Erionda had returned to Eowyn. The heat once again stifling against her skin. She hated the heated sands of the continent she was now temporarily calling home. It wouldn't be long before she was able to move completely to Aisko. Her heart pounded with the excitement of her new home. It was turning out really well. Larger than she had anticipated and she even had dreams of creating a heated barn for some of the creatures in her life. Several stalls were in the plans as well as a small nursery above them were a makeshift nest was located. Inside that Erionda planned to house any stray Drakein eggs she found. Or rescued in the case of Lanzecki.
She had been moping about the past couple days while hunting on Aisko. Hastar were completely strange and practically impossible to catch. It pained her she wasn't able to catch another one. If she only managed to catch more than two maybe she could breed them? At least she would be giving one to her Mate. Kilian would need his own mount, not to mention the more of them she had the more she could carry from Eowyn to Aisko at a time.
Pausing in her wandering, Uassae pointed out a strange Hastar ahead of them. Erionda slowed her pace as her eyes fell upon the creature. Maybe today her luck would turn. Perhaps today she would be lucky and catch another hastar. This one didn't seem to be as old as her first one but it surely wasn't as young as the ones she was tempted to hunt on Aisko.
Nodding Erionda motioned to her Drakien to take to the air. They would have to be fast and on guard if they wanted to catch this one. Incase like its cousin on Aisko it too attacked them.

Erionda stared down the creature as it attempted to bolt from her. Blasted Hastar were terrible when it came to being caught. She hated being on Soudul. Hated every minute of it, she didn't want to be here. She hadn't even told anyone she had come. But she needed to know. Why were these so much easier to catch than their frozen cousins. Circling the Hastar that was now trapped within her reach Erionda flicked the rope around it's neck as quickly as she could. This one would not be getting away from her. She needed the Hastar! Erionda tightened her grip on the rope. If she managed to tame this one then perhaps she wasn't so pathetic at catching creatures after all.
The hybrid slowly approached the creature at the end of the rope. Making sure that as she moved the rope between them grew shorter. The rope behind her trailed long behind her. With her heart pounding wild within her chest. This was the moment of truth. She would know soon if the Hastar would accept her or not. Calming her mind. Erionda let her hand reach into the Hastar's soft fur. Pulling her hand away when it jerked from her touch. Pulling against the rope. She could see larger parts of it's white eyes.
Erionda waited silently. Before trying to place her hand on the side of it's neck. Letting it jerk and bay. She watched it's hooves in the ground. Slowly her hand moved towards the fur. Brushing it's neck softly. The longer she stayed like this the more Erionda's confidence in the creatures rose. She could do this. It was only a matter of time. And she had patience to catch this one.
Her hand continued to move through the fur of the Hastar. Her voice speaking in calm tones as she tried to create a one sided conversation with it. Waiting for it to calm and begin sniffing her. That was a good sign. She had broken through to the friendly Hastar below.

Erionda moved guiding the hastar through Eowyns sands. She had brought it back from Soudul, her heart filled with pride at her success. It wasn't yet trained but she had tamed it. Even if these Hastar were the easiest of the bunch to catch she was proud of her success. The Hastar easily followed her moves, didn't seem to be as frightened of the world but was clearly unsure of the sand it walked. It seemed to stumble often in the sand, leading Rio to wonder if this was a Hastar that was far to young to be caught.
Shifting off the hastar she was already riding Erionda paused. Perhaps she could see if it was able to be ridden! Giving the lead to her new capture to Lanzecki Erionda started pulling off the saddle she had created from the older Hastar. Hefting it onto the new one she watched as it lunged and bucked to remove the strange item from it's back. Sighing she took the lead, letting the Hastar walk out it's frustration.
Once it had calmed Erionda attempted again. It took several hours of the same progress until the hastar seemed to give in. Satasfied with her progress that it now was able to carry her luggage. Erionda remounted her old hastar and continued on her way. Now she had two very tame and trained creatures to help with pulling her items around. She debated if the second one was really worth keeping, but she had been desperate to catch a second hastar to start with. Now she had it. She would present this one to Kilian in the future. Hopefully he would be ok with the fact this one was another Hastar from Soudul.
