The Hive found himself in a most peculiar locality. Below him yawned a great chasm which extended beyond the abilities of his sight and the range of his feelers, which gave him pause to alarm since he had no real recollection as to the area where he currently was. What was this…sorcery which had brought him to this place? Down one of the poles he skittered, clinging to the pole with the proficiency of an insect who had a lifetime of clinging to surfaces beyond the ability of humans but to where was he moving? To crawl down the pole would, possibly, take several hours yet he found himself in a place of comfort and didn’t have the will to complete his descent. So he didn’t. It took once mighty backwards swing of his thick arms to easily propel himself back to the top of the poles and, better yet, beyond the precipices of wooden sanctuary where he lifted and glided through the heavy winds at those dizzying heights. If he could smile and laugh, he would as he bandied about the lower atmosphere in a mimicked version of activities performed by his winged brethren. As he descended back to the pillars, he allowed the bulk of his frame to drop below the top of the posts, where his hands would reach out and grasp two of the pillars and fling himself back into the air as he had previously. Although he was enjoying this trip through the heavens, he spied something in the distance which made him believe that he needed to ready himself.
As he landed upon two of the posts, one foot on each of them, he saw Gaea Girl teetering upon a post near him. Suddenly, his upper right hand half clinched and moved to the center of his chest with his talons turned downward as his lower left hand mirrored the actions of his other to make a claw cage in front of his chest. He then turned to his left so that his left side led the stance, his balance was immaculate to the point of perfection as his barbs clung to the wood beneath his feet. His separate two arms held themselves with fists clinched in front of himself with his fists pointed towards the skies in which he had previously inhabited. In this stance, he was ready for combat. .

He shouldn’t have been surprised as Gaea Girl began to expel a stream of projectiles towards him which prompted him to drop down amongst the poles, placing him out of harm’s way as the spikes tracked just above him. The arms of his defensive stance were now at liberty to move him about the forest of unnatural wooden poles. He moved fluently, grasping a pole and pulling himself forward like a chimpanzee swinging amongst vines in a jungle. Quickly he darted between the structures, fueled by the mighty strength of his arms until he had maneuvered to Gaea Girl’s location and immediately the Homo- Optera clung onto the poles and swung his legs forward with the same rapidity and strength that he’d exhibited in his movements. The balls of his giant feet were aimed for Gaea Girl’s spine and the attack was two fold in an attempt to knock her forward and unseat her from the pole, while also disabling her movements by attacking the thick nerve bundles which comprised her spine. While taking this motion, his Attacking arm set was still clutched by his chest so that he could still attack or defend at a moment’s notice and as his mandibles yawned open wide and clicked into place at their extreme opening position. .
