Hmmm Turk. . .
This is what they are in FF7
I'm sure you people are curious about our lifestyles, right?
Living life as a Turk is a very... unique and thrilling experience. I'm personally grateful to have this job.
We have our own suites on the 40th floor of Shinra. It's quite a view, really. You can see Midgar and everything. The elevator is VERY awesome, by the way. It's made of glass, so it's perfect for looking out.
We have specialized Identification cards, so we have access to every floor and every room. Trust me, we need them. We are always called upon by different authorities.
TURKS stands for Tactical Unit Renaissance Killing Squad and we have a lot of duties. It either involves recruiting possible candidates for SOLDIER, protecting the president, spying, killing, etc. We do a lot of dirty work from time-to-time.
But it's a very awesome job, I think. I know I'm just a rookie.
But how cool is it to operate your own Shinra helicopter?
Fire a gun?
Use a bunch of Materia borrowed from the research facility?
All rules apply through out the Guild and RP apply.
Character Bio's
Name: Reno
Nickname: N/A
Age: 22
Occupation: Second command of the Turks
Residing at: Small Apt. some were but never really home.
Weapon(s): Elector-Mag, Karate skills.
Materia:
Lvl. 2 Fire - Fire spell
Lvl. 1 Bio - Piosion Spell
Lvl. 1 Cure - Healing Spell
Lvl. - Mini - Transformion Spell
Lvl. ------- - Never really needed another one.
Limit Break: Electro-mag, Pyramid. Electro Mag causes fair amount of damage, also stunning the victim. Pyramid encase the victim in a golden pyramid that keeps the victim from making any movement.
Personality: What can one say about Reno? While he is often used for comic relief (quite successfully, in fact), there is more to him than meets the eye. But let's talk about first impressions to start with. You first meet Reno in Aeris' church where he correctly identifies Cloud as being "a little weird." Sarcastic and arrogant, he definitely rubs Cloud up the wrong way, and Aeris knows full well what he is. But nothing too bad happens, Cloud and Aeris escape and explain what the Turks are. In essence, Turks are bad people. But it's not until Reno is encountered on top of the Sector 7 support pillar that you see just what the Turks are capable of doing. Promptly destroy the support pillar, Reno kills thousands, and nearly kills Cloud. but he seems very nonchalant about the episode, despite the fact that he is injured. He's just there, doing his job. Coupled with his slouch and appearance, first impressions are as follows: evil gangster with style.
Reno does everything with style, truth be told. He can rival Tseng in the arrogance stakes, but in a much more obvious way. Reno has more interaction with AVALANCHE than any other of the Turks, and his brash personality and flaming mullet makes him stand out more than the others. At times he has the demeanor of a laid back drunk, but he can go to ruthless professional quicker than Shin-Ra sucks up mako. He is dedicated to his job, despite what he says to Elena: "A pro isn't someone who sacrifices themselves for their job. That's just a fool." One can't be a Turk without sacrificing some part of themselves, it isn't a job that will leave you unscathed; be it mentally or physically. Perhaps this is why Reno drinks so much, and the impression is given that Reno and the other Turks are big drinkers. In the dreaded world of fandom, he's also seen as something of a womaniser, although there is no concrete evidence of this. It's easy to see why, he's young, successful, pretty and with an ego the size of Midgar. It can be safely assumed Reno knows how to enjoy himself.
History: Reno is no fool, it's easy to pass all the Turks of as fools because of the way they are portrayed. But he didn't go after Don Corneo in Wutai until a fellow Turk got in danger. He realises the need to team up with Avalanche. At the end of the game he also realises the Shin-Ra is over and leaves the choice of battling or not up to Cloud. He doesn't seem to give a damn either way. He never had anything personal against AVALANCHE, and there was no longer any reason to fight them. At that point, he thought the President dead, so what good could come of fighting AVALANCHE?
Reno and Rude are very good friends. This is very obvious when watching or playing any of the compilation. In Before Crisis they even finish each others sentences! It's probably only natural after working together for so long. They look out for each other, although Reno seems unaware of the fact that he probably tries Rude's patience at time. wink Their "who do you like" conversation is an example their comradeship, as is the fact that Rude replies quickly and honestly. And Reno is the only Turk who's crush you don't find out, again leading to fandom speculation and the spawn of a thousand disturbing fanfics. Some of which inevitably involve Elena.
And that smooth transition brings us to the rookie Turk. Reno has a soft spot for her and, while he knows she can look after herself, he just wants her to become a better Turk. And he looks out for her like he would any other Turk. Although he does seem to be a little harsher on her than he is with the Before Crisis rookie Turks. Perhaps it's her habit of running her mouth that exasperates him so.
Although Reno is hardly closed mouthed himself. Incredibly cocksure. no matter how many times he gets beaten, Reno is quite the character, and he has the looks to go with it. In fairness, he does have a mullet, but he is one of the few that make it look good. He is unkempt, with a scar under each eye and goggles pushed oh so carelessly into his messy hair. He certainly stands out in a crowd.
