The day was as young as the Autumn that graced the land. In an area particularly well thought of by trainers, Kyllian scanned the area, trying his best to find the best place to pick some food from! If he tried the big, cute guy act, he might be able to snag some choice Poke' food before bailing out before another one of those little snots could try to catch him.
He crept, as well as he could on two stocky legs, around a tent and tried to look for the best place to start. Why were there so many? And what was with all of the pumpkins? And brightly colored human food? Ahh, a dragonite! He snarled and snapped his jaws, only to find out with some dismay that it wasn't a dragonite at all, but a small human! How odd...

It had been just before dawn when the pumpkaboo had wandered into the big patch of pumpkins. This was perfect! Kole blended right in as he settled among the other average sized pumpkins to rest for the day.
However, he woke to feeling himself getting picked up.
"Mommy! Mommy! I want this one!"
What?! Kole poked his head out to see who was moving him. He looked up into the shocked face of a small witch, who screamed in surprise. He yelped as he was dropped and hit the ground, fluttering his little wings to try getting upright again. What was going on?! Why was his pumpkin patch on that ledge up there? Why was the witch grabbing him? He waddled his way under the table that held his patch and frowned. It was too bright out...

Kyllian watched the whole scene play out. Why did the little witch want the black pump- Oh, woah! That was another Poke'mon! Super saver superhero mode activated, he burst onto the scene, all jaws and teeth, watching as the little witch screamed once more. He snapped his mighty jaws at all who tried to peep underneath the table, and satisfied that the area was clear, he peeped underneath the table.
At first, he gave a questionable growl, looking over the odd little round thing. Maybe it was a pumpkin, but it had a face. Was it one of those mechanic human pumpkins? Kyllian stepped closer, sticking his face in as close as possible....

Kole shuffled further back as a few more strange creatures tried getting closer looks at him. He squeaked as a set of hands reached out, slipping back into his pumpkin.
Another set of screams pulled him curiously from his home though, looking with wide eyes at the new arrival. It had scared all the scary things away! This one was helping him! His wings fluttered lightly to show his appreciation. As the strange pokemon crept closer, Kole leaned forward as well, reaching his curly stem out to inspect the big face in front of him.

Kyllian smiled, and scuttled his thick legs underneath the table to get closely still. It's stem felt so weird, but cool, at the same time. "Are you okay?" He asked. To a human, it would have sounded like a litany of growls and bits of his own language, but to another Poke'mon the words would be clear as a bell.
Kyllian turned his head, well aware that the humans had come closer to the table and were murmuring something to themselves. He shook his head, and snorted, swinging his tail out behind him. Humans; too nosy for their own good!

Kole continued inspecting the big pokemon curiously, his stem gliding across the touch skin. At the question, his stem perked upright. "Yes," he replied, his own word sounding like a soft little squeak to the humans.
"They're talking, daddy! How cute!" "Are they friends?" "Can I take them both home?" "That one was on the table. It's for sale, right?" "Are there more pumpkaboos here?" "I want the tyrunt!" "Don't! That one tried to bite me! Chase them away!"
Kole glanced back at the surrounding humans, and shuffled away again. "They're scary," he murmured, looking to the larger pokemon hopefully.

"That's good." Kyllian nodded, trying his best to show his own form of a smile. He rose into a taller standing position, turning this way and that to see the humans. Subconsciously he moved closer to the Pumpkaboo. Humans put him on edge, and despite the size difference he was using Kole as a shield, all the while trying to keep up the appearance of protecting him.
"Did you call anyone? They're wild!" "But daddy, I waaannnnttt them!"
Kyllian turned down to Kole and nodded. "I don't like them. They're nothing, but liars." He frowned. "We should leave."

Kole's stem twitched, and his wings curled in. Liars? ...That wasn't good. "Leave," he murmured in agreement. Suddenly, he noticed another child reaching for the tyrunt's tail. In a burst of bravery, he did a little hop forward and flapped his wings as wide and fast as he could. The child yelped in surprise and fell back on his butt as his mother scooped him up with a scolding voice.
The chatter of the humans grew more concerning, and Kole shuffled back to his new pal's side. "We go now?" he asked, partially tucking himself back into his pumpkin home nervously.

Ah! Oh no! But..the Pumpkaboo, it saved him! In a flurry he stepped forward, snorting and growling, clawing the ground with his talons to make a point. They were not to be messed with! Not by humans!
"Yep, we better! How fast can you...fly? Run?" He tried to tilt his head to see if the other Poke'mon had legs or not, but he couldn't be sure. An anxious adult peered until the table at the two the same time the tyrunt was looking at the Pumpkaboo. The two locked eyes and the adult scrambled back onto his feet, saying something in the human language to the others.

Looking at the human warily, Kole returned his attention to the tyrunt. "....I dunno." He hadn't had a reason to move very fast yet. They would find out though. He didn't like the tone of the human voices now... Tiny little legs sent him waddling out from under the table away from the humans, and he winced as he ended up in the sunlight again. Ugh... He gave a few flutters of his wings, which seemed to help propel him forward. Immediately, he started looking for someplace shaded to hide.

Kyllian set out after Kole, looking warily around him as he slipped away from the table. What was-? Lan sakes, was the pumpkin thing allergic to the sun or something?! He looked like a chubby leaf, fluttering about like that.
"I don't think they're here anymore, daddy, they're really quiet-"
He stilled and craned his head, trying to get as much of a view as he could without giving away their position. "Quick, go go." The tyrunt came in close to Kole, urging him on as best he could without actually touching him.

At the tyrunt's command, Kole kicked his tiny legs faster, and fluttered his wings quicker. Of course, he couldn't do this without rustling all the dry leaves he passed. "Where are we going?"
The noise caught the attention of one little boy, who came around the table for a peek. "I found 'em!" he yelled happily, giving chase with delight.
"Kyllian!" Kole let out his little squeal of warning and beat his little wings so hard that he actually lifted about a foot off the ground as he flew along.

"Far away from here." Kyllian grunted. "I have a den close by, if you'd like to crash until dark." Oh jeez, couldn't he move a little quie-
"Cheese it!" If they didn't beat out of here quick, that kid was going to get them, and worse; he might even have a Poke'ball on him! Thinking fast, Kyllian looked around, and spotted a little wagon. Without even waiting to thinking the plan through, he took off at a dead run towards it, snatched the handle up in his mouth and did a sideways gallop back to Kole, dropping the handle long enough to snap at the approaching child. "Get in!"

With his mind spinning as fast as his wings were fluttering, he was at a loss of what to do other than what instinct dictated. Go, go, go!!
Kyllian's call managed to get his attention, and he dropped back to the ground in shock. He'd... been flying!! He didn't have long to think on it though, heading quickly over to the little wagon and hopping right in. "I'm in!" he squeaked, looking back at the child fearfully, and wincing at the light he was in again. "Let's go to your cave!"
The child slowed when the tyrunt snapped at him, but kept on coming. "Dad! Dad! Lookit this!" he called as other humans finally caught on and started heading their way as well.

Kyllian didn't have time to look back. He'd already seen more than one mature human bring out a camera, which meant they would surely swarm. They had to go, go, go! "Hold on!"
He scooped up the handle in his mouth, gripped it as tight as he could without snapping it and ran! Moving with his head to the side was tricky business, and Kyllian tripped over a good many twigs and rocks, but he didn't stop. He couldn't! The humans were too close! He ran towards the tents, keen on getting back to where he'd entered when a gaggle of them appeared and he had to take a sharp turn.
