▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬┤|ρ є r ѕ σ η α ℓ • ∂ α т α|├▬ Full Name: 冰玉兰 - Bīng yùlán (Written as Yulan Bing) Nickname: Lady Yulan, The Iron Dragon
True Age: 538 Age Appeared: 32 Birthdate: August 8th Gender: Female Ethnicity: Chinese Blood Type: B-
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Height: 5'11 Weight: 126 lbs Eye Color: Dark Brown/Black Hair Color: Black
Life View: As a result of her upbringing, Yulan finds it hard to have real, deep emotional connections with anyone. She's incredibly amazing at faking a friendship or relationship, but when it comes down to whether or not she truly loves someone Yulan will almost always say no. That is not to say she is incapable of genuinely respecting others - Yulan has deep respect and true for the Shinigami who she deems are worthy of it, but any emotional ties that she may appear to have are all fabricated. As a result, she is fully capable of attacking and even killing her allies if they get in her way and show no remorse or signs of regret. Personality: Born as a daughter of noble lineage to the patriarchal Bīng family, Yulan was raised to be incredibly polite, soft-spoken, and every bit as high-class as they come. She was expected to uphold the family traditions and become the greatest and most obedient wife for a worthy noble lord. The decades spent towards her specialized training resulted in Yulan becoming emotionally disconnected with her surroundings and the world in general. She became an incredibly convincing liar and never showed any indication of her inner feelings of being trapped, or her depression that stemmed from the feeling of being a failure in the eyes of her parents.
Her personality made a dramatic change once her parents essentially disowned her and sent her away to the Shino Academy. She was finally granted freedom to express herself, and though it felt weird at first, with time Yulan adjusted to her new environments and the outer shell of the 'perfect nobleborn daughter' began to crack. Yulan claimed that it was during this time where the woman finally began to grow as a person and not as a mere object or commodity to be traded between families, and where she began to really find herself. As she progressed through her studies and entered into the life of a Shinigami, Yulan became more playful, outspoken, blunt and, most importantly, vocal. She found her voice, her drive to fight and her nerve to fight back when it was needed, foregoing all her previous lessons where she'd learned to remain quiet and take on the role as the 'obedient wife'. Yet the one thing she was unable to unlearn was her emotional detachment, which made it hard for Yulan to ever truly trust anyone or form strong, meaningful bonds. All in all, her personality traits and her strong sense of duty make it easy for Yulan to act on absolutely any order that she is given nine times out of ten, even if she must attack or kill her own comrades.

Yet despite being the first child and the eldest, the traditions of the Bīng family barred her from ever becoming anything more than a wife to another nobleman - the Head of the Family was a title that was typically passed on to the first male of the family. She lived a relatively happy childhood, despite being treated more as an object that should have been perfect, proper and polite at all times. She lived under constant scrutiny by her parents, teachers, and nannies, and Yulan had very little freedom to do anything on her own as she was constantly surrounded by handmaids and attendants. She had barely any contact with the world outside the family manor either, and only learned methods of communication from her instructors. Much was expected of her at a young age - perfection in calligraphy, art, and general entertaining; a high literacy level; and most importantly, social skills and etiquette befitting that of a nobleman's wife. Yet her parents' standards were set to such a level that Yulan was never capable of reaching them. Consequently, Yulan was always seen as a complete and utter failure to the family in their eyes.
Yulan was entirely conscious of their disappointment. and would end up growing very insecure about her own shortcomings until later in her life when she learned that absolute perfection was something that was impossible to attain. Her parents were relentless, believing that it was Yulan's sole duty to strengthen familial bonds and tie nobility together to become more influential, and as such they never gave up on her education and training. She was destined to marry the eldest son of an equally influential family by the name of Yoshihiro Kawatake, and hoped that by drilling her to the point of exhaustion Yulan's chances of sullying the family's name and honor should she fail to properly present herself as a member of the Bīng family would be lowered to an absolute minimum.
Yet by the time Yulan was finally ready to marry by her parents' standards, a scandal threatened to ruin it all, and drastic measures were taken in order to reduce the damage and keep the affair quiet. Very few people know of what truly happened that had forced her parents to cancel the wedding and immediately enroll their daughter to the Shino Academy, but the truth of the matter was that Yoshihiro had engaged in an affair with a woman of lesser-born status than Yulan, and had his first son by her. Despite how much she hated to admit it, Yulan felt indifferent about the matter - she barely knew the man, so whether or not she married him was not much of a concern to her, she merely wished to please her parents. To clean everything up, Yulan was enrolled in the Shino Academy and the engagement was cancelled, with the Bīng family cutting all ties with the Kawatake family. It is believed that to this day, Yulan's father is still bitter about the issue, but does not dare to speak publicly about it in fear of what damages it might do to the family name. A little known fact is that effectively, Yulan is no longer a true member of the family. Tradition dictated that all female members of the family must marry and must never enlist in the Gotei 13 or associate with the Shinigami in any way shape or form to be considered a member. Yulan was branded with the 'mark of the exiled', and upon kicking their daughter out, all ties were cut and Yulan lost access to her personal finances and any of her possessions that she owned whilst living in the Family Compound.
Due to the nature of Yulan's upbringing, her first year in the Academy was awkward to say the least. She was already much older than most of her peers (~320 with the appearance of a 20 year old) which made her even more insecure. Her lack of contact with others outside of her family manor resulted in a slight inability to really step up, speak out and make friends on her own. She was always seen as the reclusive girl in the back of the room, rarely speaking to anyone and always vanishing right after classes ended. With all the time not spent socializing, Yulan generally hid away in her room practicing what was taught in any given lecture or preparing for future lectures. She rarely even stepped out into areas of public use such as training fields and cafeterias in fear that she might have accidentally insulted someone. By the time second year rolled past, Yulan's thick outer shell began to break as she slowly opened up to a select few classmates, and by the end of that school year Yulan spent less time alone in her room and more time in the libraries and training fields with the few close friends that she had made. In her fourth year, Yulan was slated to graduate at the top of her class, which in truth was no surprise to her peers considering her excellence in academic performance.
Upon graduation, Yulan was enlisted into the First Division, where she spent the majority of her developing years (a little over a century) as a Shinigami. It was during her time in the First Division where Yulan finally achieved her Shikai, after spending years attempting to contact her blade. Upon achieving the Shikai, Yulan spent nearly one and a half decades training intensively to master the particularly temperamental blade. The process itself was rigorous and demanding, but it was noted that her training seemed to be more mental than physical, and based solely on her own Reiryoku control as opposed to dominating her Zanpakuto in combat. As a result, Yulan's skill in Kidō began to grow exponentially, and by the time she had finally mastered her blade, Yulan was transferred to Fifth Division where it was believed her skills would be further developed.
Yulan trained under the division members briefly before her prowess was noticed and the Captain took her under his wing. It would only take about a year and a half after that for her to earn the rank of Lieutenant when the former retired. For nearly the next two centuries, Yulan held that title and worked alongside the Fifth Division to attempt to further promote its role as a Division specializing in Kidō and making it a more widely acclaimed division for aspiring Kidō users. It was also during this time that Yulan converted her family's 'mark of the exiled' into something entirely different - a dragon tattoo that begins just above her left breast (where she'd originally been branded) and snakes around the front of her bicep. Even when she's wearing her Cloak and Haori, the head of the dragon is still visible and will glow a deep purple color when she uses Kido or releases her reiatsu.
Yulan began to train under the Captain, learning from him how to achieve her Bankai. It took years due to the nature of her Zanpakuto spirit, and though she has finally achieved it, mastering it is an entirely different story. Training took much longer than was anticipated, and to this day she has yet to completely master her weapon. Despite this, Yulan was still promoted to the Captaincy position due to her centuries of experience and Kidō expertise. She is widely respected (but mostly feared) by her subordinates in the Kidō Corps, and is generally widely regarded in the Gotei 13, earning the title 'The Iron Dragon' because of her general appearance and fierceness in combat.

Known Foot Techniques: • Air Walk: Expert • Air Dash: Expert • Shunpo: Expert Known Hand-to-Hand Styles: • Hakuda: Advanced Known Swordsmanship Styles: • Zanjutsu: Adept • Kendo: Advanced Reiryoku Techniques: • Kido Spells: Master • Reiryoku Gathering: Master Other Techniques: • Dashing: Expert • Jumping: Expert
Strengths: • Combination Kidō: Yulan finds it rather easy to combine Kidō spells for added effects. This makes battling with her rather interesting as she tends not to stick to traditional spells and will merge Hadō with Bakudō or Hadō with Hadō or Bakudō with Bakudō to manipulate the spell effects in such a way that her opponents won't know what hit them. • Her Strategic Mind and Tactical Brilliance Weaknesses: • Low Physical Strength • Underlying Insecurities/Uncertainty in her Skills Fears: • Dishonoring her Family (Even if she isn't a real member of it) • Failing her Comrades or Commander • Losing due to her Own Shortcomings or Flaws
Personal Possession(s): Contrary to popular belief, Yulan does not have access to the Bīng Family fortunes. She was effectively kicked out of the family upon her enrollment to the Academy, and though she may (or may not) be welcomed to return back to her family home, Yulan knows she wouldn't be able to stay for an extended period of time. Everything she owns, she purchased with her own earnings.
Captain's Haori: Yulan's wears a standard Captain's Haori with the number five printed in a rhombus on the back. Hers is long-sleeved and cut in such a way that it fans out and trails slightly around her, while her interior robe just barely touches the floor. Yulan's Red Robe: On top of her modified Shinigami shihakusho and underneath her Captain's Haori, Yulan wears a silken robe made of the finest silks and colored the same shade of red as the lipstick she wears. Custom-designed by Yulan herself, the robe features a high flared collar that sticks out. The robe also features gold trim along the edges. Running along the top half of the robe are ornate Chinese-style silk knot buttons. On the back (though it is only noticeable when she removes her Captain's Haori), there is an intricate golden dragon flying around a sun embroidered on the in honor of her family name and heritage. The robe, being entirely customized, hugs her curves snugly to accentuate her figure and appears like a floor-length dress when buttoned, concealing most of her Shihakusho save for what can be seen in the chest region. Charmed Black Jade Necklace: A silver chain with a black jade pendant that Yulan always wears. The pendant is in the shape of Yin, half of the Yin-yang symbol. It has been charmed with a powerful barrier spell that activates immediately upon contact to prevent any sneak attacks. Jadeite Bangle: A round bracelet that fits snugly on Yulan's left wrist. It features three colors which is a rarity amongst jade - purple, green and red. Chinese folklore dictates that wearing jade cleanses the body's natural energies, strengthens certain internal organs depending on the hand it is worn on, and deters evil spirits. Due to the nature of the bangle, Yulan is incapable of taking it off without proper lubrication (lulz). ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬┤|ω є α ρ σ η • ∂ α т α|├▬ ▬▬┤|Sealed Zanpakutpo Zanpakuto Name: 四大城门 - Shihomon (Four Grand Gates) Zanpakuto Location: Yulan tends to disguise her Zanpakuto as an ornate golden khakkhara staff with a lotus design and in a ringed cage surrounding the golden flower. She can break the shell of the disguise by banging the staff against the ground three times. Zanpakuto Appearance: [x] Yulan's sealed Zanpakuto takes on the form of a standard black nodachi. There isn't anything special about the weapon apart from the crossguard that is shaped like a four-point compass needle (not depicted in the image). The nodachi is four feet in length and a hassle to carry, though Yulan makes deal with it just fine. Zanpakuto Spirit Appear.: Ever since Yulan achieved Bankai, Shiho no Mon's spirit takes on the form of a large, armored man with four distinct weapons protruding from his back. When standing side by side, the man easily towers over her and can hide her if she merely stands in front of him due to his massively muscled body. His face is normally hidden by the helmet he wears, and even Yulan has never seen what her Zanpakuto physically looks like in terms of his facial features. (See image on right) Zanpakuto Sword Type: Nodachi Zanpakuto Type: Kido, Mythological ▬▬┤|Shikai Release Shikai Name: 四天大官 - Shittenō (Four Heavenly Authorities) Shikai Incantation: "For the sun and the moon will never guide me as justly." Shikai Description: In Shikai form, Yulan's Nodachi takes on very little changes apart from gold finishing on the end of the sheath, Chinese symbols appearing all along the sheath, the cross guard becoming golden and rotatable and a strip of gold appearing on the hilt as a sort of fixed marking to match to the point of the 'compass' guard. Shittenō's abilities revolve around the four celestial entities guarding the directions in Chinese mythology/constellations. Each ability corresponds to one of the entities, and it's power reflects an aspect of what the entity may symbolize (ie. the entity itself, the corresponding element of the entity, etc.) Shikai Ability: In order for Yulan to access each power she must spin the compass to the specific direction and match the needle of the guard with the marking on the hilt.
[北方玄武 - (Black Tortoise of the North)] ~ Genbu Primarily used as a defensive technique, Genbu is a technique where Yulan slams the sheath of her sword down (whether onto the ground or into the air doesn't truly matter, it merely determines where the bottom of the barrier will be) onto a surface to produce a black barrier texturized to resemble the shape of a tortoise's thick protective shell. The barrier is unique in that it has a duel effect. One side of the shell (the more rough, sectioned side) provides defense against full-force, head-on attacks as it is much more thicker than the softer side. The defence provided by the harder side is said to be absolute, capable of withstanding even a direct hit from a cero without completely shattering, though at the end it would be severely worn down. The softer side, however, is capable of redirecting attacks by merely changing its direction. It does not give additional power to an attack (as in a doubling effect), it merely sends the original attack back in the opposite direction by sliding up/across the shell and then right off it. That being said, the soft side is known to be notoriously weaker than the hard side, making it most vulnerable to attacks as a direct hit from any high-level technique is sufficient to shatter it, especially if it is concentrated in any specific area on the soft side as opposed to a widespread attack. There is an four post cooldown for the technique to be reused.
[東方青龍 - (Azure Dragon of the East)] ~ Seiryu Seiryu is an offensive technique in which Yulan unleashes a wave of green/blue energy that takes on the shape of a greeny-blue Chinese dragon. This technique can be charged to increase its power, which will result in a burning green/blue blade until the attack is released. Once the wave of energy is released, the damage it causes is mostly blunt force, capable of smashing through buildings and knocking people back with ease. Individuals who are unfortunate enough to get caught in it may or may not be crushed or suffer from severe blunt force trauma, depending on the speed of the attack and whether there is any hard surface behind them. The width/height and length of the wave can be increased to improve the damage potential, but the more damaging the technique means the more time needed to be spent charging it. There is a two post cooldown for the technique to be reused, plus one for every post used to charge the attack.
[南方朱雀 - (Vermillion Bird of the South)] ~ Suzaku As an offensive technique, Yulan charges the base of her blade which produces a distinct red glow. She then launches the glow past the tip of her blade, which travels at incredible speeds towards her opponents, producing a high screeching noise that faintly resembles the sound of a bird's cry. Upon contact with any surface, the little orb of red will burst in powerful, explosive energy with effects similar to fireworks, unleashing both a powerful wave of energy, blinding light and deafening thunderous sound, which can leave opponents stunned even if the attack is not a direct hit. The blast radius is heavily dependent on how long Yulan charges the attack for, yet the longer she charges it, the slower the orb will travel and the easier it will be for her opponents to evade or completely avoid the attack. There is a three post cooldown for the technique plus one for every post used to charge the attack.
[西方白虎 - (White Tiger of the West)] ~ Byakko Quite possibly one of Yulan's strongest attacks, she must first sheath her sword before being able to use it. It is essentially a hyperspeed Iaidō attack in which Yulan unsheathes her sword, releases a wave of sharply condensed energy forward and sheathes her sword again in one swift motion that is so smooth it merely appears as if Yulan pulls the sword half-way out of its sheath before sheathing it again. The resulting wave is powerful enough to slice cleanly through steel, flesh and bone alike as if it were merely butter. The attack produces a thunderous roar that emulates the sound of a tiger. Depending on how much the attack is charged, a powerful shock wave may also be produced that damages the immediate surroundings. Due to the speed at which the attack is made, it is incredibly hard to dodge once unleashed, but her opponents can easily move out of range or prepare to react if they see her sheathing her blade and they are aware of this Zanpakuto ability. There is a four post cooldown plus one for every post used to charge the attack.
▬▬┤|Bankai Release
Bankai Name: 天宫大帝 - Tenchinō (Divine Emperor of Heaven and Earth) Bankai Description: In Bankai form, Yulan's Zanpakuto takes on an entirely different form, shrinking into a katana which is much lighter than her blade in sealed form and Shikai form. The sheath is black with gold designs and the blade always shines as if it had been newly polished. Yulan also undergoes a change in appearance, acquiring a layer of armor that includes a form-fitting intricately designed breastplate worn over her black uniform, a pair of metal-lined boots and a metal helmet. In the immediate area, the pressure skyrockets and the ground cracks under the pressure. While her Bankai is activated, Yulan's voice will resonate in the air and reach all corners of her surroundings if she so wishes. Bankai Ability:
[万兵剑舞 - (Dance of the Imperial Guards)] ~ Mai no Konoe Shidan Mai no Konoe Shidan is a powerful offensive/defensive technique that allows Yulan to summon forth four ethereal guards to surround her and provide her with temporary defense/offense either as extra hands to attack, or (less glamorously) meat shields for protection, though they are incapable of straying too far from Yulan (~100ft radius). The guards are heavily armored from head to toe, but the armor glows with its respective color - white, blue, red or black. The guards are masked as well. Each guard carries their own individual weapon - the black guard carries a thick shield and a spear, the white guard carries dual sabres, the red guard carries a flaming red fan and the blue guard carries a Chinese jian. They leave trails of white, blue, red or black fire depending on which guard is moving. They typically only last one post before running out of Reiryoku and dissipating, but are known to run on outside spiritual energy and their life-expectancy can be extended by one post per direct hit with a reiryoku-based attack (ie. Kido, Cero, Bala, Quincy Arrow, etc.). There is a six post cooldown before the technique can be reused.
[千金大舞 - (Dance of the Grand Treasury)] ~ Mai no Kokko Mai no Kokko is a unique offensive technique in which Yulan raises her katana in the air and then brings it down in a swift motion to cause coin-shaped projectiles to rain down onto the immediate area within a fiftyy foot radius. It is a unique technique in that once the object makes contact with any surface, it sticks and begins to melts into a thick, sticky, syrup-like substance that blobs together and constantly shifts around. Getting caught in the substance makes it incredibly hard to move around in, but on the downside even Yulan can be affected by it if she doesn't move away from the area in time or take the necessary means to protect herself. The syrup is highly and dangerously reactive, and can be set alight with even a simple high-energy kido spell, causing the substance to first bubble and produce extreme heat, and then explode with immense force and heat. There is a four post cooldown for the technique to be reused.
[刽子手舞 - (Dance of the Executioner)] ~ Mai no Funkei Mai no Funkei is a quick, powerful attack where Yulan produces large, powerful white arcs of energy with her katana. The arcs are short-distance, but the power they pack is immense, especially if a direct hit is made. It is essentially an improved version of Byakko, where multiple arcs can be formed and rapidly due to the size and weight of Yulan's Bankai and the lack of a need for a sheath as Yulan merely draws the arcs in the air with her blade. There is a two post cooldown for every arc used.
[龙凤战舞 - (Dance of the Dragon and the Phoenix)] ~ Mai no Ryū to Hōō Regarded as Yulan's final and most powerful technique, the Dance of the Dragon and the Phoenix unleashes the full force of Yulan's Zanpakuto by producing a massive and high-energy explosion. It is a technique that can only be used once every time she enters into Bankai state, and after use it will leave her physically and mentally drained as well as severely injured due to the nature of the explosion. It begins at her blade before immediately expanding within mere seconds to the full blast radius, unleashing a massive amount of energy whilst reishi particles gather to form an animated Chinese style dragon and Phoenix which fly in and out of the explosion in a brilliant display of energy and color. The constructs then explode in the center once again, expanding the blast radius to nearly double what it was and decimating everything in the original radius. Due to the nature of this attack, however, Yulan will be unable to use her Bankai for upwards of a week, and it will leave her on the verge of death if she has enough reiryoku to sustain herself through it all as she is forced to stay stationary in the epicenter of the blast.

By that respect, death is not something she fears. Ilse views the hardships and challenges that one faces along their journey as a necessary step towards advancement as a sentient being capable of higher-order processing. Though she respects that all 'living' organisms have the right to live, she believes strongly in the concept of 'survival of the fittest' and has no trouble with cutting a life short so long as there was a purpose to her actions. Personality: On the exterior, Ilse is a very cold and calculating woman. That being said, Ilse is also a woman of theatrics and is known to be a terrific liar. It is not uncommon for Ilse to hide behind a mask of emotion and play it out to perfection, making it nearly impossible to fully predict what the woman is scheming in the back of her mind. She tends to be soft-spoken and will almost never be seen raising her voice as she has other ways of getting her point across.
Ilse presents herself as a very elegant, eloquent and refined woman of bountiful and exotic tastes. She has an air of dignity and pure sexuality about her that is unmistakeable, but in that respect Ilse is very much so a tease. By pure definition alone, Ilse can be considered the epitome of a true femme fatale. Yet underneath the glitz and glamour of her facade lies a vain, twisted, sadistic and masochistic beast with very little moral or ethical standards - the very primal self that she began her Hollow-life as. That Ilse is capable of masking this beast so well is a true testament to her progress over the centuries, but every so often the the woman is known to indulge in her own pleasures to keep the beast at bay.
Strictly speaking, Ilse is a woman who knows what she wants and will stop at nothing to get see her dreams or goals through, but it is not in her style to use brute force or direct attacks - instead, she operates in the shadows and behind the curtains, using her beauty, charm and intelligence to sway the tides in her favour. That isn't to say Ilse is weak or incapable of attacking by any means, no, she finds pleasure in playing and toying with others and views killing merely as a means to tie up loose ends. The real fun lies in the dangerous game of cat and mouse.

Ilse was once known by the name Jeyne Frost, a fair maiden of the British Empire who was widely acclaimed for her beauty and her status as the wife of the King's Chief Advisor. In her youth Jeyne grew up on the family estate in Wales. Her family came from old money and had a long history of nobility, so as a means to keep the bloodline pure, Jeyne was betrothed to William Frost long before she was born. When she was old enough to marry, William was a man grown and nearly thrice her age, but in a time where such an arrangement was not uncommon, Jeyne was fine and rather happy about her proposal. She travelled to London, and less than a month after arriving Jeyne was married in a lavish ceremony. Yet she soon came to resent her own status and obligations as Frost's true colors began to show - the man was a brute, a drunk, and a glutton who was quick to take his frustrations out on his wife given the opportunity. Jeyne, being the kind-hearted soul that she was, gave him the benefit of the doubt, believing that his pent up anger came as a part of his high-stress job. She'd put on a brave face and take every form of abuse he threw at her without protest.
Day by day, her view of humanity and salvation became dimmer and dimmer, and sought ways to escape the harsh realities before her - it was the only thing she could do given her circumstances. By the age of eighteen Jeyne hit an all time low, when Lord Frost resorted to intense physical and sexual abuse to derive pleasure and inner peace. It was then that the woman felt completely and utterly useless and began to question her own existence - what was her purpose? Why had she been created, if all she was good for was to be used and tossed away like trash. She contemplated suicide, but pulled herself through by the sheer force of willpower, though by then her mental state was slipping. She began to lash out, and when the veil of madness had finally came over her, Jeyne murdered her husband in cold blood. As the legend goes, Jeyne first poisoned her husband before inflicting non-lethal wounds on his persons until he died of blood loss, where she then proceeded to 'consume the evidence' until she was detained by the authorities. After a short period of confinement, Jeyne was burned at the stake on charges of murder, blasphemy/heresy, high treason, and conspiracy against the crown.
Her death was slow and painful. The process itself took some one to two hours, and she died when her body had finally been consumed by the flames. A tormented soul bound to the mortal plane, Jeyne’s madness transcended into the realm of the spiritual world, which only served to expedite her transformation process. As she transitioned from a Plus to a Hollow and her heart was consumed, the woman retained some of her former self, but her primal instincts took hold of her mind, and after finding her way to Hueco Mundo, the long and tedious evolutionary process took place. For the first century or so, Ilse had no sense of direction, no sense of self, and no idea as to what she was doing. She was merely satisfying some insatiable hunger, a thirst for power, a need to feed. The rush she got from pure carnage and gore was all she lived for, and even her own name was something that she’d never really cared much for. All she wanted was to consume. Hundreds, if not thousands of hollows and living souls fell to satisfy her, but the more she fed, the more and more cognisant she became and the less clouded her thoughts were. She became aware of her hunger, and questioned it to some extent, but the bloodshed didn’t stop, nor would it for the centuries to come.
Ilse fought her way to the top of the food chain, proving her worth as a female Hollow. In the deserts of Hueco Mundo she was known as La Araña Roja, or the Red Spider. Her Adjuchas form was almost humanoid, save for her exterior shell-like exoskeleton/armour and the black and white mask that covered all of her face. A dangerous adversary to any wandering hollow or menos, Ilse was known to attack her prey with such stealth and precision that they never realized their demise until they were paralyzed and being devoured. The inevitable descending spiral towards existential crisis came once again as Ilse began to ponder the grand scheme of things. Why was she fighting? What was the purpose of her existence, if not to endlessly devour? The simple pleasures of her life were fading, and sheer boredom took its place. Ilse reflected on herself, on hollows in general, and sought to find the truth to her conception. Where did hollows come from? What role did they play in the grand scheme of life and death? Who was she, both before her death, and after becoming a hollow? It was at that point of her life when Ilse had officially chosen a name for herself, which gave her some sense of reassurance as to who she was – not just some red spider, but Ilse Payne, the Spider of the White Sands.
But all in all she was dissatisfied with her own self perception. The questions still lingered in her mind, constantly tormenting her to the point where she began to hesitate in battle and lose her taste for hollows. In her journey to self-discovery, Ilse made her first encounter with Caelum. At first she despised the man. Who did he think he was? She thought of him as mere trash, made of the same fodder like any other hollow. Yet it took little convincing for Ilse to realize he was different… unlike the rest of them. She was inspired by him, she even aspired to be him, though at that point Ilse wasn’t willing to admit it. After that chance encounter, Ilse swore to dedicate her life to serve The Dark King in exchange for his mentorship and enlightenment. Ilse has served the Caelum wholeheartedly for centuries, promising never to leave his side as a member of his Fraccion. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬┤|c σ м в α т • ∂ α т α|├▬ Reiatsu Color: Red (Unsealed); Black (Resurreccion) Reiryoku Level: High

Strengths: • Physicality/Combat Prowess – With centuries of training, Ilse is a conditioned combatant highly skilled in using her unique weapon and Resureccion. Her skill set is more fine-tuned for quick and quiet kills, though Ilse has found herself in many direct combat situations where could hold her own with limited difficulty. This is due in part to her rigorous physical conditioning and her nonstop practice. • Soindo – Ilse focuses a lot of her time and attention to Soindo, as it is considered an essential technique in order to use her Zanpakuto/Resurreccion properly. Weaknesses: • Lust and Love – Ilse has a tendency to lose her train of thought in the presence of individuals she considers attractive. Though it is rare she’ll open up to an attarctive stranger immediately upon meeting them, such an occurrence is not unheard of. • Feral Rage – In the event that Ilse loses control of her emotions and her primal side is unleashed, Ilse tends to go into a blood lusting, frenzied state in which she attacks anyone and everyone around her. Though she generally has this under wraps, the one thing that can trigger her into this state is if she doesn’t ‘feed’ within a month’s time from her last ‘meal’. Fears: • Fire – For reasons unknown to Ilse, she has a slight aversion to fire. At the best of times, the sight of fire will make her go numb and make her heart race, but at the worst of times it can leave her mentally incapacitated. Fire is perhaps the one thing that can bring her out of her feral state. • Losing a Loved One

Zanpakuto Location: Each of her ten fingers. Zanpakuto Appearance: See picture on the right, though imagine the woman is wearing a ring on each finger. Zanpakuto Type: Toxin/Venom Zanpakuto Abilities:
Seda Gruesa – Unlike most Arrancar, Ilse’s sealed Zanpakuto takes on a very unique form, which gives rise to a unique ability not seen amongst the ranks of the Arrancar. Ilse refers to her primary weapon in its sealed form as ‘La Seda Gruesa’, which translates to ‘Coarse Silk’. Instead of taking on the standard bladed appearance of most Zanpakuto, Ilse’s weapon are a set of five razor sharp wires that extend from her finger tips. The wires essentially give Ilse what she refers to as five fluid swords, due to the fact that the wires themselves are as sharp as any blade and capable of cutting through most material with ease depending on how Ilse directs them. Her wires are ‘drawn’ when she touches her fingers together and pulls them apart a part again, which results in elongated fingertips that almost appear claw-like. By controlling the flow of reiryoku through the wires, Ilse can direct them almost like an extension of her own limbs. She can also manipulate their length, though the longer she makes the wire, the shorter her fingertips become until her fingers reach normal length. They have a silvery metallic appearance and sheen and the thickness of a single strand of hair. Despite their general appearance, the wires themselves have considerable durability, comparable to that of metal.
▬▬┤|Resurrección Resurrección Name: Reino Hilo Etymology: Spanish origin, meaning “thread kingdom”. Resurrección Incantation: Hila (Spin) Resurrección Description: Upon the command, Ilse’s spiritual pressure spikes and her blood-red aura is polluted by the presence of black discoloration that eventually dominates by the end of her transformation. Appearance-wise, the protrusions along Ilse’s spine extend outwards and branches into two to wrap around her body – the top spike forms the top portion of Ilse’s ‘armor’, which is essentially two thick and flattened bands of vertical skeletal material that covers her chest by wrapping over her shoulders and then down towards her torso , while the last two protrusions wrap around her ribcage and end just before where her hollow hole is. Meanwhile the protrusions from Ilse’s elbows sink into her body and become black glove-like constructs around her forearms and hands. The rings melt into the gloves, giving them golden details that swirl around the fingers and travel up the forearm. For her bottom half, a skeletal ring forms around her hips, while two elongated strips of cloth cover up the front and back of her lower half, but leaves both sides of her legs exposed. Ilse appears to wear a pair of black knee-high stiletto boots as well. Resurrección Ability:
Abrigo de Piel – One of Ilse’s passive abilities, ‘abrigo de piel’ translates to ‘fur coat’, which refers to the hairs (ultricating bristles) that cover the body of a spider. The hairs serve as a mechanism for sensing danger in the immediate area. Similar to this adaptation, Ilse gains a ‘sixth sense’ of sorts upon entering her Resurreccion state, allowing her to sense immediate danger and react accordingly. This especially comes in handy in situations where enemies are trying to sneak up on her, as she can generally feel their presence within a certain range regardless of how well they hide. As a result of this sort of danger intuition, when people do strike there’s an odd chance that her defense/counter comes even before her assailant can even lay a finger on her. Presencia Delicada – A second of Ilse’s passive abilities, ‘presencia delicada’ translates to ‘delicate presence’. In her Resurreccion form, Ilse is capable of subconsciously dampening the sounds that she makes to the point where she’s virtually soundless. This makes sneaking up on others and spying in the shadows extremely easy for her once in Resurreccion form. Seda Fina – Similar to Seda Gruesa, Seda Fina is translated to ‘fine silk’ which reflects the wire’s appearance compared to seda gruesa. In this form, the wires are thinner than a quarter of the width of human hair nearly indiscernible to the naked eye. Given sufficient lighting, the metallic sheen of the wire can be seen with every movement, but in general it becomes very difficult to see where her wire is due to its thinness, which forces her opponents to keep on their toes lest they be tangled and dismembered. Picadura – Channeling Ilse’s natural toxigenesis abilities, the full potential of her deadly venom is unleashed in her Resurreccion ability. Ilse channels a vast amount of venom into two of her wires, and as a result, the two venomous wires will glow green for the duration that venom is coursing through them. If even the smallest of cut is made on her opponent by the venomous wires, a potentially lethal dosage of venom is then released into the opponent’s body, causing a range of diverse and even potentially fatal symptoms to occur within a short span of time. Effects of her venom can range from excessive pain in the local area to localized swelling to extreme nausea and vomiting to muscle spasms/loss of muscle control/paralysis to necrosis of the injured area and even death by asphyxiation. ▬▬┤|Segunda Etapa Segunda Etapa Name: - Segunda Etapa Incantation: - Segunda Etapa Description: - Segunda Etapa Ability: - ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬┤|т є c н η ι q υ є ѕ|├▬ ▬▬┤|Known Hollow Techniques ▬▬┤|Your List • Bala • Cero • Hierro • Gonzui • Pesquisa • Negación • Garaganta • Cero Oscuras (Resurreccion Form) ▬▬┤|Custom Techniques • Cero Telaraña - Ilse is capable of performing a unique Cero from her mouth known as the 'Cobweb Hollow Flash'. Instead of exploding upon contact, the Cero (which is fired in the form of a ball no bigger than an apple) will first rapidly expand outwards in a complex net-like mesh once released. The net, once it comes in contact with an individual, will tangle and ensnare them, acting almost like a glue of sorts. Once the net reaches its maximum size, it then releases all its stored energy in one large explosion, affecting all who are tangled in the web. • El Besito - Ilse is capable of releasing a small and highly dilute amount of venom into the bloodstream of others via skin-to-skin contact. This is most commonly administered through a kiss, which is why Ilse named the technique 'El Besito'. Though the venom is generally nowhere near potent enough to kill or severely harm an individual, and at most the effects will only last several (1-2) posts. Depending on the dosage and type of venom Ilse administers, a vast array of effects could be observed, ranging from one extreme of temporary paralysis to another extreme of sensory and bodily arousal and a state of ultimate alertness, and all the range of effects in between.
