BATTY NEEDS BALLOONS
(open from now until October 31, 11:59 EST) Don't ask him why, he just does. Can you find balloons in Halloween Town and bring him all he needs before Halloween night? To catch some balloons, roll 3d6 once a day and tally your balloons. Do not erase your posts. If you roll the wrong dice, just roll again! Match your rolls to the chart below and keep track of how many balloons you catch at the end of each day. You can't have negative balloons. Quote: 1: You bound after a particularly speedy balloon, but still manage to miss it completely. In your fumbling, you also let two of the ones you caught previously go. LOSE TWO BALLOONS!2: A balloon floats directly past your face and you grab it. GAIN ONE BALLOON!3: You blow up a couple of balloons on your own. They probably won't float, but surely they'll be good for something! GAIN TWO BALLOONS!4: A scareling holding three balloons trips in front of you. How did that happen? emotion_awesome You quickly snatch the balloons before they can fly away. GAIN THREE BALLOONS!5: WATCH OUT! BALLOON FLYING AT YOUR FACE! GAIN ONE BALLOON!6: In all of the excitement, one of your balloons gets away from you. LOSE ONE BALLOON! There's no need to RP, but if you do, you might get something extra!

On her way to one of the dorm booths, Sulmanon suddenly found herself asked by someone to help him find some balloons confused as to what he could need them for, Sulmanon cautiously agreed. Knowing that one of the best ways to get balloons was to blow them up yourself, Sulmanon went ahead and blew up two balloon and went to hand them over, when, suddenly, she saw a balloon floating away on the breeze. Thinking that it would be an easy addition to the two she already had, Sulmanon flew after it, but the breeze carrying it was too strong and she soon lost it. Sighing and returning to the ground, Sulmanon was glad that she at least had the two she had blown up. Remembering that, she finally noticed that she lost the two she had blown up in the confusion. After smacking her head thinking how foolish she had been, Sulmanon went and blew up two more balloons to hand to the old man and stalked off. Quote: 3: You blow up a couple of balloons on your own. Scarlett saw a ghoul with an old guy, blowing up and catching balloons before she left. Were they free to play with? Could she pop them?! She wandered over and apparently he needed help. An old man needs the help of students to catch balloons? That's not weird at all. He probably just liked balloons too.. " I'll help ya out, old guy!" You're always supposed to help the elderly in need. The ghoul was pretty sure she heard that somewhere.. or maybe it was something else. Regardless, Scarlett started chasing around balloons. She jumped and tried to catch one, flailing her arms at it and missing completely. This was hard, and tiring. Scarlett sat on the floor for and huffed, noticing some empty balloon carcasses laying around. It was like a clown's car exploded. Well, blowing them up was much easier than jumping after them. Scarlett took the lazy route and blew up a couple. As she finished tying the last one, Scarlett noticed a poor little monster trip and fall, releasing his balloons. BALLOONS, she thought and ran after them, jumping over the crying kid and snatching them up. Ya snooze, ya lose. The old guy needed 'em! " Here ya go mister," she had tied the balloons to a stick for him and handed it over. " So your old man hands don't have to worry about holding the strings. Hey, it could be a cane too!" Cailean was more than willing to try and help find balloons, it was pretty fun chasing them around all day! ... But he couldn't seem to -catch- any. Dejected, he decided to call it quits for the day and find something else to do... Perhaps he'd try again tomorrow. Yes, he would... More chasing things! Remembering the previous requested task of searching out and catching balloons, Cailean decided to get back to trying, after chasing one balloon around for while, the wind shifted and sent it straight to him! Wow! That was pretty cool! Undaunted now he tied the string on it around his wrist lightly and raced after another. Unfortunately in his haste, he lost the first one, but he caught the other one! So he still had the one! Deciding to turn that one in at least, before he lost it, he wandered back and cheerfully handed it over. Quote: 2: A balloon floats directly past your face and you grab it.
