The storm was coming on quick, but still sat far away to not pose a danger just yet. However, by Yasmin's experience in the desert it would wash over the oasis she had been calling home for a while now. She was glad of that comfort. There were many bushes, rocks, and tree trunks to hide behind. It was only a pity she had solid horse hooves. A tent would work better than nature itself as protection. Like those her master had used during his trips to the desert. And those funny hats he wore to help against the heat. She was also thankful to be pure white and not be troubled by the heat as some other creatures might be.

It did get awfully warm under her saddle, though. If she knew of a way to remove it she would. But if she also removed it, she might not get it back on. It was too pretty to remove. Too pretty to allow to sit on the dirty ground where those little rodents scurried over with their nasty little feet.

The white mare flicked her tail at a small insect before turning her back momentarily on the sand storm some good distance behind her. Brown eyes fell upon the stallion still in her midst. Her mouth twisted, not in a smile, but a small frown at the sight of him. His presence here wasn't something she was still comfortable with. Was he stuck or too much a gentleman to leave a lone mare in the desert by herself? If she wanted to leave, she could. It wasn't like she never took constant trips to it before.

Ignoring him, the small white head with the black nose swayed back and forth towards the sun above. She was almost tempted to try a tent of her own with those large leaves up there.

User ImageTenar had gone to hunt some smaller animals and returned only after he had cleaned himself. He had remained in a safe earshot of the mare he now protected since he'd met her in the hot desert. Approaching silently he watched her gaze upon large leaves. Flicking his ears the approaching storm was evident. a constructed shelter perhaps? Doable being an alcor he was able to shape shift after all he couldn't let the mare get wet if she sought better shelter certainly that would be poor manners on his part. Besides something about her fascinated him, he couldn't quite put his hoof or pawn on it.

"Let me get that for you M'lady" he said shifting behind her with great claws the stallion leaped into the tree and began to pull down branches and large leaves. "I will make you a shelter." He didn't expect a musty cave would do for the mare and one of those he'd seen nearby. It was still rather difficult without posable thumbs(What ever those were) but never the less paws made construction still much easier than hooves.

His feline tail swayed back and forth as he worked making a makeshift shelter. His mothers had told him of the strange places where they had come from in which shelters were made in such a fashion. He'd not known it would come in so handy now. How about a tent made of nature, heavy sticks the stallion had plunged into the ground with is tiger's strength made up the base of the shelter, he'd used the leaves to cover the construct with delicate care he'd(with great trouble) managed to use vines to tie the thing together.

"Will this do?" he asked her shifting back into his horse form, he pulled the blanket off his back and placed it on the floor of the all natural tent. The Storm approaching quicker than before.

Yasmin stood chewing on one of her reins, a nervous twitch she had developed shortly after falling. Unlike chewing on one's hair, reins at least tasted better and didn't get stuck in her mouth or throat as uncomfortably as hair did. So long as she only allowed small threads to enter her mouth. Small threads were easily washed down the throat to never be thought about, again. And it wasn't like it was any different than what she usually ate, right? Whatever the threads were made of. Her master had never shared such things with her, probably mistaking her for a common equine. And why wouldn't he? She was a starborn. Nothing to be ashamed of, but not a breed of Star with anything magical to show. Still, in her opinion she still outranked all those common horses.

While the stallion in her midst outranked herself. Perhaps that was a reason why she didn't like him here. Yasmin wasn't accustomed to sharing any kind of limelight, nor did she want to. Either she was greater or they were equal. Which would be impossible. She couldn't just teach herself the skills he had. Or grow a horn for the healing that came with his breed. Not that she even wanted a horn. There was beauty in her simplicity that no other breed could match. A pureness in the white fur with only the black on her face to break it up. Or her brown eyes.

Lost in her own thoughts, the sound of her unwitting companion's voice made her jump slightly. For a moment, though she had been thinking about him, she had forgotten he was there. Had wished he had merely been some mirage or past acquaintance. Oh, well. What was he doing? Oh, making a shelter. Very well, she guessed she could allow him to do that. If it would make him feel better. And, more secretly, she could avoid the task herself. These hooves were not suited to building.

Taking a few moments to judge the distance of the storm, the mare turned her attention fully on him. If he had been hoping to achieve that, at least, mission accomplished.

She walked towards it, giving it an inspection. Not bad, she had to admit. It might weather the storm. His poor blanket would get dirty, however.

"It may. The trees should weather a good deal of the storm."

The finished shelter was made mostly for for the mare as Tenar didn't mind such weather. he was more concerned about her. he could tell she wasn't the sort to like to get her hooves dirty and he didn't mind the work. It's just how he was, at least because of the mother who raised him. Though he had two mothers, both whom he respected very much but it was Azha to took care of him and taught him right from wrong and to help those in need. For some reason though. he had a feeling she would have been fine she seemed like a survivor..

"I apologize did I startle You from your thoughts M'lady?" Tenar gave her a nod as he had her full attention. that was to be expected. He gave her a bow "I am glad it meets with your approval." He motioned for her to go inside. "If you would M'lady" Tenar only followed as much as the edge, he didn't mind the rain so much as the wind. The Trees too would at least make a good windbreak. He had to keep a lookout in case a predator or otherwise decided to use the storm as a diversion.

He had promised to protect her and he would.
