Avior was bored. No. Even worse than that, Avior was bored, and there was nothing he could do about it. With the impending change drawing closer and closer, there was the understanding that anyone he met as a civilian, any new friends or acquaintances made. They would no longer know him as he is. Once his defection was completed, no one in his past Civilian life would know who he was, to them he'd be just a stranger. In all honesty, the boy was quite terrified about this. To be only sixteen and leaving the world you knew behind wasn't exactly the easiest thing to do, yet he was ready. Scared, but ready.
And alone.
There were only a few things he found comfort in at the moment. One, knowing that his prince was there for him.. Even if he was sorta, maybe not around for the moment. Two, there WERE people out there who knew what he was going through and were so supportive and helpful towards him. And Three, Even if civilians forgot about him, the powered folk he met would still know him as Avior. With that thought, he decided that it was useless just sitting around for now. Atleast when he was powered up, he could feel the rush of wind against his heated, bruised face, and his broken arm felt just a little less achy.
A hobby of his had become seeking out more chaos-filled auras, trying to find out more of his soon-to-be brothers and sisters of the Dark Mirror Court. Yet all of his searches had resulted in being attacked by the Negaverse. Soon enough he wouldn't have to worry too much about that, as the Negaverse was still related via Chaos, even if there was no longer an alliance between them. For now, it would still be best to avoid them, and anyway, those from the Dark Mirror Court felt much differently than the Negaverse. The Chaos-infused auras that came off of them were far more welcoming and attractive. It was like nectar to a butterfly, for Avior.
Tonight was no different.The young boy hopped from rooftop to rooftop along the edge of a park not too far from his 'school' which he never attended, due to the incompetence of his own mother and father. Parks always seemed so over done for him, but that truly was the best place to find other powered folk. As soon as he felt the warm chaotic aura, he headed towards it, smiling and trying to imagine who this one could be.. So far, he had met Celemorrow the most, along with a few others, but this one felt unknown to him. It was fresh..
And most likely, they were gathering energy. From as high up as he was, he could see the small bits of glowing beings that were known as wraiths.. Avior know how wild they could be, so he stayed a bit away, waiting for them to go a bit closer to their owner, who could then draw them back into his mirrors.. Once he deemed it was safe, the red-haired boy jumped down from the rooftop, landing a safe distance away from the Senshi clad in red.
"Good Evening, There's no really smooth way to introduce myself other than saying I'm Sailor Avior, a Senshi who is in the works of Defecting to the Dark Mirror Court.. By your Aura.. Can I assume that you are with them?"

Tantalus rarely patrolled alone if he could help it - he felt so very much safer with Damocles at his side. There was something comforting about having six feet of hyper-protective, martial-arts-trained blond with him, especially when he was aware of White Moon auras stronger than his own while he was draining energy. Though he'd never run into that particular type of issue, he was given to understand that White Moon Senshi tended not to appreciate it when the Dark Mirror or Negaverse drained civilians, no matter how responsibly, so he very quickly called back his wraith and tucked away his mirror shard, hoping to at least keep that safe from damage.
Ideally he himself would be safe too, though he wasn't sure if that was too much to ask for.
He let out a breath he hadn't been aware he was holding when the Senshi dropped in and introduced himself in a polite and friendly way. That was all he could hope for - more, really.
"You would be correct in your assumption," the brunette said, his most charming smile flicking onto his face for an ally (or ally-to-be, he supposed.) "Sailor Tantalus. An absolute pleasure to make your acquaintance." He took a moment to scrutinize the boy before him - for this was definitely someone younger than him, if only by a year or two. "Though I am certainly sorry to see that someone has marred such a handsome face."

"Wow.. Yes, Wow, This is peculiar, I don't quite know what to say." Avior, took a few steps closer to the man, though he did decide on shifting his hair around so that his bruised face could be hidden. For a moment, he had forgotten about how to handle civility between powered people of different factions. Much less complements from anyone!
"Well, in reference to my face, and my arm for that matter, don't think too much of it. I was able to get away and live, so that's what matters. I don't deal with death, and I don't attack people, but if I'm attacked first, you can be sure that I'm not giving up without doing some sort of damage. I wonder if that one Nega still has my handprints around his neck." Perhaps he should stop with the violent talk.. He knew if someone had approached him and started talking about such things, he'd slowly, but surely inch away from them. It was very much like that with that one civilian girl.
"Anyways, so.. You're out collecting energy and stuff, right? How's that going? I've been on an energy hunt once before, granted that's different since Negaverse Lieutenants don't have the same method as DMC does."

Tantalus's expression shifted from charm to concern, he more he saw of how badly battered Avior was. Certainly they were technically on opposite sides right then, but it was really just a matter of Avior having a chance to speak to one of the royals, wasn't it?
The dark-haired man had to resist wrinkling his nose a little at the rather nasty mentions of violence. "I'm sorry to hear you've had to defend yourself that way," he said, but nothing else, because it was certainly a little uncomfortable to think about. Certainly he'd been involved in violence - the rather vicious destruction of Damocles's clone - but that was a little different.
"It's going," Tantalus said, sliding out his shard and releasing the rather full-looking wraith. "I take perhaps a bit longer, since I don't like to drain too much from one person, but it goes." He returned the wraith to the shard and the shard to his bracer.

"Like I said, it's fine.. Once I finally get to speak with a royal again, and take care of some unfinished business, I won't be so readily attacked anymore. I'd like to think of it as... One of the last pushes towards defection. More of a reason to go sooner than later." There were just too many things that had to be taken care of before he could change. New name, new ID's new passports/visas, new schools, new home.. He was young, yes, but not stupid. Such a decision couldn't be made so lightly, so quickly.
"Ah, right, that's rather considerate of you. When I went out draining, we took enough energy from someone so that they would pass out, but we only did so if we could guarantee their safety." The one nega who was kind enough to be patient with him, took energy from a Park Ranger, or something of the sort. And together, they placed him safely into his car, and locked him in, so that no one normal could mess with him.
"Have you been out and about long? Would you mind if I tag along, if you still have work to do? I'm still trying to learn more and more about the Dark Mirror Court from every encounter I have."

Tantalus reached out, gently lifting the hair away from Avior's face and frowning. "Still, it's not right that someone did that to you at all." He hated the idea that some of the people in this war would brutally beat someone up for no reason other than being on the other side. It could as easily have been him as Avior.
"I just don't see the point in that, targeting one person when I can spread it around." He withdrew his hand, adjusting his scarf a little. "I'd be happy to take you around for a bit, though. I'm not sure how much I can teach you; Leto only awakened me a few weeks ago. You'd do better trying to learn for someone who's been around longer."

Even through the darkened, blotchy bruises that covered his cheek, a slight blush could be seen forming. If this were any of Avior's romance novels or personal fanfictions, He would turn his head, kissing the other's palm, or take the hand, pressing it against his heart to have the other feel how fast it was beating right now.
But nope. This was the real world, and Avior had no such courage in his heart. The boy had yet to even have his first kiss, much less anything that would warrant an action like what could have happened. Instead, he reached up, gently pushing the other's hand away, before taking a step back, smiling nervously.
"Maybe I should have gotten a mask, like Erik, the Phantom from The Phantom of the Opera. It would be less distracting." But now that it's been seen, atleast he could tuck the hair behind his ear. It was odd, the placing of the bruises seemed to draw focus on his left eye, which still was as brightly blue in the darkness as it was in the sunlight.
"People will always find an excuse to hurt someone else.. That's why I can't wait to join the Dark Mirror Court. The Negaverse won't hurt me like this anymore, and maybe, finally, I can reason with them to leave some of the other White Moon Senshi alone. They aren't enemies, they are just lost souls, just like I was." At the mention of not being able to be taught anything, Avior couldn't help but give a rather cheeky grin.
"I could help you learn some things, then. I've been at this for a while. Don't let the bruising and broken bones fool you. That was the first time someone actually got me, and that was because he was faster. And I'm working on that. I've been in more than enough scraps. Not that I like fighting. Even if we can't do that, I'd love to hear more about your ideals on this ridiculous war.".

Tantalus laughed. "I'd be spending my time wondering what incredible beauty lurked underneath." It was easy to flirt when the recipient was so very receptive of it, with his blushes and smiles. It was practically like handing him a handwritten invitation to continue.
"As long as you're patrolling with me, Avior, I will do what I can to make sure no one lays a hand on you." He promised. If nothing else, his attack made for a fine distraction and he could send anyone attacking them running on a wild goose chase after a magic apple.
He considered for a moment. Well, there was no harm in patrolling with someone else for a while, was there? "Alright, let's see what you can show me, hm? It'll be a lovely evening."

"Incredible Beauty? Well, then, now that you know, and nothing is left to the imagination, we do not have to waste your time pondering that now, do we?" Despite how easy it was to continue to play into this game of flirting and flattering, Avior forced his tinted cheeks to cool, and for his gaze to become something more serious than what was to be natural for someone with such a maiden's heart.
"One day, I'll make that same promise with you. Who knows, when I finally defect to the Dark Mirror Court, I may find myself defending you. Then we'll see who will be protecting who, huh?" He shook his head for a moment, moving to fall in step beside Tantalus.
"But I digress.. I was curious.. You said you liked to spread it around, the energy draining.. How do you do such a thing if the wraiths are hard to control? I heard a rumor that they were quite the wild things.. I was even attacked by a few rogue ones not too long ago, and if it were not for another senshi, it might have been the end for me."

Tantalus just laughed, continuing along his route with amusement clear on his face. Even if Avior was trying to be serious, gravity never really came to the Senshi of Temptation unless he was under threat of life or limb (or heart, but that only ever came when Lance was involved in things, and he was certainly nowhere nearby tonight - never mind that things were fine between them - or, well, "wonderful" was probably more how Tantalus would describe it, given that they were finally together after a year of waiting on his part.)
"I'm sure you will, since you'll undoubtedly be a rank or two above me." And goodness, it might be nice to be protected on occasion. After all, it couldn't be his job all the time.
His eyebrows floated up a little. "I've never had a problem with a wraith, they've been perfectly well-behaved for me." He shrugged. "Perhaps there are some rogue ones, or that was a situation that has since been resolved."

"Oh, so they are just rogue ones? I swear, it wasn't that long ago when I was attacked, so I don't know if it's exactly been resolved. Either way, I'm sure things like that must happen for every faction. Nobody's perfect, even if they seem to be." Avior thought back on his own family, giving a little scoff outloud. As hard as he may try, he couldn't help but be a little bit bitter towards them for their negligence. Such feelings would pass in time, after all, but never again would he let himself be used; the walls surrounding him just grew higher and higher with each action against him, and holding onto such feelings would make them impossible to break down. He'd be damned before he allowed himself to become like some of those stone hearted senshi he had met before.
"Where are we even headed?" Just walking seemed to be a bit unproductive, so maybe Tantalus actually had an idea in mind. It was worth asking, atleast.

"You'd do better to ask questions about mirror wraith behavior of a royal, but as I said, I've never had a problem." Tantalus shrugged. It was simply something he'd never dealt with, but then, he hadn't been a Senshi for long, so he supposed there were things he didn't know.
"I tend to try to find somewhere moderately populated, and this area has calmed down for the night," Tantalus explained. "I'll then pick a rooftop and drain people as they walk by. I've never had a problem - no one ever really looks up." He chuckled quietly.

Of course there would not be any problems.. What use was it to keep asking the Senshi he met if everyone seemed to have no idea? It was as if all of them were simply turning a blind eye to things! Then again, it could simply be because he was new, right? Avior had no idea when or how long this man had been a Senshi, so who was he to judge?
"Right, right.. And you're right, no one looks up. Cept children. When they wander about at night, they tend to enjoy looking up into the trees, then poof, I'm found out. Not a problem though, since all I really want to see is them making their way home safely. Do you look for a particular person to drain? Someone who looks strong, or weak or frail individuals?"

Tantalus nodded absently. "I tend to pick people who look as if they can withstand it - so the ones that are strong, but sometimes the ones who are a little drunk, so they won't notice as much." He grinned slightly. "A little extra stumbling and tiredness when you've had some to drink isn't going to ring any alarm bells."

Then again, any sort of draining would be doing so, I suppose." Though.. Just how many people one would find drunk about on a Tuesday night was a bit hard to imagine..
"And if there's no drunks around? Is there any point in which you just kinda.. Give in for the evening?"
