Moping in his room was what the gancanagh did best. He spent four months in his room doing nothing but interacting with his pets, avoiding classes, and just all around laying on his bed staring at the ceiling.
There was no contact from Sharra. He'd been avoiding Yaya, half as punishment to himself, and half due to... punishing himself. He really was an idiot, and knew that he'd have to make it up to her somehow. But what was bugging him... what was Sharra's deal? Why had he dropped off the face of the school, with no contact or no word of what was going on?
Sitting up and making a face at his fluttering Tinkerbell, he walked over to his mirror and stared at the picture of Muirin for a moment, shoulders sagging. As time went on, it became easier and easier to move on from that memory, but he knew that he'd never forget her. Not ever.
Brushing his hair with the comb that lay on the shelf, Marosa made a face in the mirror at himself, deciding that now was the time, and it was much better than never. If he didn't get up now, he never would. He needed to take the initiative once in a while, and Yaya had taught him that time and time again. He only had to implement it once in a while. (Though more often than not...)
Giving a brief wave to his minipets, Marosa left his room and picked up a bouquet of flowers on the way to Yaya's dorm room, shaking his hair loose as he walked down the hallway. Was she just as mad and confused as he was?
There was only one way to find out.
Raising his hand, he gave a brief, loud knock on her door, feeling more than a bit antsy. It was almost like he was on a first date again.

Moping had been a shared exercise, though neither knew it. But this was an old dance for the marid, one that was getting most tiresome. How many times now had her beloved disappeared. How many more times would she have to endure after this one. Her heart hurt, but it wasn't the acute, crippling pain it had been before. Now it was duller, a throb that resonated out from her core and filled the ghoul with resentment. It had been quick, she'd still not quite gotten over that last heartache. Marosa's absence had been a little harder to swallow. It had come as a surprise. If anything, the djinn had excepted the gancanagh to lean more heavily on her without their mutual boil in the picture. She had been wrong. So she had gone about her business, and she had pretended nothing was wrong, though she did not speak of the nergal, nor the faerie. The subject was avoided whenever possible, or deflected if ever it had come up. She didn't want to talk about it. She didn't want to think about it. That wasn't going to be an option any longer. There was a knock, and the ghoul sat up from where she'd been laying at the foot of her bed. "Who might that be?" She hummed quietly to the pale serpent that coiled about her fingers. White body in bold contrast with tanned skin. Gently she unwound the pet from her hand and lay it on her bed, then slipped through into the main portion of her dorm to answer the door. She was smiling when she opened it, but it slipped as she saw who had come calling. "Marosa?" There was a coolness to her voice that suggested she was upset with him, but she didn't close the door in his face. Instead she took him in, the flowers in his hand, and stepped aside so he could enter. Leaning her shoulder against the wall, arms crossed.

"Oi'm sorreh." He walked in and leaned opposite of her, not even daring to touch her. "Oi'm an idiot, and oi dinnae do anything besides mope around." A sigh escaped his lips as he rolled his shoulders back, closing his golden orbs for a brief moment.
"Ye deserve someone better." He smiled slightly, knowing full well she would smack him for his lack of concern for himself, but he continued. "If'n ye would like, oi... kin try tae be that boil. Someone tae lean on, when Sharra's not there." He'd grown fond of Yaya, after all, and it showed. At least, he hoped it did. "Or... even if Sharra is there."
Pressing his hands together, he stared at them as he continued. "Yer... easy tae be around. Easier tae move on from my past, from what happened to Muirin. Oi've come tae realize that. And appreciate it. Oi would like to return the favor, if ye can accept this moron's apology." Wings fluttering behind him, he glanced up at her, not knowing what to expect.

The apology was met with a mute stare as she waited for him to continue on, to give her a little more to work with, and he didn't disappoint. She watched him keenly as he pointed out what she deserved, and yes, she was tempted to snap at him, to remind him that it wasn't just her that deserved better then what she got, but she held her tongue, let him continue, and was glad she had. Or mostly glad. The offer to step in, to be more, had chilly features softening, and she drew in a long breath, licked her lips to chase back the sudden dryness. Someone to lean on when Sharra wasn't there.. Or even if he was. It made her frown, and she dropped her gaze to the ground, arms tightening around herself. What would she do if and when the nergal came back? She couldn't keep forgiving him, her heart wouldn't survive it. She let him keep talking as she thought about it, considered the possibility of letting the nergal go, of finally moving on, and it surprised her to realize the notion wasn't completely heartbreaking. The djinn was tired, so tired, of the emotional roller coaster. It wasn't a case of not loving him, it never had been. She just couldn't handle the disappearances anymore. The not knowing. The lack of any real security. The flutter of wings pulled glowing eyes back up to him, and she thought about all the time she'd spent with him, just him. She thought of Prom, and how much fun they'd had. She thought have sharing tea, and warm bodies in soft sheets and countless naps in peaceful company. Still frowning she unwrapped her arms from around herself and held her hands out for him. "Come here." When he reached for her she'd pull him in closer, and she'd wrap him in hug, bury elegant fingers into ginger curls. Her lips found his, and she kissed him, soft and delicate, and felt that rush of longing and adoration that came with skin to skin contact. It was magic, but it was no less real. She'd come to appreciate him as much as he had her, and it had hurt when he'd shut himself away. "You're not a moron," she murmured against his mouth.

"Oi am at times." He murmured softly, running his own fingers through her hair. "More often than not, oi have to admit." He gave a brief smile before just hugging her, holding her close, resting his head on her shoulder as he closed his eyes.
He was so relieved. It had taken him some time to get out of his self-induced funk, and he knew he had to make things right. This was the first time Sharra had disappeared on him, but to Yaya... he couldn't begin to feel how she felt. He had to be there for her, like he'd tried to be there for Muirin.
Fare the well, lass.
And just like that, he let go. It wasn't his fault, but there were still some loose ends that needed tying up. Like his father... but that was for another time. For now, Yaya was important, and he'd make this day all for her.
"Oi was prepared to take ye out, if ye want to go somewhere. Or we kin just stay here. Either way, we kin enjoy each other's company." His smile reached his eyes, making his nose crinkle up.

"It's a good thing you have me then," she assured him, pressing her face into his curls as he hugged her to him. Nimble fingers pressed into the small of his back, massaging out and along his hips until simply resting there. It was a relief for her as well, him coming to her. It meant she wasn't alone, that she hadn't lost them both. Something she could have survived, but something that would have broken something inside her. When he drew back and smiled she mirrored him, though her's took on an impish light. "We could go out," she agreed, lifting on hand so she could touch his chin with the curve of her finger, tipping it to one side as she leaned in. "Or we can stay in," was breathed against his cheek. The pad of her thumb smoothed along the line of his jaw, and she slid her cheek his. So soft. How long had it been since she'd seen him. Since she'd gotten to trail full lips along that pale, perfect skin. How long since they'd really had any time alone. Going out could wait. An hour, or a day, or a week. They had time. For now, the djinn was struck with a certain need to catch up. So much wasted time, so many missed chances. She used turned his cheek away from her, and her lisp ghosted against the edge of his ear. "Let's stay in," she purred. "Let me remember you, all of you." fingers tightened on his hip. "Let's remember each other."

Shock showed as his eyes widened, but he soon smiled; he'd forgotten how touchy she was, and he had to admit to himself that he enjoyed every moment of it.
"As you wish," He replied quietly, closing his eyes and rubbing his cheek against hers, fingers sliding up against the back of her neck and into her hair. Marosa took a moment to just breathe, to relax and hold her tightly as he lived in the moment. He breathed in, and then out, a long exhale that made him relax completely. Opening his eyes, he glanced at her and smiled, giving her a quick kiss on the nose. It was so cute when she scrunched that up.
"Oi'm a little hungry, though. Oi dinnae remember, do they do room service here?" He'd heard of some rich demons able to have room service, but he wasn't sure if that was servants, or if it was something else entirely. "Or we could get started on... remembering." He really didn't mind, and she was just as intoxicating to him as he was to her.

The fingers that slid through her hair made the ghoul shiver, goosebumps spreading along every inch of dark, henna kissed skin. She sighed, relaxing against him as she breathed him in. Those powers of his washed over her, quickening her pulse. They amplified feelings that had already been budding. The djinn cared for the fae, a great deal. What had begun as a means to maintain peace had turned into so very much more. He was important to her, but until this moment, when he'd showed up at her door, she hadn't realized just how far they had come. He kissed her nose, and she chuckled, features pinching up before she leaned forward and pressed her face into the side of his neck. The bass of his voice vibrated against her cheek as he spoke, and she pursed her lips against the solid pulse that lay just beneath them. "If you're really hungry I have a few things hidden away," she offered quietly. It had taken a while to get her room back in order after the shadowlings had wreaked havoc, but everything had been repaired or replaced. The low table sat in the middle of the living area, multiple cushions placed around it. There was a desk with school work resting on top of it as well as a computer. On the opposite wall beside the door to the bathroom was a short counter, a mini- fridge rested below it. Inside were various drinks, fruit, even a folded carton housing the left overs of yesterdays dinner. She'd turned her head to glance towards the mini-fridge, drawing the dae's attention towards it before looking back up into golden eyes as her tongue danced over her lips. It didn't take much prompting beyond his willingness to skip dinner for the ghoul to press against him, nudging him towards the door to the bedroom. The flowers he'd been holding were extracted from his grasp and set on the desk as they passed it. She'd put them in water later, there were more important things at hand. "I missed you," she admitted rather suddenly, and there was darkening of her cheeks as some strong emotion slid through glowing eyes. She searched his face, those golden eyes, watching and waiting for any reaction to her words as she backed them towards the door. "He left, and you disappeared, and.." There was a hitch in her voice, and she stopped her forward progression just shy of the wall. Drawing her lip between her teeth as she dropped her gaze, looked away. It was easy to lose herself in his touch, in his presence, but opening up again, admitting her feelings, that was harder.

"Oi could eat, but oi'm not starvin'." Came his easy reply, and his hand rose to press gentle fingers against her jaw, nudging her to look at him.
"Lass, if'n oi can help it, oi won't disappear on ye. Not unless oi had a reason, and oi'm not talking about a stupid reason." He smiled softly, kissing the side of her lips gently. How strange it was to be so much gentler around her, and not have to worry about his powers being out of control or influencing her beyond what she could handle.
She'd already proven that she was strong. Now he had to hold up his end and prove that he'd be her anchor.
"Oi dinnae want to say that oi love ye, but oi'm beginning to feel it." There was honesty in his gaze. "If'n ye still hold feelings for Sharra, oi kin stand in. Oi dinnae know why he disappeared, but oi'm here. And oi'm stronger for it." The faerie frowned as he closed his eyes for a moment, shaking his head. "And oi apologize if oi ... forget things. It seems tae be happening a bit more often, now... oi thought it had been a week, when it had been a few months, methinks." Marosa's fingers slid up her jaw, toying with a loose lock of her hair.
He so did adore her hair.Beejoux So sorry for the late reply. Life should be back on track now @_@;;

A gentle nudge brought her gaze up to him, and those glowing eyes held all the vulnerability she worked so hard to hide. The kiss at the corner of her lips was gentle, as gentle as voice as her murmured a reassuring promise. One she'd heard before, one she'd believed, but one that had come from a different boil and a different voice. It left her searching his face, jaw tightening as his words washed over her. She wanted to believe him, wanted to believe he'd be there, that he wouldn't disappear. She wanted so badly just to let go of that last little bit of of doubt. There was the slightest little tick at the corners of her lips. The barest hint of a frown before he was speaking again and glowing pools of cerulean widened. Love. Fresh and new and terribly fragile. The first hesitant stirrings. He was falling for her. Her, not the boil that had drawn them together, but her alone. And still he undervalued himself. Still doubted. Soft fingers slid along her cheek, caught dark hair and twisted it, toying gently. "Sorrow makes time pass strangely," she whispered, head turning so she could brush her lips along his knuckles before flicking bright eyes up to glittering gold. "Let's not talk about him." Just because he'd brought them together, didn't mean they needed him to stay together. "Let's not think about him, or how long it's been, or anything else." Finally she leaned forward again, urging him until his back was against the wall and she could press against his chest. Going on tiptoes so the coolness of her cheek met the warmth of his own. "You're not a stand it, Marosa." She kissed his cheek, beside his ear and down the line of his jaw. "Not a substitute. I care for you. Just you." Fingertips touching soft curls, cupping his cheeks as she lay her lips against his, chaste and soft, and utterly sweet. "Just you." It was whispered against his mouth, and this time the kiss wasn't soft, wasn't sweet. It held all the heat that had been dancing in the ocean of her eyes moments earlier. Hadiyya kissed him as if she'd drink him down. Every last drop.

"Aye, lass. That it does." Relief was in his voice. Evident, pent up relief was let out in his reply as he listened, and replied to her statement.
"Oi'm glad. Just you and me..." And then she kissed him, an intense action that left his mind spinning and thoughts on just her, to where he was pinned against the wall with his arms clenching tightly around her waist, never wanting to let go. The heat of her kiss made him unable to think in his actions, and he reciprocated with eagerness.
It made his toes curl.
His eyes almost shut as he took in her beauty, her whole self. She was amazing, and he couldn't help but slide a hand up her back to her neck, the back of his fingers grazing over her collarbone in a gentle manner. Marosa wanted to savor this moment.
But then again, he wanted to savor every moment with her.
Yes, he was most definitely falling for her, and falling for her hard.

Hadiyya last herself in the feel of his lips and the press of his hands around his arms around her body. As fast as he was falling, she was right there with him. With a soft little sound, those elegant hands slid along his shoulders, down his chest to settle at his sides, fingertips slipping beneath the edge of his shirt to touch the warmth of his skin beneath. Teeth grazed across his lip as she drew back enough to meet those honey kissed eyes, and she give a soft jerk of her head towards the bedroom door beside them, smile seductive. It was just them, and in that moment that was perfect. In his arms she was happy. No problem seemed too large. No obstacle they couldn't overcome. Grinning, she rose up on tip toe to press her cheek into his, burying her face into those fiery curls and drawing in the warm, softly spice that was all Marosa. Blindly she reached out for the door, groping against the wood until she caught the handle. It opened, and she was pulling out of the boil's arms only to catch his hand and tug him with her as she moved through and into the bed room. A little push nudged him towards he bed, and she waited for the minipets that had been snoozing on the blankets to vacate the room before kicking the door shut behind them.
