It had been suggested to Dea that she needed to get some fresh air, so with cane in hand, she headed for a walk. She had Teddy in her other arm, Teddy happily waving his hands. Walking behind her was Eilam and Lucy, both seeming to be enjoying the time outside. Fluff was ahead, looking at all the leaves starting to change colors and fall.
"Mama, come quick! I found something!"Fluff's excited voice could be heard. Dea exchanged looks with her two Poke children behind her and they shared the same confused look. All three of them rushed over to where Fluff was as fast as they could. There they saw something they didn't expect, a sleeping Pokemon.

That sleeping boy was shivering violently. It was a wonder the Autumn chill didn't wake him. He seemed to have been cold as he fell asleep. His arms were wrapped tightly around him in futile attempt to keep warm. The minun boy's ears twitched, and slowly sat up. Who was talking? Momma? Tania? No, not Momma. That wasn't momma's voice. Those weren't any voices he knew.
"Found something?" He echoed, blinking. "Found what?" He wrinkled his nose at the realization that Fluffernutter was talking about him. He wasn't a something to be found! "Congratulations," he said dryly. "You've found me. Can you u find me so I can go back to sleep? I've only just finished the worst day of my life."

"But Mama can help you. You look very cold out here. Plus, you look all alone. Mama can get something warm for you. She can also give you somewhere to stay out of the cold. Don't you want that?"Fluff asked. He looked over to Dea, easy to tell that he was begging his trainer/mother to help the poor thing.
"I am sorry if we are disturbing you, Fluff was just worried. You do look like you need a blanket or to sit by a fire. We will leave you alone, if you want us to, but I figured you might like somewhere to rest your head,"Dea spoke gently.

Tristan groaned. He put his hands over his ears as if in protest against Fluff's voice. "You talk too fast," he grumbled. "Yeah. Yeah. I'm cold. And all alone. My parents decided I was too much work for them. They got rid of me. I don't need your help! Or your mama's! My parents will come back for me! They'll realize they made a mistake. They love me! Its Tania that causes the trouble!"
At this proclaimation, the minun boy began to sob. He pulled away from Fluff. "Just go away. I don't need help. My parents will come back. I'm staying here until they do. Even if I starve. Or freeze. Then they'll be sorry."

"Mama, he is being mean. I didn't do anything wrong, did I? I was just trying to be friendly. Do I really talk too fast? This is the way I have always talked. I just get really excited. I am sorry,"Fluff squeaked, ducking behind Dea's legs. He peeked out, holding the edge of the back of her dress. He looked like he was ready to cry, his ears flattened against the top of his head.
"It's okay, Fluff, you didn't do anything wrong. I know that's the way you talk, not everyone is used to it like we are, though. He is just upset, just like you were when you came to us. Remember how you were in your room for a week because you missed Julie? Well, kind of the same thing here. Also, little one, if you change your mind, my house is right over there. Someone will open the door for you, whether it is Timmy, myself, or one of those with me,"Dea explained, patting the top of Fluff's head comfortingly.

"You're mean," Tristan shot back, angrily. "Come over here talking about warmth and mamas. Does it look like I've got either of those? Does it?" He demanded. "Do you think I would be out here if I had somewhere to be? Someone who loved me?" The minun boy gave a sniffle. He had thought his parents appreciated him: that they had loved him. It had always been Tania who had caused the trouble, with her bratty behavior. "You're stupid," Tristan grouched. He didn't want to talk. He wanted to wait for his parents to come back.
He glanced at Dea, frowning. "Uncle Timmy is at your place? Why?" He demanded. "He's marrying Uncle Cam."

"I was just trying to help you. I could see that you were cold. You also seem to be lonely too. I was saying Mama could give you somewhere to stay. You didn't have to be rude,"Fluff replied. He didn't understand this boy being so mean, but then he thought about what Dea said. She was right, he had hid in his new room for a week, not interacting with anyone. He had been mean to the people who would become his family.
"Well, Timmy is at my house because he is my son, I adopted him awhile back. As for his relationship with Cam..I will let him explain that one..it isn't my place to tell,"Dea replied.

"I don't need help! I don't want help! I'm not lonely! I'm waiting for them to come back! I told you! They'll be back for me! I know they will. And they'll come looking for me, because they love me, and when they don't find me it'll be because you kidnapped me!" Tristan blew a raspberry at Fluff. "I can be as rude as I want! I don't like you and I never will like you so go away. Just leave me alone!" The minun couldn't deny that he was cold. He wrapped his arms tighter around himself. "I don't need help," he insisted.
He did. And he knew it. He was a small boy in a huge, new place. "Uncle Timmy never mentioned you," he said. "How do I know you're not lying?"

"I don't know why you don't like me. I am a really nice boy, honest. You could give me a chance. And you could catch a cold out here. If they come for you, then Mama can explain. She won't force you, though. It is up to you if you want to stay here,"Fluff spoke.
"I can call him and he can confirm what I am telling you,"Dea answered.
Timmy, I found this Minun in the woods. He doesn't believe you are my son, so could you please come and tell him?Dea thought to Timmy.

"I don't care how nice you are! I don't want to give you a chance! I don't care! You don't catch cold from being out in the cold," he grouched. Why wouldn't this boy leave him alone? Why couldn't he see he wanted to be alone? He sighed. "Look. I have a home. I don't need a new one. I can deal with this." He couldn't. He didn't know where his parents were, or how they were. "And I don't want to stay here!"
A minun who knew him? Tristan? Timmy exited the house and made his way to Dea's side. He spotted Tristan, and assessing the scene, knelt down to the minun's level. "Come inside, Tris. We can wait for your parents there. They wouldn't want you out in this weather. Maybe Idea has a phone you can use." He felt the boy wrapping his arms around him.
"Uncle Timmy, take me home!"

Dea smiled when Timmy came and she patted his shoulder gently.
"Yes, I have a phone you can use and see what is going on. Fluff happened upon him while we were out here for our walk,"Dea explained quickly to her son.
"He doesn't like me, Mama. I am sorry if I am bothering him. I didn't mean to be a nuisence,"Fluff said sadly. Dea smiled softly to him and hugged him, she knew he was just trying to be helpful.
"Come on, let's head inside,"Dea spoke, leading the way back to her house.

Timmy glanced at Fluff. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes. He knew the younger boy had been adopted, just as he himself had been. Had Fluff forgotten what being alone felt like? He imagined Tristan was confused, and was using anger as an outlet. "He's not himself," he said shortly. "I imagine finding himself here was frightening. Then he found himself surrounded by strangers." Timmy knew how that felt. He had fled Dea's house, his fear of crowds had been so intense. "You're fine, Fluff. You can't blame him for being unhappy now. Everything he's ever known--gone." The teenager shrugged. He wasn't sure how to explain it to the boy.
Maybe Tristan would, eventually. "She's really your mom?" The minun asked.
"She really is," Timmy assured him with a smile. "Come on. Take it easy on them. They're trying to help."

Dea reached their house and unlocked the door, before leading the way inside.
"You can use the phone in the Living Room, Timmy, to find out what is going on. Fluff dear, why don't you go with Eilam and get Teddy something to eat. You know how he gets when he is hungry,"Dea suggested, sharing a look with Eilam, who nodded. Dea handed Teddy over to Eilam, who motioned to Fluff.
"I can do that, Mama. Maybe we have some cake left for him. He likes chocolate a lot. I will make sure to give him something healthy first. I know you don't like us having dessert before actual food,"Fluff told Dea, before following Eilam into the kitchen.

Timmy nodded, leading Tristan out into the living room. He pointed out the phone. "You know your dad's cell. Give him a call, and see what's going on." He ruffled the minun's hair. "Everything'll be alright. You can stay here as long as you need to, and I'll be here to talk if you need it."
Tristan went to the phone, and as he did so, Timmy left the room to give the boy some privacy. He glanced at Dea. "He's really upset," he said. "He's normally so happy. I'm not sure I want to know what knocked his smile out of orbit. Besides," he glanced towards the livingroom, "I thought he could use some time."

"I wish I knew, honey, there seems to be a lot of sad Poke kids around lately. I can only hope for the best and be there for those I can. I figured he could use some time too, that's why I had Fluff go help Eilam with Teddy. I knew it would give Fluff something to do and allow Tristan some time to himself,"Dea nodded softly.
In the kitchen, Fluff had gone into the fridge to see if they had any cake left.
"Yay, we still have some cake. I think Teddy will enjoy some of this. He really likes this cake. Mama may need to make some more soon. Do you think that boy will be alright?"Fluff asked.
"I am sure he will, eventually. Just like you had to adjust to a new situation, so does he. Just need to be patient, just like Dea was with both of us,"Eilam told him gently.
