"This match is a Barbed Wire Massacre! The ring ropes have been replaced with barbed wire, and there are no disqualifications. The first man to pin or submit his opponent will be declared the winner!"
It was almost inhumane to hear how loud and joyous the audience's response was to the announcement. Just looking at the ring structure had promise bloodshed, and as Drako made apparent earlier, there was no guarantee either of these two veterans would be able to wrestle again depending on the outcome of this match. In one corner would stand a man who made his legacy in an extremely hardcore wrestling federation. In the other corner stood a man who was certainly no stranger to street fights, but had been fighting for the pride of a fallen brother, hatred boiling his usually cold-blooded veins. Was Cartwright ready for a fight? The audience certainly hoped so, because AJ Warner had never felt more prepared and more anxious to compete in a match than the monstrosity awaiting him. The whistling of his entrance theme sparked a diverse response amongst a live crowd engulfed in darkness. Yet despite the absence of light from the arena, they were about to enter the darkest side of professional wrestling once the bell rang.
"Moving in Stereo" -- The Cars
Life's the same, I'm moving in stereo Life's the same, except for my shoes Life's the same, you're shaking like tremolo Life's the same, it's all inside of you
A blue spotlight flashed on, hitting the top of the ramp as soon as the guitar began to be played. The light's rays had revealed none other than the Suplex Shooter standing at the top of the ramp with his fists squeezed tight and his eyes only focused on the ring. Thousands of thoughts traveled in his head at millions of miles per hour. Warner had never been in a match type quite like this, but he had so many ideas of what he wanted to do to Cartwright that the ring's surrounding felt almost comfortable and relieving to AJ. Blood, tears, and revenge was practically a guarantee. AJ began his slow-paced walk down the ramp, not even giving as much as a glance to the fans. This wasn't about them in the slightest bit, but even Warner could notice that a few more fans had been on his side lately. Everyone likes a tale of vengeance, I suppose.
"Introducing first, fighting out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada! Weighing in at two hundred thirty-one pounds, he is the Suplex Shooter... A-JAAAAAYYYY WARRRRRNERRR!"
Its so easy to blow up your problems Its so easy to play up your breakdown Its so easy to fly through a window Its so easy to fool with the sound
His eyes were glued to the razor sharp ropes that surrounded the ring. AJ would be a goddamned liar to say he wasn't slightly intimidated by the structure. But as long as he was the better man and the toughest fighter out there (which he usually was), this should be the most violent walk in the park Warner had ever taken. The conventional and typical route he took to get into the ring was a bit inconvenient for this match type, thus AJ rolled under the bottom rope into the ring. He kissed his hand and pointed up to the heavens in a quick motion. As much as this seemed like it was for the artist formerly known as the Bad Chyld, it was for the man that helped him turn into the wrestler and personality he was today, his late brother Phil. Nobody would get away with disrespecting him. Nobody.

The arena lights turn red as AJ Warner pointed upwards towards the ceiling, ensuring a mixed reaction from the fans who know exactly who would do such a thing. Warners opponent for the night. The sound of heavy rain is heard from the arena speakers. It is of course the cue for Slayers' Raining Blood to begin blasting and as it does, so does the man who has antagonised and been antagonised equally as much by Warner, Cartwright. Despite the music playing and the intense situation that he is in, Cartwright looks calm and cool. Why shouldn't he be? Everything is going his way. He's got everything he's wanted since he first stepped-foot into a DHW ring. He wanted a bloody and brutal match with AJ, he gets it tonight in the form of Barbed Wire Massacre. Clearly Cartwright has had a plan from the beginning.
Announcer: "And introducing his opponent, from the United Kingdom, weighing in at two hundred pounds, he is making his in-ring debut for Dragon Honour Wrestling......he is the one, the only, the man you love to love.....CAAAAAAAAAAARTWRIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!"
Cartwright begins to slowly walk towards the ring with a Singapore Cane in his hand. He is wearing thick jeans and a bulletproof police-style vest. Looks like Cartwright is going into this match prepared, maybe even with an unfair advantage. As he approaches the ring, he gets a close-up view of the barbed wire ropes. He smiles as he finishes inspecting the bottom rope and slides under it. Cartwright has never participated in a barbed wire massacre match before, but given his past experience in many other hardcore style matches, he's pretty confident in his ability to get to grips with it and do to AJ Warner exactly what he intends to do.
AJ sees tonight as a chance to get revenge on Cartwright for the things that he has said and done to him, but Cartwright sees tonight as a chance to silence the moaning, whining, self-entitled Warner once and for all by ripping his entire body to shreds against as much barbed wire as he possibly can.

The buzz of the live crowd was that of a major boxing fight. Excitement was heard amongst the audience, and the volume of their interest grew twice in size once the bell rang. AJ would more than likely be an emotional fighter in this case, but the barbed wire called for intelligence over emotion; so instead, Warner took a few steps towards Cartwright and gave him two middle fingers to the face.

The crowds volume continues to rise as a loud "oooo" is heard as AJ gives Cartwright a very friendly piece of sign language. Cartwright chuckles as this proves that he is in Warners head, that he is already ahead of the game before the match has even begun. Cartwright looks at the hand gesture and casually looks at his Singapore cane. He twirls it around innocently enough....and then takes a quick swing at AJ with it!

The consequences were well worth giving Cartwright the message AJ was trying to tell him for weeks. The singapore cane violently bounced off the improved bicep the Suplex Shooter and he moved to the side holding his arm, making sure not to fall into these ropes for leverage anytime soon.

AJ is wisely trying to avoid contact with the barbed wire ropes, but of course Cartwright isn't going to let his hated rival have a easy time of doing that! He aims a second shot with the cane towards AJ's left ribs to try and push him into the ropes!

He was too conscience of the razors near him and not worried enough about Cartwright's singapore cane. What would your priorities be in this scenario? AJ dropped to his knees holding his ribcage and wincing in pain from the wooden swing.

So AJ refuses to budge eh?! FINE! Cartwright will just have to do it himself with his hands! Cartwright drops the cane and approaches Warner to grab his head while he is down on his knees. He tries to turn Warner around to face the ropes and then push his face into the middle rope by the back of his head!

That was the signal. This was a moment AJ had been waiting for and pain or no pain, pure emotion filled his adrenalin to the brink. As soon as Cart made the mistake of dropping his singapore cane, Warner went to get one of his knees off the ground for momentum and launch himself into Cartwright's thighs and pick him up into the air for a moment before coming back down into the ground. If successful, AJ would look to throw a barrage of fists towards his rival's face. And if Warner was lucky enough for this plan to work, a "F*CK YOU" would be heard with every punch connected.

Ah crap! AJ suddenly strikes as if he this situation planned in advance! Cartwright is taken to the mat as Warner charges into him and slams him down. He tries to cover-up as Warner lands punch after punch, much to the fans enjoyment. A punch lands across Cartwrights left eye which hurts like hell and begins to swell instantly.

AJ got up quickly, with a hand on his ribs as if it was supposed to heal, and grabbed the singapore cane with his free hand. He then clutched it with both hands, twirling it around next to Cartwright in pure anger and bloodthirst. But unfortunately, the singapore cane did no damage to a bulletproof vest. AJ came to this realization and tried to undo the vest hastily to make this a fair fight.

Cartwright covers his left eye as he absorbs the pain on his hands and knees, which AJ takes advantage of by attempting to return the favour to Cartwright with the cane across his back. AJ begins to tug away at the vest so that he can lay the hurt on Cartwright. Cartwright would rather like to keep his unfair advantage, so with his right hand he strikes upwards with two fingers towards AJ's eyes for a blatant cheap shot.

Though it didn't look as violent as a punch, fingers to the eyes ******** hurt. A lot. The element of surprise also got a hold of AJ as he fell to his a** after holding the pain he received from Cartwright's fingers being forced up his... eye sockets.

The crowd didn't seem to like Cartwright's tactic, but Cartwright wasn't here to please the fans, he was here to inflict pain on to AJ Warner by any means necessary. Cartwright grins as he sees Warner struggling with his eyes, how about a nice little irish whip into the barbed wire ropes while he can't see what's coming? Simple, but very effective in this match.
