Real Name?: Catera. She goes by Capricorn because she hates her given name.

Race: Vampire
Fears: Losing one of her companions; that her past will come back to haunt her.
Likes: The rain, reading.
Dislikes: Solitude, ignorance.
Habits: Waking up at the crack of dawn, shutting herself up in her study for hours on end.
Personality: Capricorn has faced problems in the past due to her race, and finds it hard to trust people. Once she does, however, you've got a friend for life... and if her demons trust you, you might as well be golden. Capricorn is relatively friendly besides this, and tries harder then anything to put her past behind her. Good-natured and neighborly to any visitors that happen by her home, to most outsiders she just appears to be a single woman living in a large house. Most are confused when they see strange tracks littering the sands of the beach strip.
She lost her thirst for blood long ago, and from that gained the ability to walk in sunlight. She doesn't tan and just burns quickly, so she spends her time outside in the early morning and late evening instead when the sun is less intense.
The stretch of time during the war was incredibly hard on her; her demons had become her family and the stability in her life and to have them suddenly gone was mental torture. To have her soul split so many times and then suddenly feel the absence of them all was like each fragment was gone in a way her brother simply couldn't understand. Even with most of them returned to the safety of their home Capricorn often suffers through long, sleepless nights and stretches of crippling depression.
These days Beau is nearly a service animal with how much time she spends at her side, and although some days are inherently worse than others she continues to try to grasp for recovery.
On the house: When Beau came into her life Capricorn moved away from her family's home turf and to a house on the sea. Although extraordinarily large for a single person to reside in, she must have had some sense of things to come. Fields of dune grass stretch for at least a mile in any direction around the house. On a good day the only thing you can hear is the sound of waves crashing against the cliffs and rolling upon sandy beaches. A generally quiet residence, it is a welcome haven to all demons whether they are bound to the home's owner or not.

Personality: Beau is like a mother figure to the rest of the demons following Capricorn. She's relaxed and gentle, and rarely gets angry. Patient and caring, she's not afraid to take the time to put up with any younger demons that she's around. She was Capricorn's first winiko, and isn't afraid to let younger ones know that. Beau has dedicated her existence to protecting the vampire from whatever gets thrown their way. Now that she's slightly older, Beau acts as the welcoming party in the household when a new demon arrives. She is the only one of Capricorn's winiko that sleeps on the master's bed to always keep a watchful eye on her.
Beau and Captain are life mates; where one is found, the other isn't too far off. When they first met, Beau was a tad oblivious to how the war veteran was trying to express his love, but she soon figured it out and realized that she felt the same in return. Being around him for so long, she's become accustomed to his emotions and it isn't hard for her to read his face or tone 'like an open book'. She knows every one of his moods inside-out, and never has anything but a soft word for him.
When they returned from the Inbetween, Beau didn't leave Capricorn's side for a week. They are deeply bonded in a way most can't understand, and these days she spends the majority of the time in her company. When her bonded inevitably wakes in the night she's there, taking up her place on the bed to soothe her.

Personality: Captain is an ornery demon- he doesn't like much else aside from Beau. He's quick to make assumptions about others, so the first impression on him is incredibly important. If he acknowledges you at all, that is. He has a tongue made for sarcasm, and it's likely if you ever cross his path he'll use it more than once upon you. The scars over his eye came from another winiko... though he's not likely to divulge the story. Now that's he's older, he has lost some of his cold attitude, but is still highly protective of his family and judgmental of those he does not know.
Captain and Beau are life mates; where one is, the other usually isn't too far off. Captain arrived soon after Beau's summoning, and immediately was stricken with the female. However, due to his usual demeanor, he often found it hard to express himself towards her. When she finally realized that his sharpness was a sign of affection, she gladly returned the sentiment and the two were inseparable from then on. The war-veteran has a contained sense of emotion, but he still loves her more than himself; he would throw himself to protect her in a heartbeat without a thought of his own safety.

Fears: That he will be powerless to help lift the sadness and despair of the world; that it will be a warm, snowless winter.

Personality: Carefree and outgoing. Aldes was Capricorn's first winiko to grow up in her presence, rather than Captain and Beau, who were both summoned as adults. Having grown up during the holiday season, the idea of spreading cheer and good tidings seems to have rubbed off on him... though perhaps growing up around Beau also had something to do with it. He looks at her as an older sister, and loves being able to play around with her..
Aldes is the demon that keeps Capricorn's sanity in check, and keeps her from being a jerk. He's prone to gently n** at her when her temper starts to get out of check. He's tried this on other winiko before, but he doesn't exactly get the same reaction. With a hide like a seal, he is the only one of her demons that is daring enough to go swimming in the dead of winter. Once the first snow falls, he can be found daily running up and down the shoreline, in and out of waves, and just generally outside. The only time he gets cold is when he's sick, and that's not often. Highly tolerant of noise and general disturbances, Aldes seems to get along with the majority of Capricorn's younger (and rowdier) winiko.

Personality: The spitting image of her father, in more ways than one. "Lieu" is daddy's little girl, and his right hand girl. With a mouth to match and even rival her father's Lieu is sarcastic, snide, and sometimes quite mean. She doesn't like people that do obnoxious things, and just likes to be wherever Captain is. She doesn't like to mind her mother's words about kindness to everyone and loving the world, and would much rather just spend her time bad-mouthing those she doesn't see equal to herself with her father.
Though she can stick up for herself, Captain is incredibly protective of this one- be wary if you dare approach. Though she appreciates her family, she picks on her siblings just as she would pick on anyone else. Though she won't admit it, it's usually for their own good; she thinks that it will make them stronger. Even as an adult she's Captain's favorite, and can usually slip out of any tough situation by hiding behind him. Her favorite spot in the beach house is the fourth floor balcony, a usually quiet place where the sun beats down and offers a prime spot for mid-afternoon naps.

Personality: Boundless energy. A ball of fits and giggles, Belle is everything her mother is- and more. There's nothing she doesn't like; if someone is mean to her, she tries to figure out exactly why they're mean. She doesn't care for age, gender, color- completely oblivious to it all. The 'perfect' demon, so to speak. She loves fairy tales, especially the ones about knights in armor, and constantly wants Capricorn to read to her. She's also quite ticklish, and will be amused for quite some time if you can catch her belly.
She loves to meet other demons, and will never once reject friendship from any- no matter if they've been rude to her in the past or not. While first impressions mean a lot, Belle is willing to let things go and give others another chance. Belle can get frustrated when others beat themselves up and don't respond to the help she offers, but she'll try time and time again until they shoo her away or give in to her words. She is of the same belief that Capricorn has; all demons have a purpose in life that they must fulfill. If they chose not to do that, then they have no other purpose then to feed off of their bonded's soul. If they decide that they will do just that job, then no matter what it is they are right and can live in harmony with the rest of the world around them. She hates to see others in pain and will do her best to rescue them from whatever it is.

Personality: Quiet but gentle. Though one would look at him and be afraid, Azrael is not violent at all. He generally likes to sit on the outskirts of conversation and activity. He is not socially inept, and is really quite sophisticated in his manner of speech. For the most part, he isn't rude to those he doesn't particularly like; he'll make his opinion of them clear, but in a more subtle sort of way.
When thrown into a social situation, Azrael will usually become shy or tongue-tied. He is slowly adapting to the social aspect of existing, but still stumbles over his words and phrasing at some moments. Lolita has shown him, however, that there's no need for him to be afraid to communicate with others. He loves his family more than anything, and wouldn't hesitate to lay down his life for either his mate or his offspring.

Personality: Quirky and energetic; overall, quite the strange one. It would appear, at first glance, that he has multiple personalities, but that's not the case. "Val" is a completely normal demon; you could just say that he's got a screw or two loose. He is extremely passionate about art, and loves to help foster creativity among others. Not easily bored, he's always able to find something to stick his face into and get involved in. Generally sweet-natured and charming, he's very slow to anger.
Val has a soft spot for babies- he loves newborn winiko, and will put down whatever he's doing to play with one. He has a fondness for mind games and riddles, and occasionally speaks in questions in order to confuse and play with whoever's nearby.

Personality: Calm, relaxed, carefree. Caden enjoys life, and doesn't let anything get in the way of it. His name translates from Celtic to "spirits of battle", but the only battle he's truly interested is between the sexes. He is charming and gentlemanly to females, no matter their age- endearing to children and flirtatious towards most adults. A sweet and affectionate fellow, he tries not to "love 'em and leave 'em" as most males with his personality seem to do, though usually fails. He's not dumb, and can tell when a situation needs care and not charm; if he comes across a female in a mood of sorts, he'd rather just be someone to talk to then tick her off being his usual self.
Gambling is a bit of a weak point to him, and although he tries his best to avoid it when he can, he usually can't help but to play. Caden does love to play games- especially those that he can win. Challenge him to a race or something competitive, and chances are he'll take you up on your offer.

Habits: Raiding the fridge, getting distracted, being loud.

Personality: Vivid, bright, and enthusiastic. Malagueño lives life to it's fullest day by day. He tries to spread passion for life and everything about it to whoever he talks to, and hates seeing people that are crabby and depressed with themselves. It is rare to catch him on a bad day; he usually only gets upset when it is too rainy or cold to go outside.
Among Capricorn's winiko, he and Aldes get along the best- even though the older demon prefers the snow, he's often willing to go and play with Malagueño. Malagueño loves spicy foods, and won't hesitate to gobble down whatever is lying around in the refrigerator. He particularly likes curry, and can be easily bribed for even a mouthful of the stuff. He often helps Capricorn keep the house neat and tidy, and will rearrange the furniture and pick up after most of the house's denizens.

Fears: When spring comes the snow won't melt.
Habits: Wandering off, being sarcastic.
Mate: Kayin
Offspring: Kanika, River, Styx
Personality: Vienna has a terrible attention span... she can be totally interested in something one moment, then flopping down to take a nap the next. The key to her heart is the ocean, which is likely why Capricorn was able to get her to bond to her.
Vienna can be snippy at times, even when she's in a good mood- sarcastic or snide comments from her usually shouldn't be taken seriously. Most of the time she's only joking around. Aside from that, this elder is generally laid-back and relaxed; completely chill. She just likes to enjoy life as it comes instead of running from one place to another like some of the other winiko in the house. Usually she can be found on the ground floor deck sunning herself, or down on the beach swimming in the sea.
Although she made it through the war unscathed with both of her offspring in tow, Vienna deeply misses Kayin and Kanika. She's good at hiding it, but she desperately hopes that they survived.

Personality: Knightly. It would seem that he got the best of his parent's traits; Cavalier is devoted to those he cares about beyond belief, but he still has the gentle kindness of his mother. However, even though he cares of those around him, he often distances himself from friends and family, feeling that he can protect them better that way. Even with that, he has a somewhat upbeat exterior that is only rarely let down. Inside, he is lonely, no matter how many people he surrounds himself with.
Though he isn't mean in any way, Cavalier can come off snippy at times, only because he isn't sure how to react. Once he falls into a 'mood' of sorts, only those closest to him are able to pull him out of it. He'd stop to help some one in need in a heart beat, but that doesn't mean he'll stick around for long afterward. A pacifist at heart, he'd just as soon hurt himself rather than harm another.

Personality: A tad bit bitter. The war was hard on Kaja, and there was a long stretch of time where she had disappeared in the Inbetween and was thought to be lost. After months of searching the other demons had finally given up hope that she survived. When the winter came, however, the demon reappeared with the first snows as if brought on by the storm. She fought with the ferocity of any blizzard and did not rest until her family was safe from harm.
When it was all over, it appeared that Kaja had conquered her childhood habits of spouting quotes of history. Instead she became withdrawn and quiet, only speaking when it was absolutely necessary. No one is quite sure what transpired while she was lost.

Personality: Sassy. River is laid back and doesn't let anything get to her. She's not overly friendly, but if you know how she works then it's not hard to get on her good side. Those snobby, stuck up girls at school? That's River. Nothing fazes her, and harsh comments thrown in her direction usually don't even make her blink. Incredibly laid back, she's more likely to respond to a snide remark with a 'that's what your mom said' comment. Those that can appease the little brat are granted the ability to converse with her at their leisure. Well, at her leisure, really. She's bossy and full of sass, truly only obeying mommy and daddy dearest.
Though on the surface she may appear prissy and appearance-obsessed, River rather likes trying to play the tomboy of the family. She seems to get bored with the role after a while, though, reverting back to her 'I'm a princess' attitude. She and Lieutenant have similar attitudes and actually seem to get along the best of all Capricorn's winiko. However, River's true friendship and love lie in her brother and sister.
