Azriel walked with high spirits. He had been so absorbed in everything that needed to be taken care of, he had forgotten about the world beyond the Pantheon and its surrounding areas. It was nice to see that the world was healing. As he surveyed the surrounding hills, his eyes caught on a particular head of chestnut hair. Smiling to himself, he made his way to Talia's side and fell in step beside her.

"How are you doing? Are you managing that pack alright?" he asked, glancing to her back to quickly inspect her rucksack.

Isambard was in high spirits too, they were on a mission, an adventure. He clearly hated sitting still and so an adventure was right up his street. Especially as it might mean more resources and a chance to scout out the lands beyond the Pantheon. He was walking at the front of the group with Cyrus beside him, with them they had Azriel, the doctor and some of the strongest men carrying tools they might need to get to the remote community.

Talia looked up as Azriel approached and smirked a little at his concern.
"I'm fine." She replied. "I might be a woman but I'm not feeble." The fact that she was the only woman along for the ride had not escaped her attention.

Az gave a little laugh and turned his eyes back to hers.
"I was certainly not suggesting that," he grinned and shifted his own pack. "You are anything but feeble. I just thought it was polite to ask," he smirked and turned his eyes forward to their leader.

"I'm really glad you agreed to come along. It's nice to have someone to pester," he grinned.

Cyrus walked beside Isambard, his eyes constantly scanning their surroundings. He had spent many years travelling the world and he had seen many of its dangers, both old and new.
"What if we are unable to get through the collapse she described?" he asked his lord. Originally he would have been more than happy to be out and about, but he had become rather consumed with Elora and he was anxious to get back to her despite having only been gone three days now.

"Great, out of the ten people here I get the priviledge of being pestered." She teased, giving him a bit of a grin. She was certainly pleased to at least have someone along that she felt comfortable with. The god made her uneasy, his huge right hand man even more and she did not know any of the other men.

Isambard looked up to his companion. Failure was very rarely an option with him and certainly not something he considered before it happened.
"That is one reason I brought you along, we might need a bit of that magic of yours. We will get through, or at least find a way around it."

Az grinned and nodded.
"You better believe it. Isambard is only somewhat fun to mess around with, Cyrus has the sense of humor of a stick, and I've got to keep up appearances with these fellows," he smirked and nodded his head towards the others. "So that makes you the winner of my torment," he joked.

Cyrus breathed in deeply and nodded. He really hoped that clearing the pathway would not take long. In his mind, that seemed to be the biggest obstacle. As they came over the crest of a hill, he narrowed his eyes.
"That looks like a road over there," he gestured with his large hand.

Talia laughed and looked at the road ahead.
"Well i will have to think of some way to keep you entertained won't I. Or for you to entertain me. I'm sure you are full of stories."

Isambard followed the direction of the gesture with his eyes and nodded.
"You're right, it looks like a real road, a well constructed one." he followed it with his eyes, it went up and disappeared over a hill. "Looks like a sensible direction to head. We might find a place to stop for the night."

Az laughed a little and nodded.
"Yes. I imagine that I am full of stories," he grinned and gave her a wink. "I bet you are just as full of them as well."

Cyrus nodded in agreement and then glanced over his shoulder to the mortals behind them. He imagined that they would need rest soon.
"Would you like for me to scout ahead my lord?" he asked.

"Perhaps." She answered coyly, though she imagined her stories would be boring compared to his. Depressing even.

"Please." Isambard replied, in answer to Cyrus' question. Anything could be over the hill, paradise or a huge pitt of nothing.

Cyrus bowed to Isambard before melting into a swirl of smoke. Reappearing on the distant hilltop, he had to blink. Before him was a town, possibly even a small city, though time and the elements had ravaged it. Nature was reclaiming what must have once been a thriving community. Surveying the area, his eyes caught on the familiar smokestacks of factories. Those were a welcome sight. They might find some things of interest in decimated town.

Smiling to himself, he disappeared once more and reappeared beside Isambard.
"There is a town over the hill. It was rather developed at one point," he announced to him.

Isambard halted the group whilst he waited for Cyrus to scout the area out, his eyes on the hill that the path disappeared over.
Cyrus reappeared not long after, with words that were encouraging.
"Excellent, we will camp there tonight." He declared, knowing the mortals would need a rest, him included, he was still in a mortal body of course.
"But everyone be on guard, there might still be danger lurking there."

Az breathed in deeply as the djinn declared there was a town ahead and Isambard said they would be stopping there. He was flooded with memories of the destruction that had once been a part of his life. He did not want to see this town, but he knew it would be potentially the safest place for them to camp, as long as they were smart about it. He suspected that the djinn would be very smart about their stopping there. Looking to Talia, he gave her a small smile.
"This should be interesting," he said to her, then turned his eyes up to Isambard. "Did Maia mention a town in her travels?"

Talia nodded at his assumption and kept her eyes peeled on entering the destoryed town. It was like a war zone, dead, but not without danger. There could be survivors lurking, waiting for people like them to wander through.

"She did mention a town." Isambard confirmed. "Though I don't think she stopped here. Cyrus, check it out for us, make sure it's safe and actually abandoned. It might be worth looking for equipment we can take back."

Cyrus nodded and disappeared once more. Reappearing in the center of the town. Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes and sent out his power in all directions. There were little blips of life, though they felt animalistic in nature compared to the group of travelers. As far as he could tell, there were no large, intelligent beings in the surrounding area. Deciding to take his time, he wandered through the streets towards his companions and he took the time to examine the small town. It had once been a thriving place. The people had lived in comfort. When he finally rejoined with the rest, he gave Isambard a small smile.
"There is no one here my lord, but there is certainly a wealth of supplies that have been left behind."

Isambard waited with the others for Cyrus to return, when he brought good news he returned the djinn's smile.
"Exellent, Azriel, Talia. find us somewhere good to camp. Cyrus, you come with me, we'll see what we can find." They could make notes now and then return on their way back to the town to collect anything that might be good to take back with them.

Cyrus was glad to be rid of the mortals for a few moments. It was not that he had anything against them, mortals in general were not his favourite beings to spend his time with. Their infant views of the world grated a bit. As they parted ways with the rest of the camp, Cyrus fell into step with Isambard.
"The factories were over there, by the river," he announced and pointed where a smokestack could be seen above the city buildings.
