Maia sighed and watched the people in the developing town go about their daily business. She was tucked up in the window seat of the room that she had been given and she was feeling a little down. She was worried about her people and she was sad that she had not been allowed to go. She hoped that the journey was not proving too difficult for the small party that had gone. Reaching out, she ran her hand over Luna's soft fur and rested her head against the window pane. The not knowing was killing her.

Elora was missing Cyrus. This was an odd and alien concept to her, she did not usually care about anyone but herself. Humming to herself she walked down the hallway carrying some clothes that she had dug out of her wardrobe. Pausing outside the door of her newest companion. She knocked on the door.
"Maia, can I come in?"

Mai looked up at the knock and then down at Luna as her hostess' voice came through it.
"It's unlocked. You may come in," she smiled a little. Despite Talia's reservations about being housed at the Rose Garden, Maia was enjoying the fact that she was no longer alone. She had travelled for so long by herself that she had almost forgotten what it was like to have companionship.

Elora smiled and breezed into the room. The dogs growled at her but she ignored them. As if they could do anything.
"Ive brought you some clothes. You're not that much shorter than me really, we can take some of these up a bit." They were quite simple dresses, not like the corsets and frills she favoured. Still pretty though.

Mai watched the pretty woman breeze into the room and glanced down at Luna as she growled. Smirking a little, she rubbed her head gently and then looked to the pile of colorful fabrics that she had brought in with her.
"Oh... you don't have to go to any trouble for me. I wouldn't want you to ruin your clothes on my account," she smiled a little and eased herself up carefully to her feet.

Elora smiled and tossed the dresses on the bed.
"My dear, I have far too many pretty dresses. You might as well have some of them." She smiled and looked at the poor young thing. "You miss your home and your family." She said softly, "I miss my home too. Don't worry though, Cyrus and Isambard will find them and helped them out."

Mai wandered closer to the bed to inspect the pile and her pale brows lifted. She had never seen so many colors in one place before. Reaching out, she touched one and marveled at the feel of the fabric until Elora spoke again. Looking up at her, a sad smile slipped across her lips.
"I'm worried for them. They were so sick before I left. It was not meant to take so long to find help," she said softly. "You really do have a lot of clothes," she smiled a little, turning her attention away from thoughts of her family. "I've never worn anything like these before."

"No? I wear things like this all the time." She grinned, watching the girl touch the fabric. "You only live once so why not enjoy a little luxury." She gestured to the nicely decorated room. "I love the finer things in life as you can see."

Mai laughed a little and reached out to pick a dress of rich blue.
"What I have on is what we wear back home. We cannot afford luxury. For one, it would get ruined in the mines. Also we would freeze if we wore something like that," she said, gesturing to the dress that accentuated Elora's assets. "We can't have our bits exposed if we want to keep them," she smirked a little and ran her pale hand over the luscious fabric of the dress she held.

Elora laughed.
"You would be amused with what people wear in my country then. Much less than this." She gestured to her attire. "Much much less, I come from a desert land, it's hot. Clothes like yours would kill us." She winked and moved to pick up the dress that Maia seemed to have taken to. "Try it on."

Mai lifted her brow at that. She couldn't imagine wearing less than what she was wearing already. Smirking a little, she looked at the dress and then her own clothes and then back to Elora.
"I'm not sure I know how to wear something like that," she declared and looked back to her trousers and wrapped blouse.

Elora smiled and held the dress up.
"It's easy, you just slip it over your head like a top and I will button it up for you. I can do your hair too, you have lovely colour hair, mine is like that naturally too, almost silver." She was quite enjoying having a girl around who wasn't business, someone she could take care of.

Maia eyed the dress for a moment as she tried to figure out the best way to tackle such a feat. There was so much material. Breathing in, she slipped her trousers off and tossed them onto a nearby chair. Undoing her blouse, she slipped it off and then reached for the dress. Etched into her pale skin were the markings of her people and status. On one arm the symbol of their god wound around in an intricate pattern. The other, the markings of royalty amongst her people. Picking up the dress, she twisted it around and gathered it up, then slipped it over her head. For a brief moment, she was certain she was going to drown in silks as she struggled against them.
"Help!" she called out with a bit of a laugh.

Elora smirked as she got all tangled up and went to help her. She had lots of markings, like her own people. Not that she showed hers off, though Cyrus did.
"You have some interesting markings." She remarked as she helped sort Maia out, making sure the dress fell right then beginning to button it up.

Mai smirked as she finally emerged from the silks with the help of Elora and she set about sorting them out a bit. The material felt weird against her skin. It was almost like she was wearing nothing at all. She was used to wearing materials that had weight to them. Her comment drew her eyes to her arms which were rather exposed now.
"They are the markings of my people. This our god's mark," she said, resting her hand over the symbol of a crossed hammer and pick axe wrapped in intricate flames. "This is the symbol of my family," she continued, switching arms and closing her eyes for a moment as she prayed that they were alright.
