The day after the meeting, Jordan headed to Peyton's room after he'd finished his morning routine. He'd done his gym time and his run, but left the training exercises off; daily training would be a good habit for Pey to get into, and it was a good chance to chat as well. He rapped lightly on her door when he arrived.

"Hey," Jordan greeted her with a smile, stepping inside. "I was hoping you'd be up. Have you done your training exercises for the day yet?" He was still in his workout clothes, sweatpants and a t-shirt and his usual heavy boots. "If you haven't, I wondered if you'd like to join me."

"Do you have a set routine, or a place you prefer to use? We're pretty flexible, we usually just go out to the fields for warm-ups, sometimes destroy a few dummies before checking to see if anyone's up for sparring." Jordan absentmindedly rubbed the band of Ferros's ring with his thumb. "We need a little space to work. Ferros got ridiculously large." It was said in a tone of fond exasperation.

Speaking of himself and Ferros as a unit when talking about training or fighting was a habit by now, one Jordan barely noticed, a byproduct of their close bond and the way they trained. He nodded at the comment about Warrick's size. "You've got one up on me there," he said. "Warrick's very maneuverable. Shall we go to the fields?" He grinned at her and turned to head out.

As they headed towards the fields, Jordan asked, "You said you don't have a set routine; would you tell me what you like to do for training? Warrick's not a heavy weapon, so you shouldn't have to worry about strength training, but I'd like to hear about what you're doing for endurance and form." A small, thoughtful hum. "Have you found a Moon you can work with on a regular basis yet?"

Jordan nodded. "Have you ever done any martial arts or dance?" he asked, then added, "Sorry for the barrage of questions, just thinking about directions for training."

He nodded again to the second statement. "It's good to have someone you know you can go to for defense, but it's good to be flexible about it as well, since you can't always expect to be on mission together. Having backup from someone who knows how you fight is great, though. If your Moon partner can anticipate what you're going to do, they can protect you better."

When they arrived at the training fields, he started a series of stretches, a casual warmup, not yet summoning his weapon.

"Since you have a close-range melee-type weapon and you're a small person, you should probably be using speed and flexibility to your advantage as well as strength," Jordan explained. "Get in and out of range before your opponent has even figured out he's been hit." He gave her a cheerful grin.

He nodded to her question. "Mists can defend. A regular partner isn't as important as keeping up your own training, though. I don't have one myself." He laced his fingers together and stretched his arms. "Okay, would you mind summoning Warrick and showing me how you warm up?"
