Shiloh stared at his phone, what the hell did any of this have to do with winning? He wasn’t aware that they had been playing any game, and he had hoped that what had happened at the lighthouse would be the last of any scenario he’d have to play with Sam. There was something about her that Shiloh couldn’t put his finger on, something that made her someone to watch out for, far more so than Mark, and even more so than Caelius, which was a feat in and of itself. He couldn’t make sense of her, or her intentions, and her use of pet-names was really throwing him off. He apparently had hoped too soon, however, when he received the second message, paling as he read it. Dealing with Mark would be better because Shiloh had at least some semblance of where he stood with him. Her third text made no sense at all, and he assumed that she had to be talking about clues or something, and not the breakfast cereal. But then again, who knew? Everyone seemed a bit loony in this place. He made sure to save the messages, and then tucked his phone away before heading back to his dorm. --- As the designated hour rolled around, Shiloh made his way to the Death offices, and finding the appropriate door, took a deep breath, and knocked.

The door, already open, caved in as Shiloh knocked.
There were three people gathered around a table. The Death lead was sitting agains said table pinching the bridge of his nose as Sam and Mark seemed in the middle of some sort of passionate arguement about coordinates based on true north instead of relative north.
"This makes absolutely no sense," Sam continued. "These aren't even coordinate numbers. It's too clean. We're missing a step here and can we help you." This was addressed to Shiloh, though it seemed the Death Hunter had entirely forgotten about the two pm meeting, as did both other party members who simply stared at Shiloh as if he had grown a third arm.

The door swung open as he knocked, and Shiloh bit back a groan. The three stooges were placed around a table, and things seemed to be on par, Caelius looking miserable and the two assistants bickering. Dealing with Sam on her own spelled doom enough, but to have to juggle whatever game she wanted to play in front of the Death lead seemed nigh impossible. So long as their arguing stayed focus on the topic of geography, Shiloh supposed his life wasn’t in immediate danger, and he took a step into the room, freezing the moment Sam addressed him, and all eyes were suddenly trained on him. If he had had a third arm, he could have at least waved, or done something to relieve the tension. As it were, he straightened himself up and stared back at Sam. “It’s 2pm, you asked me to meet you here.”

"Oh, that. The Scooby gang thing." Sam turned to look at Caelius. "Did you let the others know abo-"
"Since this is your ******** specialization now until weapons conversion is back online, I would assume it is your goddamn responsibility to get everybody in order." The Death lead however said this almost on reflex as he seemed more busy trying to figure out how to navigate what looked like a map on Mark's open tablet. He hadn't quite gotten a hold of zooming in yet and it looked like Mark himself was very worried - and validated so too - about his precious tablet babies being thrown at walls in fits of ignorant anger.
Sam sucked in a deep breath and then took the opportunity to address Shiloh. "Hang on, we need to get this all done and over with anyway. I'll call up the whole gang. Did you want anything yourself hun? Food? Water? How about instead a whole plate of just desserts." There was some pun Sam was alluding to that didnt quite add up. He did not understand, nor particularly appreciate the text sent to him, but Gale arrived at Caelius' office within a few moments of it anyway, his expression one of the greatest irritation as he caught sight of Sam just inside. The pink haired trainee was a given a mildly curious look, though Gale didn't recognize him.
"I've been...summoned," he said, a little dryly. "Yes?"

Ruh-roh. Shiloh had expected a confrontation with Sam, not a party with the entire division, though he wasn’t particularly complaining as Sam whipped out her phone, as more people meant more witnesses, and he feared for his life from the Death leads a little less. Only a little, however, because on second thought, he was pretty sure Caelius would have no problem frying him in front of an audience. He shook his head at Sam’s offer of refreshments, and skirted into the room as a short man arrived behind him, Shiloh moving over to make room. He seemed about impressed to see his superiors as they were to see him, and Shiloh wondered how the Death division even managed to function. He gave the new arrival a cursory nod, but his new position in the office gave him a better vantage point, and he couldn’t help but get distracted from offering any further greeting, glancing curiously towards the tablet.

An angry voice slowly got louder as it approached the room, followed by the bursting in of an angry little Otto bee;
"YOU GODAMN b***h! WHO'RE YOU CALLIN' A MONGR---" Oh s**t right. Caelius was here. Otto snapped his mouth shut tight, and walked in a little more quietly.

And, last but not least, was - another life hunter? It was something of a relief to Lucky that he didn't quite know where Caelius's office was. He'd managed to avoid even having a direct conversation with Caelius up until this point. But it was also why he had gotten lost on the way over. Lucky paused before he opened the door. It was probably a bad decision. But he'd been making a lot of those lately, and above all he trusted Sam not to send him directly into the kind of danger he feared on the other side of the door. So it was a relief to see other hunters here already. The life intermediate slipped through the door, giving everyone a tentative look before joining what appeared to be mostly death hunters. Caelius and Shiloh got a blank and too-long glance, Mark got a quick wave, Gale and Otto each a nod, and Sam got a puzzled expression and the quiet mouthing of the word ' what'. He tried to blend in as best he could behind Gale and Otto, but death division didn't provide quite as tall of people to take cover behind.

If the Death lead had noticed the new arrivals, he didn't react at all as he continued, with an increasingly annoyed expression, trying to enhance an image of a map that was already fully zoomed in. "Continue," he managed, absently after a lengthy pause.
"All right, so I think that's everyone." Sam smoothly closed the door behind Lucky. "So everyone gathered here has had recent exposure to current internal affairs involving a certain letter. I think we're missing a member of the Scooby Gang, but I'll fill them in later. I don't think I need to remind you guys how sensitive this information is here." She twitched her lips upward. "Now recently we have hmm, how do we put it, a series of burglaries at HQ, and I want you guys, the Scooby Gang, to figure out who's doing it, why, and how they could have gotten away with it if it weren't for you and your pesky dog. Surely this isn't such a huge feat for the four of you, and hey, safety in numbers."
She reached over to a folder. "Before I hand over the clues and Scooby snacks, have any of you guys noticed anything or anyone else acting hmmmm, odd recently? We're pretty sure the supplier is someone on the island, and the best crimes are almost always done by the most familiar faces." Her smile was all sass as she regarded the four of them in succession and then laughed a little bit, flipping her hair as if this was somehow a joke.

The door closed, and called Shiloh back to attention, glad to focus on something other than the frustration that was Caelius trying to work the tablet. The Death lead had white in his hair, and Shiloh had assumed it was merely cosmetic, but now he had to wonder if Caelius wasn’t from some prehistoric era. He certainly seemed ruthless enough to have survived that long. Nevertheless, Sam had begin to detail their mission, despite an apparent missing member of their team, and Shiloh focused his attention on her. He highly doubted whoever they were after would be satisfied simply shaking their fist at some meddlesome kids if they did find them, and to sneak around without suspicion, it was likely someone they knew, or an old man wearing the face of someone they knew, which Shiloh didn’t particularly want to think about. Aside from you, Shiloh wanted to say in regard to her next question, but he held his tongue. Caelius hadn’t seemed to think much of his accusations of her before, and dislike was no excuse for insubordination. She confirmed his suspicions anyway, about the familiar face but searching back, Shiloh couldn’t remember seeing anyone acting particularly strange. On the island, someone acting completely regular and normal would probably be more suspect than any strange behavior, anyway. “Nothing out of the ordinary, Daphne,” he finally answered.

Otto shook his head, not having noticed any odd people or behaviour. Nothing new he could think of. He'd spent much of Sam's speech glaring at her with a deadened yet icy gaze, slouched and disinterested.

Sam took the silence as a point of continuing. "Well, that's it then. Story to be continued. Basically, we're a little busy right now-" she tried not to look back to whatever Caelius was doing with the tablet because it was best not to make eye contact, and the last time he asked how to add an attachment from his cellphone mailbox, it had nearly taken her two hours, with the Death lead refusing every milimeter of the way to allow Sam anywhere near his phone because clearly, he could handle it - "We're recruiting some extra hands to help us keep an eye out on things. We recently spotted what we think are one of their bases, but it could just as easily be a trap. Just move to location, wear something civilian, and try to blend in or something. Flashy Mystery Gang outfits are what we're trying to avoid here, you're mostly on guard dog duty, okay? If anything gets strange text us, otherwise, keep track of what's going on."
She shrugged. "Well, that's about it. I'll see you guys in the lighthouse in ten minutes or so."
Most likely, if the Scooby Gang, made it out of this current mission alive, Caelius would still be trying to zoom in on a map that really did not have this function. OOC When ready, meet at the lighthouse portal!

“Understood,” Shiloh said, brushing past the others. They could work out pleasantries when they weren’t in the same room as an increasingly frustrated Death lead with a penchant for trainee torture. For now, he was off to his room to change into something normal, and then headed towards the Mystery Machine. Normal consisted of a hoodie and jeans, and he had swapped the duck boots out for sneakers. There wasn’t much, unfortunately, that could be done for his hair, which was still as pink as ever. He arrived at the portal; his steps were decidedly more chipper this time around. Thinking over their mission while he'd been getting ready, it had sounded as though they would be entrusted to the task without Caelius’ death glare, and, more importantly, without Sam and he was excited to leave her behind at the lighthouse. Impressing leads and proving one’s worth was a lot easier to manage without a saboteur. Though, to be honest, he was excited to be doing anything. Stuck on the island without portals or missions, Shiloh was starting to wonder if Caelius hadn’t been at least partially right. He had certainly felt pretty useless, stuck on the island with nothing to do. He supposed at least, it was better than getting into more trouble, but he had a definite problem with sitting still. It was hard, and boring, and it made him anxious. He’d much rather be productive, and keep his mind focused on important tasks rather than the negative things that tended to slip their way in with too much idle time.
