Andrew stumbled out of the office with a pale look on his face. He had to what? Was this a real curse? Oh Jack, he was gonna die. Who did he even know that would allow such contact. and 7? Who did he know on the campus? Well he could assume he would manage at least one hug... Danny would give him one, if he survived his back breaking afterwards, but dissipating was better then turning into a pile of sparkle. Forever. The only thing was, who did he hug? Why did this have to be so awkward? why couldn't he have had to slay a thousand humans by the end of the day instead. No one wanted to hug something on fire. The demon stumbled around totally confused as to what to do. Edel was on her way back from the office as well, having had to submit yet another set of letters explaining her leave from the School, parent consent forms, and yet another appeal for to file for graduation early despite not meeting the requirements - wasn't taking the year out supposed to count for something?!
Though considering the less than stellar showing at the House Cup championships, the frost demon conceded she could do much better and was resigned to overloading this semester. She could start with the clearing the backlog of open classes for one.
Something nearby was making the temperature go up, which was very uncomfortable. If she was going to run into Danny - well, she could at least get a word of thanks for so charitably providing the answers to the chop quiz....

School was honestly the last thought on his mind at the moment. Having the strand mark on his arm was rather distracting.
Honestly when he spotted the ghoul he almost did a drive by hugging. just to get one out of the way. But when he got close, she was coooold! Nope. Nope. Nope. His tail flicked back and forth as he stood staring at her in indecision. Well at least she wasn't a dog. Still, he didn't want to get near her. Instead he planted himself just a few feet away, trying to will himself forward. but he hated touching people. He honestly couldn't decide what was worst at the moment.

Edel got her answer soon enough as she turned the corner - she was right, well, not really. The frost demon returned the look of apprehension, staring back at the boil awkwardly. Why was he looking at her like that?
Then she remembered that she may or may not have seen him around as helping out with the Demon dorms' booth - ah, he was related to Danny. Or at least related enough to be subject to the flame demon's ribbon makeover.
"Y-Yes, may I help you?" she ventured with a question, guessing that he may be a messenger on behalf of a certain other flame demon.

Andrew didn't realize quiet how many people knew his cousin. He honestly didn't think he looked a thing alike her. They only had a similar placement of flames, and that was where the resemblance ended.
So he didn't realize that she recognized him form the booth, nor that how his cousin had, forced asked him to help would extent people's recognition of their relation. He had merely stayed at the booth because he didn't want to get up and be around people. (And barely tolerated Danny's choice in makeovers. It was easier to ignore her and take them off later.)
At any rate, his problem had nothing to do with his cousin. "I... er...." Jack why him?
"I need a hug." he mumbled out staring at his feet.

Well that escalated quickly. The frost demon stood frozen on the spot, trying to register what he had just said. Why would he want a hug a frost demon-
Then it occurred to her that there was probably a lot of suffering in the time she had been away from school. She had a rough year one here too.
"Er- uhm," came a reply that betrayed the desire for this to be over quickly, for both their sake's, "Alright?" The ghoul approached Andrew in a series of offbeat steps before leaning forward just so enough that she could put her arms around him and pat him on the back, trying to keep minimal contact as far as possible. "My sincerest feelings," she would affirm him, as she drew back from the quickest hug ever.
Edel always thought that the school sorely lacked decent counselling services, considering the frequency at which the various horrible events occurred. She was also feeling particularly obliged to offer him any help she could, seeing how he must have been truly desperate for that hug.
"Is there uhm, anything else I could help you with?" she asked carefully.

His flames flickered as his face turned several shades of red she misunderstood. She must have thought he was some strange scarling.
But then she stepped forward and he shut his eyes not really wanting the contact at all. (Also her "caring" line was the most pathetic excuse for trying to make someone feel better he had ever heard, though he hadn't had the luxury of hearing his own "caring" comments.)
"No no.... It's not..." ugh. "I was cursed. I don't need..." well he really did need a hug. But it would have to come from someone who actually gave half a lick about him. But that was way beyond the point. He would have survived without having to actually have on or face an awful death. "I don't need that kind of hug." he gave the mark on his arm a look over. Was it fading at all? It seemed to be the same as before.
"And nope... no that was all I needed.... just don't tell anyone about this, ok?"

Edel tried to hide her surprise at Andrew's tsundere reaction. It did really seem like he had issues, although probably not as severe as she had initially thought.
"You're welcome," she said dryly, not sure what to make out of the situation. The part about him being cursed did seem to explain some of it, though she mostly unamused at the lack of appreciation for the kind gesture. Then again he didn't seem like the cuddly type, recalling that he was clearly disgruntled with Danny's overwhelming affections.
"Good luck fixing that I suppose? Try not to hug the undeads while you're at it ...." the last part was muttered as an afterthought.

"... Nope no undeads." he didn't really want to set anyone on fire. Especially Olivia.
"Despite the face that I am a flame demon doesn't mean I just randomly set people on fire ok! I get it!" he scowled wings coming to attention, but not actually doing anything of use. "I don't just torment undeads! Just because..." fire curled around his fingers and horns but he settled the flames, putting them out like a sudden wind.

"I just meant it as a general advisory...." Then again that never stopped Danny from keeping close physical contact with Moure when they were in their first year.
Ice began to crystallize more noticeably on the ghoul's face, a reflex reaction to the flames. Andrew needed to take a chill pill. Was it a thing that the flame demons she knew were just generally rather disagreeable?
The boil seemed to have calmed down after the mention of a just because.... , but she wasn't one to probe.
"I apologize if I've offended you..."
....
"If there is nothing else-ah, I will get going," the ghoul signalled for an exit before she had to deal with another strange outburst.

"Right." she didn't want to be around him. He understood, he had to go.... find other people to hug.
Why were all ice demons jerks anyway?
But she did apologize and well, assisted in saving his tail.
"No.... thanks." the flame demon scowled and turned the other direction going away from her. He wanted to go to his room, but other things were more important today.
