I waste my time on: He tends to waste his morning on exercising and training himself alongside his pokemon. Other than that, he seems quite interested in watching pokemon and their natures as he careens through the various regions he travels. And seems to read a lot of detective comics, for its his dream to become the worlds best pokemon detective. Not to mention he also practices poses with his pokemon so he has a good rythem in battles or just because he thinks its cool, though it does seem to raise the moral of his pokemon.

On the surface: Joffrey is a free spirited being with the utmost confidence in himself and his stellar looks so he has been told. Though some may get the impression of him being quite comical in many more ways then one, with this being one of his strong assets he becomes very brash and adamant by nature. Though many can tell he is very different in terms of a normal human, his physical appearance is obviously stronger than others around his youth including his stamina. As it is quite clear with the muscle bulk and tone he had received from preparing for the trial of the man which started his whole journey in the first place. But don't let this appearance befuddle you or scare you even though he is quite built, his personality and actions tell more of a punk like attitude yet refined to a taste of a selfish wannabe hero. And even in the thick of it he seems to always a plan in mind regardless of the situation, rather it being completely stupid or suicidal. But in the end he will always have a smug look or end up laughing at something completely related to it.
But deep down: Jojo/ "The Story Of The Man" It all happened way back when on a nice march evening, a baby boy had cried the words of life bringing a new entity. The wind that whirled around Mt. Silver had caught the boys voice carrying it to very hanging cliffs of the massive mountain, and with a slight yet late reply the pokemon roared back. Everybody in the village rejoiced as a new man has come into there lives, one that will take the trial of the man to prove himself worthy before Mt. Silver. As weird as this sounds, its not a big deal specially since that's what the kid thought as we jump a few years ahead, nevermind lets talk about the beginning of time (lol). There has been a dojo that has been very native to Mt. Silver for many years and going and it was known for the strongest martial artists and people in general. For they wouldn't fight or train with humans but pokemon. Many fighting, dragon, rock, ground, flying, ice type live on the mountain and one of those type have been king of the mountain since the beginning of time. This pokemon is a rock type and goes by the name Tyranitar the armor pokemon, a very strong and proud creature with the might to move mountains or completely destroy them. For years on end they have trained by the very idea of strength and stamina like Tyranitar would, to one day complete what they call the Trial of the man. The trial of the man was a great honor to be granted and achieve, it wasn't just to become strong but to become one with a pokemon physically and spiritually. For that was the only way to be granted true strength, and only a few have been granted or even tried to achieve it but many have failed and few have succeeded. The goal of the trial was to raise a larvitar and embark a big journey becoming one with that larvitar was the ultimate goal, when that is achieved it will evolve into pupitar the first evolution. Many have failed this part for they don't understand such a form, even if its has no legs or arms how could they possibly understand. Yet the answer is there and waiting to be found out, for you can't return to Mt. Silver until you obtained a tyranitar.
(Now we get to finally talk about our awesome hero Jojo, YAY!)
It has been six years since he was born and became the chosen one, since he was born under the main branch of the dojo. But unlike the others he was weaker and couldn't keep up for some reason, this outraged his father for having such a weak son so he gave him some advice for his daily training. Joffrey's dad was quite impatient which probably why he nearly failed the trial of the man but what he was known for, was his blood line. His grandfather had once wrestled a Machoke and won, and I guess that inspired his dad to no extent. But anyway as impatient as his father was, he told Joffrey to go to the Mt. silver cave and run there and back. Let me tell yeah that is no easy thing to do, first of all its dark and there are a lot of territorial pokemon. But He didn't get a say in it, and headed off to the cave the next morning. As he was ready to start is little jog a duskull had come out of nowhere and scared the ever living crap out of him which made Joffrey run off into the cave screaming, thus duskull continued to pursue him to get a rise out of him. Being chased by a pokemon was quite frightening specially since he didn't know if it was a pokemon or not but it sure as hell is scary. 5 minutes later he had lost his way in the cave and apparently disturbed some geodude that happened to be hanging on the sides of the cave walls, one had a pretty bad attitude and tackled him onto the ground and began to use rollout on his body which hurt as its stones were almost digging into his skin. The boy then cleverly sidled and against the wall waiting for the rollout to come again, the boy then dodged at the last second causing the geodude slam in the wall causing it pain. Joffrey gave a smug look but then it turned into a worried look the geodude was very angry now and jumped on him again, and it evolved right on top of him. The weight of the pokemon was painful for the stone like boy was actually digging into his skin causing immense pain. The boy screamed in pain, as he was being sat on by a gravler and for 5 hours it sat there on top of him. Until Duskull came to the rescue, which some how heard his screams the boy was growing weaker by the second by the weight of the pokemon on his back. Joffrey pleaded duskull to help, but he couldn't talk well for he was being crushed by so much weight. Duskull then felt the boys pain and gentle heart and decided to help him. With quick reflexes the duskull used psychic and lifted the gravler off of him and sent it flying down the cave and rolled off to who knows where. Duskull checked to see if the boy was ok and it seemed to pay off.
Heading back home it was around night time and duskull was helping him out, since it was quite the walk back to the village. His father and mother were standing at the gates of the village and were very worried about Joffrey for he was torn up quite well, that gravler was definitely anger all right. Months had passed and Joffrey and duskull had been best buddies since, but as well as that seems. Joffrey has developed a great fear of rock type pokemon after the incident and wouldn't even look at or even touch them. It was like double edged scar for him, but as time passed it was getting a bit better. A few years had passed with training here and there, duskull and Joffrey became inseparable, they were like two peas in a pod. In fact Joffrey wanted duskull to be his very first pokemon and decided to catch it, duskull was very happy that he wanted to catch it, that it caught its own self by using psychic. And thus a very valuable friendship was formed.
More years have passed and Joffrey had turned into a strapping young man after all those years of training. *Flashes of his past training ran through his head.* One of those memories was him shirking a lot of his training, or the time when he had used some slight of hand trick to topple a machoke himself (Basically he cheated using a dirty trick). Or the time when he used Duskull to pretend he had psychic powers to get attention. Though there was that one time he snuck out late at night to go see this one girl in the village. Oh such good memories, but today was the day. He stood tall infront of everyone as the Trial of the man was about to begin for him, even though all he wanted to be was a pokemon detective like in the comics he had duskull get from city,that was at the bottom of the mountain. But as the trial began he was presented a pokemon he hadn't seen before even though his village like worshiped them or something. The pokemon was larvitar and from the look of it, it seemed quite brave and ready for battle. Joffrey inched closer to the pokemon and poked its head, in a fast reaction the pokemon stole his hat and then folded its arms while giving a look at him. With great delight and response Joffrey struck a pose himself like the one inside the detective comic, the larvitar was very amused and jumped right into his arms. And this would start the journey on good ties and farewells, but wait is that it, of course not. I don't want to be stuck typing all night because of this, so the story will continue as our 17 year old hero makes his arrival at olvine city where he would travel to The Sinnoh region to seek out enlightenment on the trial of the man.
