Rolling. Need a total over 70
25 + 20 (familiarity) +10 (drakein) - 5 (Drakien) - 30 (capture bonus) = 20 Failed.
Erionda rubbed her shoulders as she moved. Work on her home was progressing painfully slow. And while she had succeeded in catching another Hastar in Soudul and raising her spirits again at the idea that she might be able to catch one from Aisko. Finding them was an entirely different issue. The snow falling all around her didn't help the situation at all. She had left both of the Soudul Hastar in a warm barn she had built back home. She wasn't sure if the beasts could handle the cold climate for as long as she could. She wasn't about to go and kill the only mounts she and Kilian had.
Returning to her favorite hunting spot was like luck. Sure enough an adult Hastar stood baying at the ground. Erionda wondered if it was the same Hastar she kept running into out here. It seemed nervous, Erionda's eyebrows narrowed together. Did it know she was there with her Drakein? Had she attacked so many times that it was natrually now more cautious of her approaching from the same direction. Was it able to smell her?
Lanzecki whimpered as he shivered. Looking towards Erionda for them to hurry. The hastar noticed them. Erionda almost growled at Lanzecki, but she couldn't blame him. It was cold and he was very young. She should know that they were on a time limit with the weather progressively getting worse. Her eyes grew wide as Erionda's eyes met with the dull ones of the adult hastar.
Erionda cursed as the Hastar squared it's shoulders towards her. Grumbling Erionda stumbled backwards. She didn't want to kill the Hastar, and she knew it was going to attack in order to drive her and her companions away. Lazecki yelped at the stumble. Turning tail he took off for home. Uassae stood firmly by Erionda's side as the Hastar drew closer.
The hybrids face grew grim as she was forced to kill the Hastar. She truly wanted to catch one of the sturdier breeds but was unable to get even close to success. Slipping her blade back into it's protective shell Erionda hung her head as she started for home.
