't ever leave ever ok ever. FEF needs more spriters.
You know how to recolor well and how to pick out good colors to do it. That's something a lot of spriters have issues with. If this were made to be an FE mug, I'd criticize that the colors don't fit the palette for the game well, but I can see this was obviously made to be a replica of your avi. Even the outlines were recolored to be like a gaia avi, which shows attention to detail.
Gaia hairstyles tend to be able to fit on FE mugs fairly well, so maybe think about literally outlining your avi's hairstyle pixel by pixel and then work at shading it the way FE does shading.
Criticism I can give is that it's definitely Marisa recolored with a hair cut. Like you said, very simple. You should try more adventurous things. Sprite your own eyes or splice a different pair on eyes in. Do you have much spriting experience?

While recoloring is very easy to do, effectively splicing/spriting custom clothes and haircuts is not as easy. So kudos on that.
I WOULD consider darkening the outline possibly, but it's impressive for such a short time if you did all that custom work in that time as well.

This one is for Ryou Domavonie. The cloak on it is completely custom, and the hair was taken from a villager. The eyes I stole from Raven haha. It's not bad, I kinda rushed it though. I hope you guys like it, and what else can I do to improve it? 3nodding
