Goretti was out at a slightly different time than usual tonight; he typically tried to be back before his father got home from work, as he really didn't like the idea of sneaking out at night…

But he didn't really think he was going to have to worry about getting caught.

His father had worked two shifts and a row and had to stay for a few extra hours to make up for a no-show; he hadn't even made it to his bedroom before he passed out on the couch.

His father was not a light sleeper, so when Orin walked into the living room to see how his father was doing, he realized that tonight was the perfect night. Especially after he shook his father and called his name several times with no response.

It had taken only a few moments of debate before he grinned, grabbed his pen, and powered up.

This wouldn't have happened had he not accidentally taken a nap after school—but he had too much energy! He had to burn some of it off, or else how was he supposed to get to sleep?

He didn't want too much trouble, so he promised himself he would just run around for a few minutes, maybe try to find a youma (or maybe not; maybe he would just enjoy the weather!) and then head home.

The park seemed like a good place to spend just a few minutes—and it wasn't long before he realized that there were others out. The tingle of an order signature nearby made him chew on his lips—and then set a course straight towards them.

Forget youma—why make trouble when you could make friends?

The weather outside was rather brisk this evening which was to be expected with the onset of Fall. Red and purple leaves danced across the empty streets under the halogen street lamps which acted as their spot lights.

Sitting atop her perch a good twenty feet off the ground, Sidouer listened to the humming sound of electricity as it ran up the galvanized metal pole, powering the bulb directly beneath her. So quiet she thought, patrolling around her neighborhood proved to be uneventful, not saying that was a bad thing, but it did make the evening seem to drag on a bit. Which is what brought her here... above the street lamp.

At least it's warm.

Had she'd been any more tired the white noise from the static hum could have easily lulled Sidouer to sleep. Alright... she let out a sigh may as well get some training in. She stretched her arms above her head while simultaneously twisting sideways to pop her back before getting up.

Staring at the ground, Sidouer contemplated her dismount, fancy flip, show off, and probably land on my head... or just walk off the edge? Hmm... How bored was she tonight? Before she was able to settle on her method of departure, the tingle feeling of an order signature snagged her attention.

Maybe it was someone she knew, Medea?... Phact? she wonder curiously, waiting for the owner of the signature to come into view. It couldn't be Kallichore, her signature was much stronger than the one approaching. Regardless, whoever it was, Sidouer was happy to be able to share the evening with just about anyone.

Just as a precaution, Sidouer closed her eyes and concentrated on the surrounding, if anything to make sure that the approaching senshi wasn't being followed by any unwanted guests or that no chaos signatures lurked in the nearby vicinity. Confident that the two of them were alone, she stepped off the top of the street lamp letting gravity take over, landing effortlessly on the pavement below just as the silhouette of a kid...? came into view.

Tilting her head to the side, an eyebrow raised in confusion , the creme haired senshi called out to the unknown senshi before her "Hello?" the sound in her voice made the greeting sound more of a question than a statement.

Goretti skidded to a stop and seemed impressed. He whispered, "Whoa," even as he looked from the girl up to the street lamp she had been perched atop. He couldn’t imagine even getting up there, much less balancing.

"That was awesome!" he said, beaming up at her. He grinned and took the last few steps to lessen the distance between the two of them, jutting out an open hand in greeting. "Hi," he said, "I'm Goretti. Well, Chibi Goretti, but you're a senshi so I bet you could tell. I'm Chibi Senshi of Glue, and it's a pleasure to meet you!"

She already seemed so much cooler than a youma. There had to be a ton of senshi in the city and he was eager to meet all of them—and start figuring out exactly what he'd gotten himself into.

The amazement that was apparent in the kids voice brought a smile to Sidouer's face. "Hah, thank you." She reached her hand out to shake his hand "To be honest the only thing I could tell was that we're on the same side, I'm kind of new-ish at this. My name's Sidouer, I'm the the senshi of static."

He's a cutie... she thought so full of energy, it's refreshing

"I'll be honest," she tilted her head to the side, "I'm surprised to see someone so young out so late. It's hard enough for me to sneak out of the house, I'd imagine it'd be nearly impossible for you." For all the trouble she went through each night so she powered up, Sidouer honestly couldn't imagine how a young one such as Goretti managed to sneak out. "I have a question for you though. A moment ago you called yourself a Chibi, what does that mean?"

Goretti shook the senshi's hand with great admiration before drawing away a bit. "Senshi of Static sounds neat! I'll have to blame you the next time I shock myself!" he laughed, obviously not serious. Serious meant he had to explain why someone his age was out so late.

…Which he had needed to buy some time before he could come up with a good answer.

He let his little laugh fade away before he shrugged and rocked on his heels. "My dad sometimes work late, so I sneak out while he's still at work. Or sometimes he works so late that he passes out and doesn't wake up until the sun comes up. I mean, I don't usually come out so late but I thought it would be all right if I did it once in a while. I'm kinda surprised that it's hard for you to sneak out! I thought teenagers got to do whatever they wanted." He shrugged. "But I guess all senshi have the same problems, no matter if they're chibi or not. Oh—a chibi." He pursed his lips thoughtfully, "I guess the difference is that I'm smaller than you? I mean, that's about all I gather. I'm twelve, so I guess I'm not allowed to be as strong as you. Probably because I can't hold as much power yet. But I'm sure that when I grow I'll get stronger! All I know is that I'm a lot faster than most senshi, so that's a plus. You've never met one before? …Though, to be fair, I only know a few, so I guess that might not be so surprising. How long have you been a senshi?"

"Hey now!" the creme haired senshi pretended to act offended in an attempt to lighten the mood. "You can't blame me for that. It'd be like if I blamed you the next time I super glue my fingers to a craft project." she let out a laugh.

Deciding it best not to dwell on sad thoughts of absent fathers she "Truthfully? It's no cake walk trying to sneaking out of my house. Especially when your room is on the 2nd floor and your dad is a light sleeper." Sidouer reached up and scratched the back of her head in a contemplative manner, it's been relatively 'safe' so far though with it starting to rain more frequently she'll need to be more careful or find a new escape route especially come winter time. "I'm not looking forward to sneaking out if there is snow on the roof, could you imagine?"

"Any who I wouldn't say that just because your smaller means you're not as strong as older senshi. Though I've only been at this for a few months I have met quite a few amazing people..." she paused for a moment "and some not so amazing people... Bad guys essentially. But what I can tell you is that strength isn't all about who can hit who harder, there's more to it than that. Know yourself and know your abilities and use them to your advantage. " She patted him on the head in a friendly non condescending manner "Give yourself some credit" she smiled hoping that helped cheer him up a bit.

Goretti couldn't laugh—both at the joke about super glue and at the idea of trying to sneak in from the roof. He was lucky they lived in a quaint little home with only a single story and hadn't had to worry much about avoiding his father. "I can't wait for the snow, but I hope you don't get hurt or anything! Be careful!"

What a terrible accident to explain! And if she fell and got caught? How was she supposed to explain being powered up while she was on her way to the hospital?

Still, that wasn't the most exciting thing she'd said; she was among the first people who wasn't so quick to discredit him just for being smaller. "I appreciate that last part, though," he said, beaming. "Mostly I feel like people just kinda wanna brush me off because I'm 'a kid', but you know—it hasn't been so bad yet. I'm okay with not being as strong as everyone else because I feel like if I was, I might have had some worse run ins. I've met a few Negaverse agents, and—you know? I made it out without so much as a scratch!"

He seemed proud of himself, though the sensation didn't last for long. "I mean…I know I got lucky, though, so…I'm actually trying to get stronger now in case I run into a real bad one. I was going to just practice on youma, but—what about you? Do you think you can help me out? I want to get stronger, but I'm really bad at fights. I make glue puddles and kick people. Well. Bad people. I haven't exactly figured out how to do much else, but I'd really like to learn anything anyone is willing to teach me!"

His show of concern brought a smile to Sidouer's face "I appreciate your concern, I'll be safe don't worry." He's such a cutie, so much energy and life.

Though her smile quickly faded to a more serious expression. Her eyebrows knit in concern when he talked about having some bad run in's "You're right, you are lucky. I've ran into some rather unsavory characters that I doubt would think twice about injuring a kid. They're the type to attack first and ask questions later. Just... please be wary of who you're up against, there is no shame in running."

Sidouer relaxed a bit, she wasn't out here to scold him or anything, but finding out that there are young children involved in this mess was a bit unsettling. Though it did seem, based off what he said in regards to previous encounters, that at lease some agents had the decency too spare the young ones. "I'll admit I'm not the best hand to hand fighter, I'm fortunate enough to have an ability that allows me to fight at range." To show him what she meant Sidouer rubbed her hands from elbow to fingertips and summoned her attack pointed away from him - illuminating the area for a brief second. "It's all about becoming familiar with your abilities and getting creative, finding alternate ways to make it work. It's been trial and error but in a pinch I can dust a youma, zap an agent, or attempt to blind someone so I can get away"

Satisfied with her explanation she turned her attention back to him she looked at him with an 'oops look' "Sorry I probably should have warned you before doing that."

Goretti listened to the girl's words intently; he didn't want to take this whole senshi life as a joke, but it was hard to accept that there might be real consequences when you were a superhero…and superheroes always won, no matter what.

Still…the senshi life was so much more real, and Goretti knew that there were people out there who had worse experiences than he had. He knew that there were bad people…and he didn't realize how fortunate he was to have avoided them.

But when Sidouer could do such amazing things?

The chibi's eyes were flashing in awe as he stared at where the attack had been. Even when it was over, his eyes played tricks on him as they tried to adjust to the darkness after such a bright flash. "Sid, that's amazing! I can't do that at all! You wanna spar with me real quick and I'll show you? My attack doesn't work so good if it's just me trying to use it, so I figure it works better if I'm fighting and need it. Sometimes when I try to cast it…it doesn't do anything, so I need a little extra motivation," he said apologetically, but eagerly jumped into a mock fighting position. I won't hurt you, just try to hit me and I'll try to hit you! But not too hard," he warned. "I don't want to actually hurt you—or get hurt! And I might learn something! So please, pretty please?"

He was already bouncing his weight from one foot to another, wanting her permission before he tried to do anything.

Unable to contain her laughter at how eager he was to learn she nodded her head unable to say no. "Sure, I'll do what I can!" Though she had to admit the thought of trying to hit him was a bit unsettling.

This wasn't exactly the kind of training she had done in the past, preferring to stick to her self proclaimed training sessions in the woods which helped to strengthen both her balance and maneuverability as well as adaptability to a changing environment. Almost as if she had been hit upside with an epiphany, Sidouer smiled and waited for him to say 'go', she didn't have to try and hit him, no, just try to knock him off balance.

Goretti seemed to be waiting for her to call 'Go', but when she didn't, he blinked, smiled, and then said, "Ready!"

It was all the warning he provided before he bolted towards her, and what he had in speed he lacked in strength. Rapidly he provided two very light kicks to the girl's ankle, not enough to hurt or knock her off balance—just enough to show her that he could move that fast.

"And then I'd punch you in the kidneys!" he said, though didn't have time to do that before he was running a few feet away from her. "And there's nothing you could do about it because you'd be trapped in my," he sucked in a breath, pointed his finger at her feet, and shouted, "Glue Puddle!"

Almost immediately, a puddle of the sticky substance formed beneath her feet, and if it hadn't been in the name of the attack it would have been almost immediately obvious that Gorreti had succeeded in summoning a small batch of glue, effectively limiting his target's movement.

He wasn't quite sure if it had work and leaned forward, staring with wide eyes to try and gauge the effectiveness of his glue puddle.

Shanyume
Goretti Glue Puddle: A puddle of glue roughly two feet wide sprouts from beneath the target's feet and remains for twenty five seconds. The target will find it exceptionally difficult to ply their feet from the ground, and should they manage to free themselves from the glue puddle (as it can be done, more often than not by higher level characters) each following step will also be hindered by the clinging glue. After twenty five seconds, the glue turns to dust and loses all of its sticky properties. This attack can be used once per battle.

So that plan of hers, to throw him off balance... yeah didn't happen.

Sidouer did attempt to make a grab for his wrist after he had went for her ankles but didn't exactly expect him to be able to move that fast and ultimately missed entirely. Still, though, that didn't deter her from attempting to pursue him the few feet he ran away to close the distance and 'tag' him.

"Woah" she nearly yelped in surprised. Stopped suddenly in her forward momentum, Sidouer nearly found herself kissing asphalt when her gold heeled boots found themselves firmly glued to the ground. She flashed him a playful look of annoyance and with a smile replied "I see how it is!"

Reaching down she unfastened her green gem buckle so she could attempt to take her boots off - unsure if the glue went through the soles or not. If need be she'd run around barefoot, and hey better to know now if an opponent can just slip their feet and get away instead of struggle against the very... effective glue.

Kyuseisha no Hikari
Let me know if it's possible or not wink won't deter her from trying though.

Goretti watched with great interest at what she was doing, though when he realized she was taking off her boots he was torn between laughing and running. "What!" he demanded playfully. "No one's ever done that before!"

He was delighted to know that a Negaverse Agent hadn't thought to do it before; now that he was reminded that shoes didn't always stay on he had to remember to keep a bit of a further distance away from his opponents in a battle. "—Do you want some help?" he asked, returning to her side to hold out a hand to help steady her. He didn't seem very good at staying on the offensive, but if this was supposed to be fun, he didn't want her to fall down because she was trying to get out of her boots because he glued them to the ground. "If you don't wanna do that, it's okay—the glue only lasts for a little bit, so by the time you get them off I think the glue should mostly stop sticking. It makes this cool powder when it's done. But—I dunno, that's my attack. I like it. Are you okay?" he asked, and though his attack wasn't offensive, he seemed concerned all the same.

"Haha," Sidouer smiled at his surprised reaction "Glad to be the first to have figured it out!"

Thigh high boots, though it seemed would be the closest thing she'd get to pants while powered up, were a royal pain in the butt to take off. But with a good tug her left foot finally came free.

His concern for her lack of balance was both endearing yet concerning at the same time. Reaching out to take Goretti's hand, Sidouer tugged him towards her careful not to jar him too much as she spun him so his back was to her - a move she'd been on the receiving end more than one occasion with her brother when the rough housed. With her right hand she twisted arm behind his back holding his wrist firmly against his lower back so she didn't hurt his shoulder, and placed her left hand on his other shoulder to keep him still. "If an opponent has forced you to a point where you use your attack, don't offer to help them" She released her hold so he could turn around.

Standing bare foot on the cold ground Sidouer patted him on the head "You did good though, you're a lot quicker than I expected. Though if I may suggest, if you're up close with someone, try and knock them over then get away. Just be careful... Some of the Negaverse Agents are more dangerous than others." She looked at him, so much life and spirit... be careful please

Goretti still seemed fairly stunned at the move; he was a bit jarred by the sudden gesture, but the senshi had made her point.

"Okay, okay," he grumbled, though didn't sound particularly disgruntled. He rolled his shoulder to relax it as he turned to face her. "I'm always careful. I wouldn't help someone who I was sure was just going to turn around and hurt me. I'd rather someone else have skinned knees than me have, I don't know." He seemed at a loss when trying to think of something lethal, though preferring not to dwell on it he just concluded, "Me have to be dead or something. But I'll help nice people. Friends 'n stuff. You seem like you're really good at making sure people can't hurt you. When I get bigger, you'll have to teach me how to do that! Right now one of the only things I really have going for me is being able to run quickly. The glue is nice, and coupled with the running, I figure I have a pretty good chance when it comes to making it out of a fight alive!"

He smiled at her, glad for the experience. "Thanks for sparring with me! I'm gonna take what you said to heart and try to be safe about everything. Though, speaking of being safe, I guess that means it's late enough that I should be in bed. You know, don't wanna be out when the real crazies are running around. You shouldn't stay out too late, either! I don't want anything bad to happen to you!"
