NAME: Charlotte Rosenthaal
GENDER: female
ORIENTATION: straight
AGE: 19
EYES: dark grey/blue
HAIR: brown
HEIGHT: 5'4"
BUILD: soft, curved, unathletic
HOME: Rosenthaal Estate, Palisade

SPEECH COLOR: Bold Antique Brass.

User ImagePERSONALITY: Charlotte is curt, stubborn, ambitious, and critical. She has confidence in her intelligence and feels superior to other noble ladies, who she feels concentrate more on gossip than on bettering themselves. She is a keen listener but does not instigate, and is very aware of the players of the Game. She's smart, but trusts cold facts over the supernatural, and can seem pretty thick when the latter is clearly evident. When her "beliefs" are disproven, she can lash out and become sarcastic and cold, frustrated by the fact that no one can truly know everything. Vulnerability can also lead to a bit of a quick flare of anger. Otherwise, she is often stoic. She is stand offish, but in her heart she is a nice person who was raised with little love and is just extremely unfamiliar with affection.

BIOGRAPHY: Charlotte’s father is an inventor, Thorsten Rosenthaal. Dubbed the Man of the Future, he a genius who has created many inventions that have made him extremely wealthy. Rich and aging, after his first wife passed, he married a much younger woman who birthed him a single daughter: Charlotte (who, cruelly, was named for Thorsten's first wife...). Charlotte has three older half brothers, who are married and have families of their own. But Charlotte still resides in her father’s estate with her mother and all of their wealth.

A child of an innovator, Charlotte has little time for the Old Ways and superstition. She sees herself as practical and logical and looks down her nose on all that isn’t. Because of this attitude, she has always been somewhat alone. Her father has little time for her, but when they are together, they are busy rolling their eyes at the impracticality of most recent Palisade politics, or the strangeness of the faithful, and oh, wouldn’t the world be so much better if people thought more like us?

The snobbery of her upbringing aside, Charlotte is critical, witty, and ambitious. While on the surface she seems as though wealth has turned her into a fickle and prissy girl, Charlotte wears a thick skin that shelters a heart turned strong out of necessity and pressure. Aware that her father’s first wife was clearly the love of his life, and his sons with her already accomplished so much with their own lives, Charlotte has raced her entire existence to stay ahead of the curve. Her mother, also aware of her status as Second Best, is recluse and bored, sparing little thought to the ideas her husband concocts for a living—and Charlotte resents her for it.

While she is educated and smart, Charlotte does not revel in studying for the sake of knowledge—but instead, she is aware that it is this knowledge will keep her on top. In the same train of thought, the hairs on her head are never out of place—but not because she is vain, but because she is aware that beauty is a thing she can also take advantage of. She is the combination of her mother and her father, after all. Her father forced his way into nobility using his brain, while her mother, born into wealth, used her beauty and blood to marry into her “success.” She is the epitome of emotional control and stability. She reads people and analyzes how they can help her own goals. Everything is a formula to be solved.

So it is when, for the first time in her life, Charlotte feels the pull of the Wardwood, she feels the structure of her mind become slightly unhinged. A bolt becomes loose, and the more she tries to resist the more mistakes she makes. She becomes fidgety, and anxious, as everything in her life that once made sense seems a lot less logical…

User ImageNAME: Neve
NICKNAMES: --
GENDER: Female
OBTAINED: November 2, Samhain 2013 Storytelling Contest

APPEARANCE: Neve is a frail, tiny thing, with soft, baby-like fur. Her large, betraying eyes convey her every emotion.

PERSONALITY: Neve has too much emotion for her tiny body to handle. Like a Chihuahua, she is prone to trembling. She is overly affectionate and trusting, quite the opposite of her Warden, who is stand offish and calculating. Charlotte spent an entire year resisting Neve's pull, so by the time Charlotte finally gave into the Wardwood, Neve had a whole lot of love to express for her precious Chosen. Sometimes Neve's affection is overbearing and, at first, Charlotte is completely miserable with the doe glued to her side. Neve is essentially the love and emotion that Charlotte has repressed her entire life, and after a while, they compliment each other well.

Neve is quick on her feet and, as Charlotte's doe, is also quite intelligent. What she lacks in muscle and size she makes up for in speed and general dexterity.

It was forced upon me. But I can't stop it, and you can't either, so we must prevail
