Papers were the devil. That was the only way to explain why she kept having to write them.
Raven was walking home from the campus library, rubbing at her tired eyes and just looking forward to some good snuggling time with Jett. She had finished the stupid paper and submitted it, so the long night had been a good one after all. She was more than ready for the semester to be over though, that much was for darn sure.
Walking alone at night was very comforting, especially at this tie of the year, though her exhausted state didn’t make it that easy to keep an eye on her surroundings. It didn’t matter too terribly much though, she had her pen in her pocket, so that was something that made her feel…at least a little more secure.
Not that anything that went bump in the night would be after her. What a silly thought.

The newly awoken Sailor Orcus watched the tall blonde girl from the safety of the shadows. She was alone and as far as Orcus could tell, there wasn't anyone nearby who could come running to the rescue. This was the perfect time to make her first attempt at energy gathering.
Frowning just a little in concentration, Orcus took her mirror shard from the small bag so cleverly hidden in her skirt and called up her mirror wraith. Silently she directed it to the blonde girl walking and set it loose.
If this was all there was to the whole gathering thing, why, it was easy! Feeling her shaken nerves finally beginning to recover, she smiled a little to herself. Oh yes. Easy, peasy.

Oh yes, walking at night was absolutely superb, or it was until she felt something. Something that felt horribly like a ******** mirror wraith using her as a snack.
Raven shuddered. This was not something that she had ever wanted to feel again, and she looked around wildly. Who was doing it? Was she really so MIA from the court that they didn’t even know her? Jeeze. “Okay. Dark Mirror person who’s out there hiding, I really think you should think about this. Seriously.”
She didn’t want to have to kill the wraith, but…then again maybe she did. She still hated those ******** more than she could say.
As the wraith made another pass through her she closed her eyes, feeling sick. “I mean it. I really mean it, call it off. Call it off now.” Her hand had slipped into her pocket and wrapped around her henshin pen. Thank god she had started carrying it around again.

Wait, what? Orcus felt a wave of confusion wash over her at the blonde's words. How did she know... how could she know? Narrowing her eyes, she tried to think quickly. And as for calling it off...
"How in hell am I supposed to do that?" she grumbled not so softly. All she'd been told really was how to set the wraith on someone. Sit back while said Wraith does its thing. Profit. The quick lesson she'd been given hadn't explained how to control the damned things if she wanted to call it off.
Well, okay, maybe it had, but she hadn't really been in the mental shape to deal with a lot of instructions at once after the shock of the Mirror.
"Umm... sit? Heel? Whoa boy?"
Clearly, Orcus was still a little on the dazed side.

The wraith made another pass at her and Raven decided that enough was more than enough. She drew out her henshin pen and a few moments later had gone from normal Raven to Eternal Sailor Lesath. With an angry snarl she swiped at the wraith, seeming pissed that it decided to realize it shouldn’t drain her anymore.
Well. At least they had gotten smarter. Or just more reliable. Or whatever. The biggest downside was now she couldn’t kill the damn thing and get the energy back. Oh well. Next time.
She glared at the less experienced Dark Mirror senshi and crossed her arms in front of her chest. “So. Tell me. What’s your name, and when did you join our little…court?” Her voice was icy and she just didn’t look happy. But who would look happy. It wasn’t like she had added this girl. So who was running around making more of them?
