After having initially crawled into bed after a brief reunion with her friend and neighbor, Peyton quickly realized that, despite being absolutely exhausted, sleep wasn't going to be easy to come by. Sights and sounds from her time in the woods kept coming back to her, running circles through her mind, and on the rare occasion she did manage to doze off the sound of shuffling feet and groaning pervaded her dreams. After a few restless hours she eventually gave up, and after dressing again, left her room to search for something to take her mind off things.

She'd trained, which had helped a little, but the harder she worked the more fatigued she felt, and eventually she had to give it up. A trip tot eh beach to see if anything useful had washed up proved a waste of time. Even eating had felt like a chore.

By the time she wandered back to the dorms it was later, darkness had bathed the halls in shadows. Briefly she considered heading back to her own room, trying, and quite possibly failing, to get some much needed sleep. Instead she turned in the opposite direction and walked along room numbers that climbed higher and higher. When she got to the end she stopped in front of a familiar door and paused. There was a moment of internal chastising for having not sent Solomon a text upon her return, but considering the frazzled state of her mind, she hoped he wouldn't hold it against her.

Lifting a hand she gave his door a few quick raps, then waited.

He'd been laying on his way-too-high-off-the-floor bed on his stomach, one foot dangling off of it as his body slowly slid down the side of it, threatening to fall off only for him to roll over in his sleep and hand the other leg over the side of it.

His torso had slowly begun to slide off of the bed when a rapping on his door had caused him to suddenly jerk awake and a loud THUMP could be heard as he went down, on all fours, to the floor. For a moment he laid there, groaning as his knee screamed at him in agony, not even wanting to move until he'd dragged himself to painkillers and popped one of them - which was satisfying enough.

But he was still left with a distinct limp on his way to the door, opening it and rubbing one eye tiredly as he leaned against it and his arm, the other hand moving to rest against the door frame once it was done with the rubbing. He didn't seem to become much more awake upon seeing who it was, though he did manage to go from night of the living dead to night of the living dead with a smile that would probably crack a mirror from how back it was.

But he meant it with adoration, really.

"What time is it?" he asked, half groaning into his arm tiredly.

There was a thump as something heavy hit the floor, and Peyton winced, imagining any number of possible scenarios that could have resulted in the sound, and then growing rather concerned when a groan sounded from the occupant within. "Sol?"

The door opened a moment later, and Peyton was rewarded with a rather sleepy looking Solomon. Recognizing now that she must have woken him up, she waited the few seconds it took for him to realize who it was, and the smile that followed was answered with a mirroring one.

"Honestly I'm not sure," she admitted in answer to his question on the time, and she moved to fish her phone out of her pocket so she could check. The numbers that flashed at her when she turned the screen on were a surprise. "Wow, it's after eleven. s**t. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you up." Where the hell had the day gone? It had felt like time was moving in slow motion, and now all of a sudden it was eleven o'clock.

Drawing a breath, she let it out slowly as she tucked the phone away again. "It's been a long few days," she admitted wearily.

He squinted his eyes as the light from her phone flashed on, breathing in the same sort of fashion as someone who was flinching with pain. "The lighhttt, it burns usssss..." he hissed in the sort of joking tone he would have had even more awake, it just sounded as tired as he felt, to be honest. "Don't be, I mean yeah it sucks but I still have like eight hours to potentially sleep in. Maybe more." he offered, not mentioning he'd used hardly any of those anyways and instead pushing the door open with the arm resting against it and moving the head-leaning to the hand resting against the door frame.

It was his way of inviting her in, since she seemed to want to come in. "Surprised you came to see me instead of Sir Knight." Which was probably the only context under which Taym would be called such a thing - Solomon's way of showing his distaste for not letting Peyton even try to fight her own battle before he stepped in.

"Sounds like your mission was a bit of a mess, but can't say I have any words of wisdom besides asking if you poked them in the eyes." he started laughing before he was interrupted by a yawn in the middle of it.

"I guess we could watch a movie in bed or something, I mean assuming you want to stay here." Spending the night with a strange man who showed his face to like....4 people ever? Yeah, sounded safe.

The hissing made her giggle, and it chased away whatever awkwardness had crept in after the realization of how very late it was, and that she'd woken him up. Jokes were a good sign he wasn't upset by her sudden and most unexpected visit. Also the silent invitation to come inside. She took it, slipping past him into the dark room, then frowned at the comment before rolling her shoulders in a small shrug. "Our paths crossed earlier in the hall. He was on his way out as I was coming in." It was an iffy subject, so she didn't expand further then that.

Instead she made a small sound of amusement at the idea of poking zombies in the eyes. "Unfortunately, it wouldn't have done me any good if I had.' The smile slipped for just a moment, lips twitching. "The things we were fighting didn't really need their eyes." Pale eyes took on a vaguely vacant, haunted look before the dainty blinked and shook her head.

"A movie sounds good." It sounded really good, actually. Something to distract away from everything running around in her head. "I forgot you found a tablet on the beach, I'm still pretty jealous of that." So far she'd found nothing but the strange soap, and now she didn't even bother keeping it. What was the point? She already had a years supply.

He probably wouldn't have wanted to talk about it beyond that small exchange anyways. They were water and oil and the only thing that came out of the two of them meeting was that small adorable animals had to get cleaned up with dishwashing soap (So in this analogy the animal was Peyton).

Closing the door behind him, Solomon scratched his chest then moved to his under-the-bed desk to fish out the tablet, holding it up with both hands and doing a side-to-side wiggle like someone showing off their prize wedge on Wheel of Fortune. "Well that's unfortunate. If they don't need their eyes, stick something up their nose and I'm sure that'll put a stop to things. Or make them angry and then you'll have to drop it's own club on it's head." Yes he was talking about the Troll in the first Harry Potter book.

Climbing up onto his bed, he sat with his legs hanging over it, offering Peyton a hand up. "You'll probably want to take your shoes off, but I promise it'll be better to lay up here and watch than down here." He wasn't a creep, really!!

Peyton rolled her eyes as he showed off the tablet, and her lips pursed. Yep, she was definitely jealous, specially with having never found anything worth while herself. Hard to believe things like tablets washed up on their island, but then again, this was Deus, and impossible seeming things happened all the time. She was starting to understand how the more veteran among them could act so casually in the face of nightmares and horrors. Eventually you just started to get desensitized.

There was a second or two before Solomon's reference sank in, then the dainty hunter laughing. Curls sliding along her shoulders as she shook her head. "I'll remember that for next time." She didn't tell him that the things she'd been facing wouldn't have cared now many thing she stuck up their noses, or that they didn't have noses. She didn't want to think about it, so she let it go.

She toed her shoes off, then stepped over to take his hand so he could help pull her up. It was high, and looking over the edge it looked even higher. Falling off would hurt. After a few seconds thoughtful silence she slipped back away from the edge and closer to the wall. Settled, she turned her attention down to the tablet, though his shirtless state was mightily distracting and lavender eyes did wander.

He might have been distracting on purpose. However, once Peyton was up, Solomon made sure to switch her spots so she at least had to inside wall to keep her up on the bed. It wasn't like he hadn't fallen from up there a dozen times since putting it up there. It came with being restless all the time.

He then began to flip through the tablet to find that handy dandy little 'Netflix' thing. Internet on their island? A rarity he was sure, but that probably meant this tablet had been in life division (who liked to do things for themselves a lot more than they liked to do things for other people) before he'd found it.

They'd never get it back.

"Well. What sounds good to you?" Solomon asked, pushing hair from his face. If it had been up to him, they'd be watching the movie with the most explosions in it.

If he was being distracting on purpose then he was a most devious adversary, and would more then likely come out victorious. I'm just sayin. She kept stealing glances as he shifted about to make it next to impossible for her to fall from the impressive height of the bed, but once he'd settled the dainty Sun would slip in beside him so the line of her shoulder was touching his arm as he began fiddling with the tablet to pull up movies.

He asked her preference, and she looked up, watching as long fingers combed through all that dark hair and pushed it back, and she turned enough so she could take over for him, smoothing it back as he flicked through movie titles. "I'm down for anything," she admitted, then made a small sound before adding. "Except zombies or spiders.. Let's stay away from those for now." Seemed counter productive to watch a movie about what she was trying not to think about.

When she was satisfied that his hair would behave itself she moved so she could rest her head against his shoulder, one small hand coming to rest at the crook of his elbow. There was fluttering in her stomach, as there always was when she was this close to him, and her cheeks probably had a rosy glow, but she seemed relaxed as she rested against him, comfortable.

<Someone's getting over their shyness.>

Maybe a little. But don't be an a*****e.

He looked over her shoulder as she flipped through all of the movies, looking thoughtful as he flipped first through the Horror genre, even though everybody on the island was probably sick of that one by now.

"No spiders or zombies, guess that means no Evil Dead..." which was a shame, they were such good movies. Or Mimic, probably. Hmmmmm. He leaned back a bit as he flipped through the movies, leaving the Horror Genre completely, just to be safe, before he settled on the best movie ever, okay it just had the move explosions in it.

"Seen Avengers yet?" he asked as he selected the movie anyways. He'd seen it like a thousand times and he still wasn't tired of it, so watching it for the thousand-and-first time was just as exciting to him. There were giant alien monsters and explosions in it! Everybody liked giant alien-monsters and explosions!

Even if that was also the plot of Pacific Rim as well. HmmmMMmm.

Peyton watched as the movie covers flashed across the tablet screen. There were a lot of them she'd never heard of, but that wasn't terribly surprising. It seemed like they were always releasing some new horror flick somewhere, and most never seemed to make it to the big screen. She had heard of Evil Dead though, abd was relieved when it was vetoed with out her having to say anything.

"Avengers is great movie." She'd seen it a handful of times before coming to the island, and like him, it never seemed to lose it's entertainment value for her.

Her fingers slid along his arm, the tips of her nails running in light circles between the crook of his elbow and the solid band of the stone cuff at his wrist. Tanned skin was warm to the touch, under her cheek, and even before the movie was played she found a lot of the tension she'd been holding through out the day was beginning to fade. "Thanks for inviting me in." She'd needed the closeness, it made her feel safe, and Solomon himself was a wonderful distraction all inn his own, but the movie definitely didn't hurt.

His eyes flicked down towards her and her slightly wandering hand as he leaned back to relax, groaning slightly as he rubbed some more of the still lingering sleep out of his eyes and tried to not frown. He was a good host, dammit, and wasn't going to just conk out on poor Peyton.

"Well I couldn't invite you out, so there wasn't much else I could do." he joked, his voice a half-yawn as the beginning of the movie started to play. Ahhh yes, Mr. Jackson, god of playing angry men (though not in the movie 12 Angry Men).

The yawn pulled her attention up, and she watched as he rubbed at his eyes. Poor sleepy guy. He was being a good host. It wasn't his fault his guest hadn't shown up til after eleven. "Still," she persisted softly, smiling. He could have turned her away at the door and returned to sleep. That was probably what most people would have done.

Leaning back had brought him down to a more accessible level for the vertically challenged hunter. She turned, bringing her knees under her, and leaned in so she could lay a kiss Solomon's cheek. Something soft and lingering that was followed by a dopey little smile as she sank back on her heels. It dissolved into a downward flick of her eyes to the screen in his hands. Lower lip rolling between her teeth as she tucked a curl behind her ear and tried to act as if his half naked state was no big deal and she wasn't having difficulty in not staring. Or touching. Or doing quite a bit more then giving him a kiss on the cheek.

Well, Solomon clearly didn't put much value on sleep when he didn't get much of it anyways (and he'd still be up at the crack of dawn trying to mimic Caelius and get mysteriously into all the high places on Deus.)

"mmmtootired f'that..." Solomon grumbled into her shoulder after she kissed his cheek, which was more of a whine that he wasn't awake enough to give kisses too. Not that it was a highly important part of his day in any shape or form. He probably would have used that same reason to put a stop to doing anything else in his half-naked state. Touching was okay, ogling was expected, but that's about all he was up for.

When his head came down on her shoulder she chuckled, smoothing her hands along his scalp and through his hair before down and over his shoulders. "You're too tired for a kiss on the cheek for being a good host?" A soft hum of amusement followed, and brush of lips against his temple, simple and quick, as she rubbed at his back and shoulders. However far she was able to reach.

A little shifting moved her legs out from beneath her, and lay her palms against either of his cheeks, lifting his head up so she could urge him back how he'd been sitting so she could settle in beside him, slipping in under his arm. Small fingers went back to running up and down tanned skin from elbow to bracer. It was a mindless, unconscious form of fidgeting. Something for her hands to do to displace the nervous flip flopping in her stomach that came about whenever he was around.

She watched as Natasha owned around half a dozen grown men while still restrained to chair, and even having seen it before, it was impressive.
