50 + 10 (familiarity) +10 (drakein) - 5 (Drakien) -30 (capture bonus) = Failed
Erionda shifted through the snow as it swirled around her feet. She had been working hard on the reconstruction of her fathers house. And while it was much bigger than her home on Eowyn, Erionda needed more creatures that could withstand the cold atmosphere of the frozen world. Aisko was a hard place to survive. The Aiskala hybrid wasn't sure if her current Hastar was going to be strong enough to handle the frozen world. Erionda had also heard rumor that there were Hastar here on Aisko she could tame. Biting her lip as she moved slowly about the frozen tundra Erionda was unable to track any of the fabled creatures. The snow covered the tracks faster than she could catch up, and they didn't seem to travel in as big of heards as she had seen them move in Soudul.
Part of her wanted to return to Soudul, to hunt and capture the easier prey. Another part of her was afraid to return. The last time she had been on Aisko Erionda had painfully watched a battle between her Mate and his father. Something that had separated Kilians family.
A cold wind blew, changing the direction of the drifting snow. Erionda wasn't as easily effected by the cold. She felt more comfortable here than she did on Eowyn. While she felt the bite of the cold air she was more immune to it then anyone without the innate power of the icy Aiskala dragons. Pausing as she caught movement out of the corner of her eyes. An adult Hastar had it's nose stuffed into the snow. It's hoof digging into the frozen water from time to time in an effort to push it out of the way. Exited Erionda and her companions approached the Hastar. Their strategy was the same they had used to capture the first Hastar. What she didn't expect was the furry creature to actually face her head on.
It's head lowered defensively as it bayed at her. Startled Erionda attempted to move closer. All she had to do right now was capture it right? Letting a rope dangle loose from her hands Erionda's eyes widened. The hastar was charging at her! Unsure of what to do all the hybrid could think of was move quickly out of the way.
