Goretti had a plan, and he was sticking with it. Night had fallen, and that meant it was time for him to get out and chase away some youma. His father wasn't going to be gone for long, and that meant that he had to cram a whole night of patrolling into only about an hour or so—and that meant that he was going into overdrive.
Within the first fifteen minutes he'd dusted one youma—and while he was proud of himself, it made him worry that there might be more than he could handle.
Until he felt another power signature near by.
A grin split onto his face; maybe he wasn't the only one out trying to make the streets safe for Halloween!
Maybe it was someone he knew! Or maybe someone he didn't!
It didn't matter to him; they were close enough that he sucked in a breath and then ran towards them. A bit of light fabric caught his eye and he skidded to a stop just a bit before he ran into a tree. "Hey!" he waved towards the person—girl.
Wait, familiar girl.
"Lutetia!" he added, once he realized just who he was looking at. "Hey! It's good to see you! How are you doing?" he asked, trotting over.

Time passing had made a lot of difference in how Lutetia was viewing her life as a senshi. Things were starting to make a little more sense, and were getting easier to figure out each time that she went out. Halloween was almost upon the city, and there was a good chance that people could get pretty messed up if they went out and ran into a youma or a bad something lurking in the darkness, so Lutetia was going out just a little extra to try and make things a bit better.
Sure she still had a bit of doubt at just what she could do, but she was more than willing to push through and just do her best.
Tonight had been kind of boring so far as being a super hero was concerned. She had fought nothing, seen nothing, and felt nothing, and just when she was about to give up and just go back to the dorm, she heard her name being called and whipped around.
Well, this brought back some memories! It was Goretti, the first person that she had really met in all of this mess. “Hey there, how are things going! It’s been a while, hasn’t it?” Wow. She had to admit, it was a lot easier to be friendly when you weren’t a confused mess of nerves and disappointment.
“By the way, I really would like to apologize for what a brat I must have seemed like when I first met you. I didn’t know what was going on, and I am so sorry if I offended you at all.” This senshi was a friend, and she wanted to make sure that he stayed one, even if he was younger than him, he had been at this a lot longer than she had, so she wanted to be able to rely on him. Besides, he was so nice.Kyuseisha no Hikari Thank you for the start! heart

The boy blinked at her apology and then waved a hand dismissively, smile growing on his face. "No, it's okay! I don't think you were a brat or anything. I think you were just new and scared and needed some time to figure things out. No hard feelings," he promised. "I had a good cat who took me to a senshi to explain everything. I can't imagine being so in the dark, so I probably would have been pretty frustrated too. But—how about now? Are you doing better, now? Having fun?"
He looked like he was having fun; the boy was still beaming from the success of ridding Destiny City of another pesky youma, and meeting up with a friend had him just glowing. So far, nothing had deterred the boy's enthusiasm—and at this rate, it didn't seem like anything could.

Lutetia nodded. “I think I’m starting to have at least a little fun. I talked to a cat who took time to explain things, though I think she managed to raise as many questions as she answered. I had no idea that I could go up to space, did you know that we could do that? She said I have to go to Lutetia and that Lutetia has to deem me worthy of being a for real senshi. Have you heard any of this, Goretti? Did the cat you talked to say things like this, or was this just because of what I asked. Do you think we really can go up to space?”
She looked up at the sky, sighing. “I wonder what it’s like up there.” The chibi hesitated then looked back at the other chibi. Her friend. “Do you think that’s where the monsters come from? The youma? Are they really just angry little aliens and we have to kill them like in the movies?”
It felt like a childish question, but it was a real one. What were the strange youma, and why did they run around chasing people. Chasing and attacking people. “Have you fought a lot of youma? I’ve only ever fought two, and the second time, well. I almost didn’t make it, I think. It was last night, and I managed to stab it with a stick, but it almost got me, that’s for sure.”
Lutetia wasn’t sure why she was telling Goretti, but for some reason, she couldn’t get herself to shut up. Maybe it was because part of her was kind of scared. Scared of getting hurt by one of the youma. Why couldn't she just go up to Lutetia right now and become a stronger senshi? That would sure help a whole lot.

Go into space. Go into space? Why wasn't he in space? "I want to go into space," he announced, already making his mind up to find Julienne to teach him how. He was just about to run to Lenka's house and throw rocks at her window to get her to fetch him the cat when he realized that that was incredibly rude and he didn't want to leave Lutetia alone. He scrambled to remember just what she had said and rocked on his heels to try and force himself to stay focused.
"But I don't know if there are monsters up there. I mean, probably, if they're down here, too. I spoke to a Negaverse officer—" he had to snap his mouth shut before he said more; he had promised Buddingtonite that he wasn't going to run his mouth about their encounter; he continued slowly, "And…he said…something weird. He said that youma used to be human. I don't know if he was just trying to scare me, but…"
Goretti shrugged. It was a bit of a scary concept and all he could wonder was how did it happen? What made someone become such a terrible monster? "…But if it's the truth, then the Negaverse is really messed up to go around and do that to people. So they have to be stopped. The youma…I mean, there's nothing good left about them. They're just nasty monsters and…I guess it's up to us to get rid of them so they don't hurt anyone else or turn anyone else into monsters. Personally, I've taken care of a lot of them."
He hadn't been keeping count, but he was certain it was a long list. "They're kind of scary though…so I mean, I admit—when things got hard I kinda…well, I run away. I don't want to be youma chow!"

Lutetia nodded. “Well, maybe I can take you up there when I finally decide to go. Or you could always go up yourself. Horatio said it was something about hearing your planet’s call or something, and using your senshi cell phone. I don’t really understand it, but hey. It was told to me by a talking cat so it must be the truth.”
She raised a brow. “Youma used to be human? That’s.” The chibi reached a hand up, biting at a nail. “That’s a kind of scary thought. How did they turn into youmas then? Should we be killing them? Does that make us murderers? Are we just killing people?”
It was really a worrisome thought and Lutetia didn’t really want to think about any of the implications right now. “What do you think the best way to get stronger against them is? I don’t think it’s running away. I think we’re going to just have to fight them a bit more.”
Lutetia gave Goretti a look and sighed. “Do you want to practice or something? I could use it, and I mean. We’re both pretty much the same strength. And I’d like to see what your attack can really do! Do you think this is a good idea? Practice fighting?” She gave a little smile, still trying to get over the fact that the monsters she was killing were once real people.

Lutetia seemed to have the same concerns as Goretti did about the youma—except he was slowly coming to terms with the fact that if there was something that could be done to save them…wouldn't someone have figured it out already? If all they could do right now was fight them…he was going to try his hardest to get the job done.
"I would love to practice fighting," he said, chancing a smile of his own. "I'd rather practice with a friend than someone who I know is just gonna try and hurt me!"
He wanted to console her about the youma—or maybe ask more about getting into space—but a part of him just felt guilty. Maybe give her a little time to let it sink in and then they could talk about it. Not like he knew much, but…He didn't want her to go home feeling like she was the bad guy.
He immediately took a mock fighting stance. "How do you wanna do this? You can start and I'll go along! Oh, but if you hit me, try not to do it in the face. I don't want my dad to be asking weird questions. If I come home with a bruise he'll think I was bullied and go back to walking me to and from school and that's suuuuper embarrassing."

The senshi managed to give a little grin and took her own mock fighting stance. “All right then! I’ll start if you’re really sure that you want me too!” She ran up to Goretti an gave him a little shove, then took a step backwards, laughing as he mentioned his dad walking him to and from school. “Oh man, I promise I won’t hit your face then. That would really just be social suicide! And nobody wanted anyone to have to go through that, especially Samantha. The poor boy would be laughed at forever if his father had to walk him to and from school. No, she wouldn’t go for his face, not even a chance at that now.
What she could do, well. She could do her attack. Lutetia held out a hand towards Goretti and drew in a deep breath before calling out “Seasonal Migration!”
She had used it once before on a youma, and she was kind of interested in seeing how much it worked on someone who was sort of near her size. “Sorry, Goretti! I don’t mean to be pushing you around or anything, but this is a fight, right?” She laughed and stuck her tongue out at him, seeming in a much better mood.
Sometimes it was just fun to fight!

Goretti seemed impressed at Lutetia's enthusiasm for the fight, and while the push had sent him stumbling back, it hadn't really done any damage. He wasn’t sure what he should have expected for her attack, but before he knew it, his feet were taking him in an entirely new direction. He was moved backwards a significant amount but never stopped smiling.
Though, he should have been conccerne that her magic was going to slam him into a tree or something.
After a few feet he blinked, looked down, and grinned up at her. "Well, that's fun! Your attack pushes people away, but mine," he sucked in a breath and called out, "Goretti Glue Puddle!"
Almost immediately, glue began to form beneath the girl's feet, sticky and quickly hardening enough to prevent much movement. The boy watched, pleased that his attack had worked this time, and finished, "Keeps them in place."
He took the opportunity to jog forward and run in a circle around her while the glue kept her feet cemented to the ground.Elite Sushi Sailor Scout Attack: Goretti Glue Puddle A puddle of glue roughly two feet wide sprouts from beneath the target's feet and remains for twenty five seconds. The target will find it exceptionally difficult to ply their feet from the ground, and should they manage to free themselves from the glue puddle (as it can be done, more often than not by higher level characters) each following step will also be hindered by the clinging glue. After twenty five seconds, the glue turns to dust and loses all of its sticky properties. This attack can be used once per battle.

Lutetia was very pleased at how far Goretti had traveled back. So it looked like size didn’t matter with the distance of her attack. That was a really good thing to know. She blinked when he began talking about his attack keeping her in place. Oh that was so silly! She laughed then tried to take a step and paused, looking down at her feet.
Oh she was stuck. “Goretti! That’s just not even fair at all!” She struggled to move, then huffed as he began running laps around her. “Ha Ha. Showoff. Just because you’ve been doing this longer than I have, don’t think I’m just okay with this! You wait until I’m a for real senshi, then we’ll see who’s laughing, okay?”
It felt like she was stuck forever, but finally the glue around her feet crumbled away and she was free again, doing a little hopping dance to make sure she wasn’t stuck anymore. “Okay. Now you’re in for it! You had better run away, because I’m going to get you for that, Goretti!” She lunged at him, laughing and attempting to tackle him onto the ground.
But of course she wasn’t going to go for the face. She had promised.

Though this was supposed to be a fight, Goretti was obviously enjoying himself. When Lutetia was free, he yelped and picked up the pace. "Well, I'll just use my magic again, you'll never catch me!"
Except, she did; he tried to turn a corner too quickly and felt Lutetia slam into him. Her tackle was entirely successful and he fell to the ground. The breath was knocked from him, but sans that he wasn't hurt at all. He blinked, lifting his head, and then forced a laugh. "Wow, you have really good aim. I bet you'd be really good in football or something! You know, if you get to be a 'for real' senshi before me, I hope we can still be friends. I'll probably still be laughing, though. Whether you stay like this or get big or whatever. I'll always have your back and be here if you need me!"

Lutetia got off of the senshi, grinning. “You’ll still be my friend too, I promise. After all, just because I’ll be a for real senshi, doesn’t mean I won’t still be me. I’ll just be stronger. I think. I don’t know. I bet you’ll get stronger before I will anyway, you have so much more experience than I do. Which is cool. I don’t mind a younger kid beating me, but just this once. And don’t go bragging about it, okay?”
She waggled a finger at him. “Anyway, now we know what we can do in a battle. You know, I think you and I would work pretty good together. I could push a bad guy away, and you could stick them in place. We should come out and fight someone for real someday. Don’t you think?”
The chibi stood up, brushing off her skirt and sighing. “I should get back to my dorm, it’s starting to get late and I don’t want to get in trouble for being out too long again.” She gave a bleak look. “I’ve already been caught once, and it wasn’t very pretty. But, what are you going to do, right? Super heroine duties come before sleeping. At least they do sometimes.” She gave a little wave. “I’ll see you again soon, Goretti!” As the chibi turned to leave, she paused. “Right! I should do this!”
She took out her senshi cell phone and snapped a quick picture of Goretti, then grinned. “Later! I’ll text you sometime! Bye!” With that said, she ran. No sense him using his attack on her again. But hey, they really could do something if they worked together. That was kind of a cool thought!Kyuseisha no Hikari Thank you very much for the rp! heart

Goretti had only just pushed himself up off the ground when she had snapped a picture, so all he could do was hope that he didn't show up as some confused, clumsy, dirty senshi on her phone.
…Hopefully it was a good picture.
"We should definitely team up some time. Thanks for practicing with me. Bye!" he called, waving as the girl ran off.
He proceeded to spend the next few minutes brushing the dirt from him, but he couldn’t even be mad. It registered to him shortly afterwards that it would be much easier if he just powered down and then powered back up again so he didn't have to deal with the mess…but if he was going to power down why not just head home?
He could count this as successful, and if there weren't any more youma in the area, what was the point of being out and losing sleep? He had tests he could be studying for!
Well, yeah, right. But he could be home playing games or singing in the shower or something. After a brief debate, he figured that he'd come out again soon, but for tonight he was just going to head to bed and daydream about teaming up and being a super cool fighting duo.Elite Sushi It was my pleasure! Thank you so much!
