He hadn't left Rin. He had stayed there when she woke up, already awake, and after being examined, collected her things and escorted back to his room. Aside from scaring, the bald head, and some bandages, she was much better than the day before. Still, it was evident that she had been badly hurt, and he only touched her lightly, if at all.
When they came to his room, he helped her inside. What probably should have been welcoming by being back out of a sterile hospital room, instead was probably worse. Melvin had, in the time he had to wait for Rin to be examined and cleaned up by the Lifers before he was even allowed to be in the same room with her, cleaned up his entire room. Now normally this wasn't unusual. Melvin's room was always spotless, but it was now perfect. Everything was painstakingly alined, cleaned, polished, and wiped down. There was the smell of bleach and cleaning supplies, even stronger than just the faint touch from before. The bedspread with perfectly aligned, with Allan set perfectly in line on the pillows. Even the shoes by the door had their soles cleaned free of dirt.
Shutting the door behind, he helped Rin out of her coat. "Do you want to take a nap or anything? I can go get you something to eat if you want." He waited for instructions.

"Um... no, I've slept enough lately... um..." Rin lingered by the doorway. Something seemed. Off. But she couldn't quite put her finger on it. She relinquished her coat to him and entered anyway. "Very clean."

He took her coat and went over to a nearby chair, working to fold it neatly. At her comment, he glanced over his shoulder. "Uh..yeah. I had to wait until they moved you to your room so....I had time." He had to be occupied, and this was the best way for it. His room had been a complete mess before.
He pressed the coat sleeves until they lined up parallel to the lapels and smoothed out the creases before setting it neatly on the chair. Turning around, he regarded her again. "I charged up my tablet at the lab, if you want to play with that or something." He drummed his fingers on the back rest of the chair he stood beside.

"Actually, I had other activities in mind?" She eyed him over thoughtfully.

He continued to lightly drum his fingers on the back of the chair. "I...don't think we should be doing that right now. You should be taking it easy." His fingers stopped drumming to simply hold the back of the chair, looking down to check on the wood grain before looking back up to her.

Rin raised a brow, "I'm perfectly healthy. I rested enough. I know my body best..."

He continued to stay where he was. "...well...I'm a little tired so....." He wished she would have just taken the offer to sleep. "...maybe later?"

He glanced at the door and then back at her. "Just a shower?" He had to be clear, as they tended to codename another activity under that word.

Rin's eyebrows fell and she immediately squinted at him. "Why would you need me to specify?"

"I just told you. I'm tired." He said, gripping the chair. "Do you want a shower?"

"Yes I do." Her squinting relaxed a bit, but this matter isn't dropped.

"Alright." He then went over and grabbed their things from the cadey, some towels, and then gestured to the door to let her out. He'd just get undressed when he got to the showers and put his things in one of the lockers. "I can change your bandages if you want once we're done." He informed her.

"Good idea," Rin agreed about the bandages but she was still watching him. She watched him as he got them, watched him as they walked there, watched him once they arrived and watched him get ready for the shower. All with a hint of suspicion.

He only saw Rin watching as either her still being interested in the previous proposal, or because she was waiting on him to help her. While she seemed capable to getting ready by herself, he didn't stop her from looking over. Undressing, he put his things away into a locker, and then made sure the bandage at his neck was secure. Once done, he wrapped a towel around his waist, moved their things over, and went over to help Rin.
"Do you need help?" He asked her.
