Something was different, and it wasn't the obvious fact that their moon was still locked away in a shroud of darkness. Eternal Sailor Tsui wasn't quite sure what this feeling in her gut was when she transformed and set out on her patrol this evening, and she was certain that it had nothing to do with the leftovers that Anandi gave her. Anticipation? Butterflies? If so, over what? Tsui wasn't really the type for deep thinking and soothsaying, so she figured that whatever the culprit of this feeling would simply have to be investigated over simply guessing.

Despite the dangers that lurked in the streets and her own mysterious shade that had yet to make an attempt against her, Tsui took to the streets, waiting until Jacob had finally gone to sleep before taking the chance to sneak away. As much as she wanted to see her baby brother, she wasn't too keen on the idea of him staying with them during the whole Shade chaos, but she figured it was out of their control by now. It's not like these monsters were polite enough to leave a fair warning...

Luckily, Maddy's overprotective ways prevented her from going out, thus sparing Tsui from having to play hero. The thought was mildly entertaining, and it was almost enough to make her chuckle, as she moved about the streets on her own. A foolish act, considering her shade could be lurking anywhere, but Tsui could not just sit idly by and allow the dangers that threatened her city to run amok, especially if her shade was one of them. Maybe this was the cause of her unease? Maybe she'd finally meet up with her shade?

Or was there something else? She made her way towards the library, a familiar building and likely to offer her some work, as she was certain that there were students of many kind that might be needing protection from the various brands of evil that lurked around every corner of this city. Despite all appearances, there was always something interesting at the library.

Sorry for the late start... I hope this is okay?

No worries!

Tony was standing on the top of the library, looking out over the city before his patrol started. He was still getting used to powering up into his new stage, but that was not really what was on his mind at the moment. He leaned on the railing, his eyes traveling from the city scape to the cast on his wrist.

His wife was not going to be happy, knowing he was powering up and patrolling while his wrist was broken, but there were worse things. He could be doing what his son was doing, for example, and patrolling on his broken leg.

The Darrow boys did not like to be bed ridden, that much seemed to be consistent.

Tony sighed and decided it was worth the risk, and closed his eyes. He powered up and felt the rush of power that came with his Templar rank, opening his eyes and looking down at himself, shaking his head. The cape would take a bit of getting used to. It was heavier than his other stages. Taking a breath, he leaped from the roof and dropped down to the street below, feeling a senshi's aura nearby and managing not to leap almost directly on top of it like he had done last time.

He looked up and saw Tsui approaching as he got to his feet, and he smiled warmly to see her. The last time they met had not been a very good moment, and he was glad to see her looking healthier now. He lifted his hand to wave.

"Good evening!"

The aura that hit her senses was potent, and it was hard to not want to do a double take when she spotted the figure behind the red cape. There was no doubt as to who it was, and his named managed to escape her lips before her mind every had the time to process what she was looking at. "Camelot! You know it's not nice to try to sneak up on people like that..."

Then the words fell dead on her lips, though that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Realizing that he was the source of the power spike she felt just seconds ago, Tsui's golden eyes went wide with surprise, and the look on her face would have likely opened her up to a joke later on, but she had no control over herself when it came to reacting to such a change. And what exactly about Camelot had changed, outside of the appearance?

Well, he seemed stronger, despite the cast on the hand he waved, and with no filter between the brain and her mouth, the Tiger senshi approached Camelot, looking ready to explode from excitement as she rambled on. "Woah, you've changed! In a good way, too! You got more sweet looking armor and that cape makes you look like a royal knight! Are you... oh, what's it called, I don't know what it's called. But you know, the equivalent to a Princess, or a General-King? What should I call you? Sir Camelot or Lord Camelot?"

She wanted to ask how it happened, what happened to his hand, so many things, but she tried not to bombard him all at once. She didn't want to overwhelm the knight... or Knight-King? Or Lord-Knight... "When did you score the upgrade?"

Camelot watched her with a bashful look on his face, literally seeing the realization of his new power sinking in to her expression and not sure how to take it. He was embarrassed and proud at once, but he didn't want to act on either emotion. Instead, he laughed and rubbed the back of his neck.

"I'm a Templar," he said, as she struggled to figure out what to call him. "But you don't have to call me sir or lord, or any of that. I am still the Knight I was, pledged to serve the Senshi and those that need aid. I am ever a loyal servant of the White Moon, nothing more than that." He bowed his head a bit, smiling with the gallant gesture and looking like something off a romance novel cover.

"Ah, but yes. In power, I think my rank is now equivalent to a Princess or a General King," so said the GK he had been fighting at the time of his power up, and he knew it was a fair enough assessment. As far as he knew, he was the only Templar in Destiny City so far, but now that one had appeared he did not doubt for a moment that there would be more.

"I didn't power up too long ago, it was during a fight with General King Zinkenite. I was trying to protect my family, and he wanted to corrupt me. The power awakened in me, and spared me that fate. Instead, I became this." He would be eternally grateful for the escape, as well, as he would rather be killed than corrupted.

"But, ah. How are you doing? Are you healing well since the last time we saw one another?"

Tsui might not have been the brightest crayon in the box, but she could tell that he was taking her over enthusiastic gawking with a hint of humility, so she tried to back off. She never understood how anyone so powerful could be so bashful when someone else was openly admiring them, but then again, she may have fallen onto the arrogant side. Somewhere among her admiration and excitement, there may have been a sliver of envy as well, but she tried her best to keep that part locked away, figuring that would only make things more awkward for the Templar-Knight. "You're a better man than me, then, Camelot. If I'd have that power, I might enjoy it a little too much. But none of that Princess stuff... maybe I'd go with Queen?"

She gave the notion a thought, before immediately shooting it down. "Ah, who am I kidding? Then I'd have to wear this frilly dress and then how'd I fight with that? No, you totally deserve it, Camelot. I'm certain of it!"

She admired him for his humility at times, and she listened to his account of his promotion with rapt attention, glancing at his hand and taking a wild guess as to how he obtained such an injury. The retelling of how Zinkenite tried to corrupt him made her openly wince, not wanting to imagine the thought of anyone placing their hand inside her own chest against after her encounter with Painite, but it was good to hear that Camelot's story had a much more fulfilling ending. "That showed him! I've only met him once and half his face was covered, but I can imagine the look of surprise on his face. What I'd give to have seen such an expression!"

Better yet, that seemed like a bad idea. Her last encounter with Zinkenite only ended well for her because he felt some inkling of pity for her, so it might have been for the best that she'd not try to invoke his wrath again. As confident in her abilities as she was, a fight with a General-King wasn't a good idea from any angle...

"Oh, my noggin's doing a whole lot better. No memory loss, well, nothing worth remembering anyways, though I seem to still have a knack for trouble," Tsui said, tapping the back of her head and trying not to relive said injury he had asked about. Not only did she have an injury to worry about, but Jacob had one hell of a fever and just a lot of unwanted feelings of stress and worrying all around. Not the best of times for Tsui, nor Gwendolyn. "Um, how did the thing go with Dallol? Everything okay on that end?"

"I don't think I'd much like anyone calling me Queen Camelot," he said with a light laugh, teasing her and himself just to ease the situation. He didn't want her to feel bad for how excited she was, and he knew that other people reacted to power and rank with much more gusto than he did. He was a humble sort, but he was determined and he would use his power for whatever he could, to help the White Moon, the senshi, and his fellow knights.

He was also glad he did not have a frilly dress to fight in. He saw what the Princesses got, and of course they were ladies and it was different for them, but still. He had seen some males get high heels and skirts as well, so who knew what was possible? He was the first templar: anything could have happened.

Thankfully, though, he just got really cool armor. And a crystal sword. And a big shield.

He did not want to gloat about the battle with Zinkenite, though. It had been far too close, and a stroke of luck had saved him. But he had managed to protect his son, and get out of there with his life. He felt bad for what had happened to Linarite, and hoped she was not too badly injured, but it had all happened so fast there was precious little he could do about it.

He was glad to see that Tsui was back to fighting form, though, chuckling and nodding his head.

"Dallol seems to be in one piece. I'm going to be checking in with her a few more times, just to make sure. I can't help but worry about you all, and the reach Chaos has. I'd hate to lose any of you to them, more than we already have. I'm just going to make sure they didn't give her any ideas... I don't know what was going on when I arrived, but we'll see."

"What? Nothing wrong with the title Queen! Not sure why so many prefer princess over queen anyway. Guess it's the whole fairy tale thing," Tsui said, realizing she was rambling and trying her best to keep a lid on her excitement, even when a little voice in her head told her it was perfectly acceptable to be excited about such a thing. Camelot had earned it and if he wasn't going to be head over heels over the idea, then someone had to be.

As much as she wanted to hear the story of how the fight went down, Tsui was willing to concede. If Camelot wanted to go into the details, he would and she'd be happy to listen. However, the topic of Dallol and their last encounter was a good alternative. "Dallol meant well, I think. She just got tricked by that silver-tongued officer, that's all. It's so easy to fall for their lies sometimes... but then they'll always show their true face eventually, just... sometimes too late."

Tsui heard Camelot's concerns and immediately scoffed at the notion, though she didn't mean to belittle him. "You don't have to worry about me being whisked away by the likes of them, or the Dark Mirror Court. Sure they might have some nifty powers and can mirror walk, and maybe even have a cause to fight, but what I'd have to give up for any of that isn't worth it, you know? Besides, White Moon Court needs all the help it can get, right? With you as a Templar-Knight, it'll definitely help, I think."

Then, she tilted her head and asked, "So, your mission's still the same, or do you have new duties now that you're a Templar-Knight?"

Camelot watched her, smiling and nodding his head. He didn't mind her excitement. In fact, he rather enjoyed it, glad to see her up and about and energetic, instead of half dying. He much preferred her this way, for sure, and he could hide how flattered and embarrassed he was under how amused she was making him.

At her question, he rubbed his beard thoughtfully, which was more a habit when he was at work in the library than when he was powered up. He was usually mindful of keeping his civilian habits and his powered habits separate, out of a terrible paranoia of being found out despite the powerful magic of the glamour that kept them safe. It was easier to relax, though, with someone on his side.

He didn't really have much to hide with her, anyway.

"My mission is the same, though I think I can do more. I want to help Knights more, train them and teach them what I can about the things I know, and learn from them as well. And now I have the ability to help purify those that want to join our side, and need to get that out there. If anyone meets a Negaverse soldier that wants to join our side, I want to know them, and help them. Chaos is such a dangerous force, it corrupts subtly and can really be difficult to notice or fight... but I know that some Negaverse soldiers can see the changes in themselves, and want a chance to stop it."

Tsui admired the Templar-Knight for appearing so humble after such a promotion, and while it should have shamed her to think that she might have taken advantage of such a thing if she was in his shoes, or in the very least made the most of it, it only made her admire him all the more. It was no question how Camelot made it to the peak, Tsui thought with a smile.

She tilted her head when he explained his mission. It was surprisingly, yet fitting for someone like him, the Tiger senshi thought, and she couldn't help but speak out, not against him but merely wanting to see if he might have had the answer now that he had obtained such a rank. "Do you really think there are others in the Negaverse that want to change sides, though? Most of the ones I run into seem pretty happy where they are… even if they don't know what Chaos is doing to them."

Tsui was certain that Camelot had met a few that relished in it in his time, so she felt no need to bring up names or examples. She had attended the meeting for purification and she had vowed to help them in what way she could, but her faith in the Negaverse willingly allowing their officers to switch sides was lacking, she openly admitted. "I mean, we can't force them, I understand that. But how do we convince them that they're only being used? Do you think your new power could help with that?"

"I do believe there are. I have seen it, at least glimmers of it. The idea that Chaos is a corrupting force, that they might lose themselves to it, is a scary one to some of those under its influence. Not everyone corrupted into the Negaverse wants to be there, and most of the time, they do not get the choice. For some, they may not see that without the chance to talk to someone. If we're all so busy fighting, they might never know what is really happening to them. I believe that Chaos is not absolute, no matter how bad it seems. If it were, they would all be youma. If we can help them before that happens... if we can at least let them know that there are options..."

He shook his head, knowing he was getting off on a bit of a lecture, and he had a bad habit of doing that. He felt like he was improving, being more aware of how much he said and when it was appropriate, but his passions ran deep and he could not help but get wrapped up in things that he felt so closely tied to.

"Where there is Chaos, there is still a starseed. The potential to be a knight, at the very least, is inside everyone, and we are called to awaken when we are most needed. Negaverse soldiers have that potential corrupted, and we lose those knights to a force that makes them awaken into something they might not be meant to be. Through purifying, they can return to that original potential. Knights and the Negaverse are tied together. Two sides of the same coin."

His smile flickered thoughtfully for a moment, but he shook the strange feeling that hit him with that simple thought away.

"I can give them the chance to purify if they want to take it. We'll have to use other, old fashioned methods to get them to that point of choice, but I think just knowing that I'm out there, and I'm willing to help them, might make more of them start thinking about purification. If we can help some of them to do it, others will follow."

It never ceased to amaze Tsui just how much smarter everyone else in Destiny City sounded when compared to her and while she should have been annoyed or hurt by such a thing, she found herself rather envious of such wisdom. Whether it was one he obtained through his time in the wars or a revelation of becoming a Templar-Knight, Tsui listened to Camelot's words and took them very seriously, even if she herself could never think to articulate it in even a fraction of it on her own. "Never thought of it that way. Maybe I should be more alert and aware for those that might not like what they're doing and try to convince them that there's another way. I mean, all I'm good at is fighting but I'll still try."

He may have been aware he was lecturing, but Tsui paid more attention to Camelot than she did any teacher she had, and she couldn't help but find herself wanting to learn more. So, she listened, taking in what he had to say and trying to absorb as much of it as possible something that was normally hard for Tsui to handle on the best of days. "So, in a way, all officers were meant to be knights but were corrupted first, before they could awaken as a knight? Makes sense, but do you really think some of them would want to be knights? There's a few that seem to enjoy it."

Painite came to mind but she didn't drop her name. Every night her patrols didn't end up with her at the end of Painite's spear was a good night and Tsui wasn't willing to risk speaking of the devil and having her appear. Of course, what he said could also be applied to senshi, which meant the potential to be tricked over to Chaos still remained in her, but Tsui was determined never to let that happen. Though it did relieve her to know that Camelot would be the one to save her, and others, should the unthinkable happen.

"Takes one push to get the ball rolling, right? Well, for what's it's worth, I think that if anyone could convince a Negaverse officer to turn away from Chaos, you'd be the one. With Iris and Polaris, the three of you can save everyone… right?"

If Tsui had a conversation with Chaonis, she probably would have felt a lot better about herself. He was rough and tumble and not too insightful on a good day, and as thick as two short planks on a bad. Camelot himself did not think he sounded wise very often, though he tried to be helpful, at the very least, and share what he did know with others in the hopes that they might be able to use the information to better themselves, of simply keep themselves alive.

"If you do find someone like that, that wants to come to the White Moon, you can always bring them to me. I can help them now."

That was a lot of responsibility for him to take on, in his mind, and he was worried that he might make things worse, rather than better. He was not sure he was the right man for all this, but he had to be, because he had the power and the honor, and he simply had to live up to it.

"I know that not everyone, in fact a very small number of them, will want to consider it. A lot of what makes Chaos so strong is how convincing it is, how it can control and, well... corrupt. And it really does just that, which makes it hard to remember that these people, even the worst of them, still deserve the option. The chance. I'm hoping that with the Princesses and everyone else working toward the same goal, we could make a difference."

He smiled, moving to pat Tsui on the shoulder.

"And with people like you helping, of course. I'm very proud of you, you know. I don't think I've said so before, or at least not enough. But it's good to know there are senshi like you out and about."

Tsui didn't want to openly admit that she had some lingering doubt on anyone wanting to switch sides during this war, but that could have easily have been the fact that she might not have met them yet. Were there ones who didn't want to be a part of the Negaverse? Where they not allowed a choice? Were they afraid to talk or even try? It was confusing for Tsui, but with another asset like a Templar-Knight to help, then maybe there was some hope.

She respected Camelot, even before he had earned his Templar-Knight status, but she couldn't help but find some bit of skepticism in her in the belief that everyone deserved the option. Perhaps they did, but she was certain that there still may be some that were way beyond help. Perhaps it was wrong of her to think it, but she couldn't help herself from expressing this disbelief. "I have a feeling we'd have to work overtime and then come to convince some of the REALLY corrupt ones, but… who knows, maybe it's possible now. Gotta have hope, if nothing else, right?"

The pat on the shoulder was certainly welcomed, and if Tsui had the courage, she would have asked Camelot to do that a lot more often. Growing up without a father wasn't the worst thing ever as she had obviously survived the ordeal, even when she was nothing more than boring ol' Gwen, but it was nice to wonder how it might have been to get this kind of attention from a fatherly figure. The thought was admittedly weird, but so long as it remained in her head, all was well, right? It wasn't just a matter of 'what if I had a dad in my life' that made her rather like this attention, but also the added bonus of having her ego stroked, though really, what it all boiled down to was that she wanted to make Camelot proud. She wanted to make everyone in the White Moon Court proud! Maybe it was adding unnecessary stress to the Tiger senshi, but she welcomed the challenge.

"Then I'll keep doing my best! We can't afford to be sloppy, nor can we lose another person to them. Not a single one!"
