THE HOUNDS
Name: Aku Gender: Male Age: Adult
Physical Description: • Light Colors, Pale tan, blues, and white • Blue Eyes • White swirls on his sides and by his eyes. • Determined eyes
Hobbies: Running, Eating, Playing, Sleeping, Hunting
Personality: Aku is as sweet as can be to Amriela. He is very protective over her, he is more than willing to put his life on the line if it meant saving hers. He is sweet though, he loves sleeping next to her, cuddling her, and even accompanying her on her daily runs, he never leaves her side.
He enjoys eating more than most things in life, like Amriela he is very interested in trying new foods. Whenever he and his companion go adventuring and find something new to try, he has to eat it, it doesn't really matter what it is.
He is the type who doesn't give up on something no matter the difficulty, he is very determined, and that is also his downfall. Once his mind is set on something there is no changing it. That has brought him close to death more times than he can remember.
The Summoning: Amriela was always the adventurous type, she loved making her way into places where she wasn't supposed to be, it was an overly intense hobby of hers that landed her in more trouble than most people encounter in their lifetime. The day of the summoning started out as a normal adventure.
She made her way through town, walking towards the caverns that nestled beneath the town center. She knew she wasn't supposed to head that way, there were rumors about that place, fairy tales that she had been told since she was a a child.
"They say something evil hides in those caves" Her mothers voice echoed through her head as she continued on her way.
Upon making it to the entrance, she began to hesitate. It was dark down there, and she only had enough light left in the sky to see roughly twenty feet into the cave. She sighed, and began entering the darkness.
It was a very wet place down there, wetter than she had expected. She dropped her backpack and felt around.
Perfect! She exclaimed.
Inside she had found roughly six boxes of extra long matches, she lit one and began descending the stairs that headed deeper into the darkness. It was cold, the moistness in the air didn't help anything. It had seemed she had traveled for hours, the darkness never gave any sign of letting up. It was then that she noticed the carvings engraved into the stone. There were pictures of men and women with some sort of... dog.. thing. Whatever those things were she knew she didn't want to be in this sodden place any longer.
She turned around and tried to make her way back, but her feet just wouldn't move. She wanted to continue down the tunnel, she wanted to see what was down there, something was calling for her and she ached to know what it was.
She set her bag down again, she was looking for the book she had borrowed from her mom. She found it and put her bag to the side. She took a seat on the cavern floor, and began to read. This book was very unique, it was all about these mysterious creatures known as hell hounds.
She started flipping through pages, stretching her legs as she read. It was then she paused, stopped reading and gasped. On that page there were drawings, the same drawings that she had just seen. She opened her bag again, took out a small mortar and pestle, put the book inside and began to look around.
Her world went black. She woke up, not knowing how long she had been out, or even if she was asleep at all. She lost track of time, where she was, and what she was doing, but she felt the urge to go on.
As she made her way through the smoke that had forsaken this place, she entered a round room. It had several tunnels connected to it, all leading to a different place. Dead center there was a portal of sorts, it's light illuminated the once dark room.
She heard something talking to her, almost as if it was talking to her in her mind. She was still dazed and confused, she talked back, it was then she noticed it wasn't out-loud. The voice asked her to be with him, to dedicate her whole being to him. She agreed.
He spoke about terms, she needed to make a promise to him, or a sacrifice. She made the ultimate promise, she promised that if she was ever to betray him, that she would pay for his pain with her life. The two agreed on the terms and the portal closed.
Were the portal stood there was a small pup. He looked at Amriela, and she looked back. She knew now that they were meant to meet, they were meant to form the ultimate bond, for she was his, and he hers. He was her hell hound.
