Character Name: Dylena Fayne Kyladox (Many call her Lena Fayne)
Race: Oblivionite
Gender: Female
Clan: N/A
Class: Though she initially starts as a Mage Battler, her very first Dragon hunt ends in tragedy, and she'll go through the Path Change Solo as an Apprentice (if possible; if she must wait until Adept, then she shall). So, then she'll be a Scholar - Enchantress. Her weapon-choosing solo will happen before her first battle, though.
Appearance:
1. Shadow colored skin (plucked right off the Flight Rising color wheel! XD).
2. Cold-weather, mage like attire (so don't show off too much skin, please!)
3. Short, straight black (or deep, deep blue) hair that frames her face. I'd be pleased if she maybe had some cute, fluffy bangs with some sort of headband!
Personality:
xxxxLoyal: Dylena is extremely loyal to those she cares about. That's pretty much just her family for now, though she'll stick up for anyone being bullied, no matter the race. She's willing to sacrifice herself in any way she can to protect those important people. Sometimes, if she's feeling in a particularly fiery mood, she'll even overestimate her powers and end up in even more trouble than she started with. As long as it’s for someone she loves, she doesn't mind. She's also pretty good at keeping secrets, unless keeping them ends up hurting someone.
xxxxDiligent: She is careful to fully complete all her tasks to the best of her ability. If it requires studying or physical work, Lena is willing to give it her best shot, even if the most likely outcome is failure. She never gives less than 100%, and she will never back down from a challenge! She's very good at listening and following directions. It's very rare that she'll deter from any instructions given. Though some people may classify this an mindlessly obeying orders, Lena won't do anything she thinks is offensive.
xxxxEmotional: It’s hard to classify this as a positive or negative thing, since Lena is equally swayed to excitement by good things that happen as she is by negative events. When bad things happen, she takes it hard. And even though she knows not to blame the messenger, sometimes it’s a little difficult for her to comply. When good things happen, she reverts to nearly hysterical excitement, even if it seems like a small thing to be pleased about. Won't this be a fun trait when she learns she won't be an effective battler anymore? XP
xxxxMature: Despite her emotional nature, Lena actually is rather mature for her age. She’s devoted, hardworking, and loyal and willing to help out any of her friends and family with their problems. She’s decently intelligent, and anything she doesn’t know for certain, she’s most definitely willing to look up or otherwise obtain information on. She takes on any tasks that seem to dangerous or dirty for anyone else, even if it’s out of her range of power to accomplish.
xxxxImperious: Lena feels that she is probably one of the more intelligent specimens of her race. As such, the others should have to listen to her, since she knows best! She can be bossy and overbearing, and loves to be told that she's right or that she's doing a good job. She doesn't much care for being disobeyed, shunned, or shot down, and she's not afraid of giving anyone (regardless of race, size, or age) a warning pop with her staff!
xxxxFastidious: She's a bit... obsessive compulsive when it comes to her things. For the most part, she doesn't like anyone touching her belongings, or being near them, or looking too hard at them. She doesn't share well at all for fear that anyone who breaths on them will ruin the pristine condition she's kept them in. You definitely don't want to be the person who knocks over her shelf of supplies in the shop, or you'll find yourself on the receiving end of her moodiness, and probably her staff too.
Biography/Background: Dylena lives with her mother, father, and grandmother (on her mother’s side) within Obsidian City, just as she has for all seven years of her life. Their home is located atop the shop the family owns. Her mother and grandmother own and manage a remedial herb shop, though her mother (once a mage) is also proficient in magical healing. Despite this, she believes all natural methods should be tried before dabbling in the uncertainty that is magic; a principle she has tried to instill in her young daughter Lena.
Unfortunately, Lena didn’t learn that principle well. She’s very eager to play with her meager magic and loves to read about the great things others have done with theirs. She dabbles in anything she can get her hands on, but usually finds herself disappointed in what she can accomplish. Still, the second she is able, she'll approach Draco to be given her weapon - the staff (a handy walking stick for later), so that she'll be able to use more powerful magics.
Thoughts on the Great Engagement: War is useless. She hates the idea of so many battling for their lives and dying over some silly confrontation that doesn't really include them. Her mother taught her that all life is precious, and that they must do their best to help and heal everyone they can, even those of different races. Only kindness and acceptance can win wars. Not battles. Even in the face of hatred, she does her best to remain neutral. Though she isn't at all fond of people (of any race) who snap at others because they are different. She approaches everyone openly and willingly, but anyone who immediately shuts down her or her beliefs without hearing her out is no friend of hers. Despite her teachings, if someone is cruel to her, she may not be willing to offer her assistance later.
Thoughts on the Dragons and Drakeins: Though they may not be two-leggers, they are still treasured life. Unfortunately, it seems most Dragons are quite aggressive, and fleeing from them is not always the best option. If it is in defense of herself and her home and friends, then she will face them with her head held high. But she will do her best to avoid unnecessary battles. Drakeins - beasts they may be - seem more accepting, and are at least willing to communicate with them. They are potential friends like the other two-legged races.
