Was it wrong to dream?
The woman stared up at the window where the dresses were displayed, hands holding her scarf over her mouth as her eyes ate up the beauty. If only... But no. She knew better. She wasn't allowed to have such things. She wasn't normal. She was a mixbreed of two dangerous creatures, and now expected to live up to certain expectations. Normality was not a right in her world. No matter how many times she would leave her dimension to pretend she could roam these streets, she wasn't allowed in this world.
She was a monster.
A creature made with powers she couldn't control. A creature who caused others to move aside in case she may harm them. A creature denied access to the simplest of needs. Yet, what had she expected in a world where there was a clear line between "normal" and "abnormal"? What had she really thought she'd accomplish when she set foot into the "outsiders" realm? She should have stayed in Cheshire's dimension, or her own. Yet, she was drawn to the world her mother seemed so fond of. A world where neither of her parents were natural inhabitants of. Well, once, in a different lifetime, her father had belonged here, but that was long, long ago. What had she truly thought would change?
But, she couldn't stop herself. She couldn't stop her hands from touching the glass. She couldn't quench the desire deep in her chest. She wanted them. A dress. She wanted to twirl in a beautiful dress. She wanted to hold the hand of someone close to her, like the people on the moving boxes did. She wanted to wrap her arms around someone and not be afraid to rip them into The Abyss.
No. Eris and her were not allowed to have such dreams. The woman's hands lifted off the class, eyes closing firmly as she stepped backwards and swallowed deeply, attempting to rid herself of the childish desires. She should probably go home, hm? That, or get out of sight. Her tail lazily wrapped itself around her hips, attempting sleep as Petra began to walk down the street. Her hands kept her scarf over her mouth, a comforting habit. She might as well leave and go to her father's dimension. She was more a part of that world than this beautiful, unique, and frightening one.

It was nice to get out. Nice to walk around, and maybe converse with others here and there. As long as he was careful not to strain himself with anything nor bump into a female. On the outside he looked so normal and all. Even acted 'normal'. But he himself didn't feel normal, not with this curse of his.
Yuki always did wonder what it would be like if he hadn't been born with this curse of his. For starters he'd be able to hug the gender he was attracted to without turning into a silly little rat. Childhood would have been quite different as well. Akito, the beatings, his 'family' -- That all could have been so different if it wasn't for this darn curse of his.
With a sigh, he looked down to the ground for a moment to allow himself to get lost in thought. Why did he allow the past to haunt him so much? shouldn't he just let it all go? Perhaps he should. But his curse was an everyday reminder of it all. Once he woke up, the first thought on his mind always had to do with his curse, which such a thought led to other thoughts.
He tightly closed his eyes, giving a small shake of his head before opening them back up and returning his gaze to the path ahead of him. And it was a good thing he had looked up at that moment -- He was about to run into another. Gasping in surprise, he quickly halted before making impact with the other.
"Ah, pardon me I... Wasn't watching where I was going." Yuki said in a kind voice as he flashed that princely smile of his at Petra.

To be honest, Petra hadn't ever expected to almost bump into someone. Ever. Most people avoided her, for she held that specific aura of "danger" around her. And yet, her eyes, downcast, had spotted feet, stopping before she bumped into the other, who had also stopped. Red eyes flicked upwards, her bells jingling as she raised her head. Eris, her tail, shifted slightly around her form before lazily falling back into slumber, not too disturbed by the addition of another in her presence.
The woman viewed the other, taking a slight step backwards before shaking her head, lowering it to view the ground once more. Ah. He was normal, and pretty. Bitterness, she felt it piling up already. Normal. Unlike her. Ah... that familiar jealousy rose.
She didn't want to be seen by this normal male. She didn't want to stand before him as a freak. She wanted to head right into the nearest alley and flee. But, she stayed put, knowing enough about manners to respond.
"No. It's okay. It was my fault." For wasn't it? She shouldn't have been here, anyway. She had a place, this wasn't it. Quietly, she stared at the ground, almost wishing to vanish right then and there.

"I don't see how it was your fault." Yuki responded as he flashed that princely smile of his.
The female's appearance didn't catch him off guard or anything of the like. He didn't even feel the need to question why she looked the way she did. For all he knew, she was quite normal. Although her tail was quite a peculiar thing. It had a mouth, sharp black teeth and even a few piercings off its own. Never had the male seen such a thing before.
And they had yet to introduce themselves. Ah, he felt a bit rude for that. "Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Yuki Sohma." He soon introduced himself as he bowed his head a bit.
"And you?"

Petra did not like that smile.
It sent a false sense that, perhaps, she was normal for once. Her tail did not appreciate the male, letting out a lazy growl before returning back to sleep. Petra picked it up, clutching it in her hands as she firmly stared at the ground.
Yuki Sohma. What a normal name.
Petra looked up, briefly, before lowering her head once more. Her mouth clenched slightly. Should she say who she was? No. Her father wouldn't like that... So, instead, the awkward woman rose her tail and looked away.
"This... She is Eris."

His ears twitched as the tail let out a small growl. Though the male thought nothing much of it at the moment. He simply awaited the other to introduce herself.
But upon her introducing her tail instead... His head tilted to the side as a small look of confusion crossed his face. Quickly, that smile of his returned. "Eris? So your tail has a name. That's quite... Unique." This had been the first time he had met someone who had given their tail a name. It was different. Unique.
"But that isn't your name as well, is it?" He inquired, giving a few blinks as a thoughtful look was shown on his face.

Frowning in return, the woman looked down and gripped her sleeping tail quietly. No, it wasn't her name. But she wasn't going to upset her father. Nor was she willing to risk her father being in-danger. Or her mother. Or anyone.... for that matter. Still, she found her name almost spilled from her lips, though they kept firmly shut. She wanted to say it. She wanted to be normal, like any other girl. However, she wasn't.
Normal girls weren't born from a Hell-hound and a Chain, were they?
Shaking her head, it was obvious that Petra had no intention to give her name, head raising to view him quietly. Red eyes flickered, her glowing markings variating from bright to dull. Glancing to the side, briefly, she seemed unsure what to do as her feet shuffled.
"Why do you have two names?"

Yuki watched her with utmost curiosity. It was only then that he caught onto the fact that she was avoiding something. Avoiding giving her name to him. Perhaps; he should no longer pry her for her name? Surely she'd give it to him when she was ready.
Ears twitched, head tilted. "Two names? Well one is my first name, Yuki. And the other is my last, Sohma." But that was common sense... Wasn't it?
"Why do you ask?"

Blinking, the woman glanced up at the male before directing her eyes back towards the ground, ears flicking back.
"I don't understand." She admitted, petting Eris when the creature let out a lazy growl. "Why do you have a first and last? Which one do others call you?" Surnames did not make sense to the woman who, for years, been raised in a dimension where only three people could enter and leave. Her mother and father had one name, or so she thought. Eris had her own name.... did Yuki Sohma have a creature too?
