THE AMITYVILLE HOUSE CUP
The Awful Obstacle Race!

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Rising up from the center of the arena, the obstacle course towers high up in the air. The course starts out fairly normal, but then proceeds, in true Amityville fashion, to get increasingly awful and ridiculous. A helicopter circles nearby, where a gnome in aviators waits with a sniper rifle ready should anybody use flight abilities to their advantage.

Overall it looks like a lot of fun!

To watch.

HOW TO

THIS CHALLENGE WILL BE OPEN UNTIL 10-14, 11:59pm PST

  • There are 5 sections to this race.
  • Roll 1d6 for each sections prompts and points. You may roll sections separately or together.
  • RP it out. You can totally post non-rolling rp posts and interact with other player characters if you want.
  • Check your character's stats here. Do not use the gaia thread.
  • Speed Stat: distribute your speed stat to section point totals (not the dice rolls themselves.) This is your character's speed helping them get through that section more quickly, and even avoiding what would have happened due to your roll.
  • Luck Stat: this is the wild card stat, you can choose to use it for this event, or save it for Quiz or Tug-O-War challenge instead. If you choose to use it here, use it the same way as the Speed Stat, only this time it represents your character being saved by being lucky.
  • When you're done, fill out and post the correct form for your character in thread.

Section 1

The race starts at the course's highest point which inclines dramatically downward in series of sharp, unforgiving turns. At the end of the section, a wall of fire greets you, followed by a sudden fall that's best avoided!

Rolling Results

1: You fall and have to climb back up onto the course, it takes awhile. 0 points
2: You have a bad accident, but manage to stay on the course. 2 points
3: You were doing well but another student sabotage's your progress either on accident or intentionally. 4 points
4: You aren't doing too bad, just a few accidents! 6 points
5: You actually kind of good at this! You get through things fairly quickly! 8 points
6: You speed through like a pro, possibly a few students that got in your way were knocked down or otherwise hindered by your awesome dash through the section. It's hard to tell since you were going too fast to really tell. 10 points

Section 2

The climbing wall is completely without handholds while slippery green slime seeps down from the top. What follows is a number of spiked hurdles, but that's pretty normal. What isn't is the series of three giant red balls sitting on perches that bob precariously on water. Who the jack came up with those?!

Rolling Results

Section 3

What looks like a spikey pit is actually celebrated Amityville alumnus, Steve! Using his skillful growth and building blend ability, he patiently awaits unwitting students that try to jump over him, snapping them up and spitting them out playfully. You're such a kidder, Steve! Next students hav to navigate past some oversized, overly-affectionate Bombs! One touch and BOOM! Once through, they just have to jump a few precariously crumbling pillars!

Section 5

Almost done! The final stretch proves to be a slippery situation when first ice awaits the students, followed by a large slick of oil! With the finish line nearly within reach, the ground begins to sink underfoot and becomes a difficult slog, as the finish line sits on a neck deep pit of mud!

This...looked like it was gonna hurt.

Astra peered down at the tiny specks that were the spectators, then up at the helicopter gnome with a glare. What was it with everyone making sure they couldn't fly when they needed to? Hmph! She thought about doing it anyway, but wasn't about to push her luck.

When the starter gun was fired, the fairy was off like a lighting bolt down the track. She could feel the floor drop beneath her as the track began to go downhill, and her speed increased. She was almost flying! She was then greeted with a wall of fire, and since she was going so fast she had no choice but to jump through the wall, and over the steep drop. Once on the other side she took a moment to stop, drop, and roll, with with a few whimpers she was moving on.

The climbing wall seemed to be the most difficult as she nearly lost her grip on the wall, but the fae wasn't going to let that get her down. Putting on a burst of speed she clawed her way through the slime and then once on top she bounced of the bouncy balls with ease. This course was reminding her of terror warrior.

She then breezed through the next section, managing to jump over Steve and dodge the large fireballs, and then with some more jumping navigated the crumbling pillars.

The next section...she didn't so so well. Jumping in, Astra took a few seconds to realize holy jack she could hardly swim and coughing and spluttering came up for air, trying to flail/swim towards a solid obstacle. It happened to be a giant minipet, and after a few bites she found the motivation to move her tiny butt to the other side. Puffing, Astra used the last of her speed to get her through the next part, the ice and oil not slowing her down as she used the slipperiness to slide to the bog, her small form allowing her to get through the mud and over the finish line.

There she collapsed in a heap.

The dragon ghoul took a few moments to look over the course, stretching her body to warm it up before the upcoming challenge. It definitely looked challenging, but she wasn't deterred. More then that, she couldn't wait to start.

The gun had barely fired before poke had leaped off the starting line, running as fast as she could with every intention of speeding through every obstacle. This...was easier said then done however.

No sooner had the track begun to angel downwards had the dragoness run into some strife. With wide eyes she found herself running faster then intended, and before long her body had tipped forwards, sending her falling to the ground in a rolling mass. She scrambled to her feet and kept going, and ended up falling a few more times before jumping over the wall of fire.

The next part was also a pain in the a**. Her sharp claws found little to no purchase in the slippery walls, and it took a little extra time for her to make it to the top. The spiked hurdles were no issue to her at least, but the bouncing balls made her stop and wonder who the hell put them there. At least they weren't to difficult to get over.

She kept running until she reached a gap, taking a running leap to reach the other side. She never made it that far, as a giant mouth swallowed the dragon ghoul hole. She was them dumped on the other side, Steve looking smug, Poke shouting and swearing at the monster. Because a dragon being swallowed was utterly shameful, and she nearly transformed there and then before realizing she was still in the course.

And then came the water part....All her ******** yeahs. Without pause she jumped from the side in a graceful dive, hitting the water and speeding off like a torpedo. Any shark minipet or student that got near got a nasty punch, and a toothy win that warned them that she hadn't had lunch yet. In a rush of water she was out of it, not missing a beat as she kept running. Oooh she was in the zone!

Well, she was, until she hit the ice. And slid right off the course. More colorful curse words could be heard as she clambered back up, then more carefully ran through and through the finish line.

Ruth stared at the obstacle course with utmost glee. She loved these sort of things. Ability, talent, and skill notwithstanding. These things were just fun. And painful. She didn't mind that part at all. She enjoyed it, actually. Especially when it happened to someone else. When the start signal was given, the reaper rushed forward, sliding down and stopping just short of the wall of fire. Okay, that particular type of pain was more enjoyable if it happened to someone else. She braced herself for the heat and leaped through, managing to avoid the pit and landed on the other side.

Continuing to the second section, the reaper tackled the wall without any hesitation. Maybe she ought to have taken some precaution because as she landed on the other side, the slime clinging to her ended up causing her considerable delay. She had to clean as much of it off as she could before she could make it past the three bright red balls.

Stumbling onto the third section, Ruth was glad for her type of weapon. While she wasn't allowed to hard Steve, since he did spit her back out, the pipe was useful in setting off Bombs before they got too close to her. The blasts still sent her stumbling and slowed her down but overall, it was an improvement in her performance.

Then came the fourth stage. Even though swimming wasn't one of her strong suits, she jumped into the water. Only to fall prey to some other students pushing her into the grasp of an aquatic minipet. Times like this, she wished she was of a bulkier build. Summing her pipe, she made sure she'd cause someone else to mess up after her.

Out of breath, and disoriented from the struggle of her swim, the ice sent Ruth careening off course and forcing her to climb back up onto the course.

The monster horse took off in a mad dash through the obstacle course. His pace was slowed down considerably thanks to some of the other students having been shoved into his way by those who just blew past. The tikbalang had to smirk at his performance, he knew he could do better than this but that didn't mean he was giving up. He jumped through the flames, long legs stretching over the chasm and landing on the other side.

The wall proved difficult for the tikbalang to scale, but a burst of innate speed helped see him up and zipping past the spiked hurdles as well as the red punching balls.

At the third section, Petro just grinned. He managed to time the jumps the other students were taking and as Steve snapped at one, he took the opportunity to get past him. The bombs were a bit trickier to get past, but changing into his natural form had him dodging them with ease and leaping over crumbling pillars while they still stood.

Without even changing back to his student form, the tikbalang dove into the water. He was doing fairly well when a pipe smacked into his leg. Grunting, he kicked past the pain and continued on, dodging the underwater obstacles and nearly getting caught by an alumni. He, uh, may have punched someone but it was all in the name of the game.

At the slick and slippery portion of the course, Petro could see the finish line. His size and bulk helped him through, adjusting both balance and stance, he got to the mud pit quickly. He took to the slog with no issue at all, and while he couldn't outright say he excelled, he was pretty good at it.

Clara stood at the starting point of the course, looking at the various obstacles she knew she would have to face spiral downward to the finish line. She wished she could forget the sight of some of them, namely the three red balls of pain and the swimming section, but she was going to be seeing them very soon and up close. At the sound of the start, she ran as fast as her legs would take her, somewhat glad that they were running downhill because there would be no way she would make it past the fire wall if they were running uphill. Maybe whoever designed the course at least had the smallest glimpse of a soul?

The tiger ghost quickly made her way through the turns, careful to stay on the inside of the course and slowing down ever so slightly to make sure she didn't accidently run off the side. As she saw the wall of fire approaching, she picked up speed before bending her knees and making a huge leap. Turning her head back, Clara breathed a sigh of relief that she had made the excessive jump because had she not, she would have fallen into the large hole immediately following the fire.

Next up was the climbing wall. Clara stared at it with disbelief, unsure of how to start, watching as other students struggled as well. Tentatively, she started climbing, but there was nothing to hold on to and any progress she made was met with the disgusting ooze that inevitably dragged her back down. On one of her many attempts, a student kicked a whole face full of the nasty green stuff at her, followed by what she was sure was a foot in her face as the student used Clara as a stepping stone. Clara thought she heard a muffled apology, but she was too annoyed and some of the ooze had gotten into her ear for her to tell. By some miracle, she eventually made it to the top and slid down the other side. Clara could barely remember making it past the red giant balls, but that was probably due to trauma.

Oh Steve. Clara knew she wasn't going to make it past him, so she half made an attempt to jump over the pit/alumnus, and allowed Steve to spit her back out. There weren't any huge problems except Clara got too close to several Bombs and well, everyone knows what happens when you get too close.

Clara took a deep breath before jumping into the water. Oh how she hated water. Soon after entering, Clara opened her eyes and was surprised that nothing was attacking her. Perhaps all the alumni and minis were distracted by other students? She didn't waste the opportunity and kicked as hard as she could until she reached the other end. Before she could even shake the water off, Clara felt herself slipping...on ice. Oh boy. There were going to be many sick students after this. She could feel the water on her clothes start to freeze but did nothing as the ice changed to oil and oil into mud, picking speed as she continued through the course. The momentum carried her past the finish line, where she just laid there, sinking into the mud, too exhausted to move.

"Well, it could have been worse." Clara thought. She could easily give what she just experienced a 11 out of 10 on the suffering scale, but knowing who was in charge, Clara knew that this wasn't going to compare to what was probably in store for her and the other students.

Lihua knew she had to give it her best. She had to pull this off and do this for her dorm. Shr got her self set and ready for the race. I should have payed more attention in gym class. The wall of fire was not something she was happy to,see. She putted on more speed and tried to jump over the wall with touching the fire.

The nrxt wall she saw had some nasty green looking stuff on it. She should have brought some antibsctial soap looks, like it was going to get messy. She frowned when she saw the red balls stinking out of the water. She could do this she really could do this. She jumped on top of the first ball and bounced on the second. She tought she would get to bounce on the next ball but was kicked in the head by one of the other competitor s.

She heard about Steve from other classmatrs. She jumped over him and looked back to stick her tongue out at him only to accidently lrun into a bomb. The last thing she knew was flying into the air and falling on a spike.

"Ouch."

She picked herself up and dusted off her dress and continued on the race. When she saw the water part of the race she smilled. This she can do she spreading out her arms and got ready to jump into the water inly to fall flat in her face in the process. She hoped she wasnt embrassing herself.

She got through the race with just s fee accidents. She threw herself on the ground and sighed in relief.

Davyne was off as soon as the start signal came, confident in her chances in this race. After all, she was a ghoul with a logical mind and surely obstacle races were made for such creeple!

Indeed she did rather well in the beginning, keeping her pace steady on the incline and seamlessly avoiding falling off the sharp turns the track offered. At the very least, until another competitor hurtled by her and made her lose her footing - having been near the edge of the track, this was a most unfortunate thing indeed. But in a truly fortuitious turn of event, Davyne managed to grab hold of the edge of the track before falling clean off, and after a minute of struggling, she managed to haul herself up on the track again - but it had been a close call, and though she would not admit it had anyone been around to ask, she was more than a bit rattled.

Nevertheless she made it through the wall of fire and narrowly made the jump over the sudden fall that followed it. It was not the sort of smooth performance she would normally have been proud of, however. Both had been a closer call than she would have liked.

And this would not do - she was representing Reapers today, and substandard performance was not to be tolerated! With that thought in mind, she threw herself into scaling the climbing wall that came next - and though the slime and lack of handholds made for a few more close calls, she made good time on the wall.

The spiked hurdles were easier, but the large red balls in the water made her stop and ponder her strategy for a few seconds. In the end, they too were defeated with relative ease however.

Being swallowed and spit out was quite disorienting, but a second of blinking at Steve and Davyne was off again. She was doing rather well, in her own estimation at least, and weaving nimbly between Bombs when the collision of another student sent her hurtling straight into a fiery Bomb. Had it been done on purpose? She could not say, truly, for it had happened too fast and the ensuing explosion effectively took up her attention and stopped her from seeing the culprit. Said explosion left her quite singed, and the ghoul spent another few precious seconds in the race on putting out the little fire that had started at the hem of one pants leg.

One deep breath and a mental pep-talk later though, she went on to the pillars and although her foot nearly slid off one time, she made it through that obstacle as well.

Only to plop straight into the water portion of the race. Davyne immediately and instinctively panicked, desperately twisting and forgetting all about what she'd learned of swimming or even, for that matter, floating; for what felt like an indeterminable period of time, she fought the water and nearly managed to get herself caught in a nearby net. At the very last second, her motor skills finally kicked and at last she managed to remember and utilize what she'd been taught about swimming in time to avoid the net and get back to the surface.

With her head now on straight, the rest of the swimming course went considerably easier.

The slippery last course of the race gave her considerable trouble, and it was only through willpower and perseverance that she made it to the last stretch, made of mud. Here she encountered greater difficult, as the mud was wont to let her traipse through it and actually making it to the finish line took her quite a while.

But she did it. In the end, wet, dripping with mud, clothes singed, Davyne had managed to finish the entire obstacle race. It was a personal triumph indeed, but at this very moment, all she could think of was a hot shower and a fresh change of outfit.

Everything was pretty intense...

The little ghost ghoul took a few deep breaths as she looked over the threatening course. Bang! And the race began. She ran, zooming past a lot of the other students, instinct kicking her in the butt and making her somehow get make all those unforgiving turns. Bu-bu-but fire? She felt her heart skip a beat, but she made it without any scorch marks.

Already panting she has to start scaling a wall. Her hands clutching, on for dear life and her feet slipping a few time. It wasn't easy but she made it past the slime and eventually the big red balls.

Next was Steven? Ugh no thanks. Luckily someone else was currently being chewed on.... she made it past with ease. Still a little on edge, from Steven, Eira was super alert. Not a bomb or some sketchy pillar were going to mess her up now.

One big gulp of air would hopefully be enough, right? The poltergeist had always been a friend of minipets.... and that sure held true in the water too. Two large noise sharks, were splashing around trying to get to eat know her. She had to do some zig zagging and hiding behind nets to make it.

She climbed out of the water, panting and fearing for her life (normal day in Amity) and began the final stretch. For a while she ran in place having no idea she was on ice and not moving. The ghoul peered down and just as she noticed landed flat on her butt. Pain (another normal part of Amity) crept of her body. She crippled over, but she started to slide down the course.... By the time she made it the the oil slick she was actually gaining some speed. So she finished out the race by sliding in on her belly.

Covered in oil, clothes tattered, and breathing heavy.... but things could of been a lot worse. She threw her hands up in the air to give a small cheer, "
Whoo!" before putting them back down in pain.

Yes, yes yes! This was exciting. This was her thing. Mei had practically trained for obstacle course type things all her Undead life in Halloween. She felt exhilirated as her gym shirt fluttered against her body from the wind generated by the nearby Gnome helicopter that was taking off.

She didn't have to worry about them though. At least she hoped not.

When the race began she was off like a shot. Speeding down the twisting and turning path. Passing student after student as she navigated her way through. Though she was a bit ehhhh about the wall of fire, but after settling her nerves she backed up, took a flying leap and propelled herself off another nearby student's head. Using it as a stepping stone to get herself over the wall. The sudden fall after that was a surprise but she managed to leap over that hole as well.

As she made her way along, the Jiang Shi felt pretty good until all of a sudden she tripped over something and went falling face first into the dirt. A particularly nasty looking student laughed as they passed her by. "Hey! You tripped me you jerk!" Oh just you wait she would get even. She clambered up the wall, around the spikes and hopped tentatively across the red balls placed on water.

What the jack?

Next up a pit of spikes....wait no! IT WAS STEVE!! "Ah ah!" She managed to avoid being caught, giving the Alumni a grin and a wave as she scurried on past. Dodging the bombs, and gently shoving a student in her way into one of them, she hopped and skipped over the pillars like no bodies business.

As she approached the water, Meixiang dove in head first. The water cool against her Undead skin. It was a nice relief. She had been starting t sweat just a little bit. It wasn't until the large aquatic minipet zipped past her that she realized just how surrounded she was in this poo. Talk about an under the sea moment! She had to keep herself from stopping to pet all the cute minipets. As she went to climb out of the pool she felt someone pull her leg and drag her back down into the water.

Sputtering she kicked until her leg was let go. She was not something for others to use to pull themselves up with!

She could see the finish line upon the pile of mud. But when her sneakers hit the ice she went sailing. Arms flailing and feet shuffling about until she finally caught her balance. Skiing across the ice. The oil slick was a bit trickier to navigate and she nearly fell face first into it a couple of times. The ground grew thick and Mei had a hard time lifting her feet as the squishy ground made a sucking noise the entire way.

Gross!

Finally though she made it across the finish line. A grin on her face as she pumped a fist into the air. "Lets do it again!"

Mathias definitely thought that he had this part of the little competition in the bag. An obstacle course? Pah! He could do such a thing with his eyes closed and with his wings tied down...which for the latter at least was probably a good thing since if he might have gotten shot down for trying to fly anyways. The wings were still quite weak, however, and he could not yet quite manage to get himself fully off of the ground so it was all a moot point anyways!

But he didn't need them anyways. All he needed was his strength and speed and flexibility and cunning and....Okay so maybe he was getting a bit carried away.

Hopping around a little impatiently at the start of the course, the wolpertinger took some time to stretch his legs and arms, getting himself limbered up and ready to go go gooooo. He had left his boots back down at the bottom, opting for bare, furry, black clawed feet, knowing that he would get better traction this way.

The race began. Mathias took off. It was all going really well to start with, the young boil speeding along down the hill with lengthy, leaping like steps, his little fists pumping at his sides. A turn here, a turn there, and he was kicking up dust in his wake. Nothing could stop him. Nothi---

A foot could stop him, especially a well placed one by the competitor racing directly to his left. The wolpertinger stumbled, nearly fell, regained his footing, and skidded a ways down the steep incline, nearly faltering his way past one of the sharp turns but keeping himself from falling off of the ledge by mere inches. With teeth bared, and a disgusted sound in his throat, he continued on.

The climbing wall took barely any time at all, his black claws gripping it tightly as he scaled it with wings tucked in snugly behind him. After that, he had no trouble at all leaping over each hurdle, his legs strong even in student form. And then...balls floating on water? Well, okay! He jumped across those as well and made it to the other side quickly, feeling like he was now making up for lost time.

And that's when things went terribly wrong. The wolpertinger zoomed past the next obstacle, but the one after sent him toppling off of the course, and he was forced to go back to the beginning to start again. Luckily, he had speed on his side, and since he had done it once before, it did not take him much time to get back to where he had been, getting through each until...oh hey! more jumping things! He was great at jumping, so that took no time at all.

The next area had him getting into the water and swimming, which was one thing Mathias might actually admit to not being great at. He just..hated getting his wings wet, really. Soggy feathers were the worst! Still, he wanted to prove himself, here, so he quickly dove straight into the depths, swimming his way through a few obstacles that nearly entrapped him, but eventually, he made it through, relatively unscathed.

The end was in sight, now, and the wolpertinger was not about to slow down or err on the side of caution when he was just so close to finishing. Head first into the ice, and then the oil, and then a leap across the muddy slog, or an attempt at a leap anyways. He couldn't exactly gain any traction and it mostly just sent him stumbling and nearly falling again, but this time he persevered and sloshed his way through the mud and to the finish line with a smile

That had been the best ever. He wanted to do it again! And again and again and again....

A race? Alexander barely felt it was even worth it for him to try, but for the sake of the Undead Team...well, he figured it would be for the best if he at least got his bony butt up there and gave it an honest go. At the starting line, he shuffled into place, hands in his pockets, reminding himself that he didn't need to win, he just needed to finish. He could go slow, he didn't have to go super fast and make terrible mistakes. He could just do this at his own pace.

And so, he did.

He mosey'd on through the first course, shuffling his way through the sharp turns and...yes, he did actually almost fall off of the edge at one point despite his slow speed. Still, he continued on, determined to see this through.

He continued to amble his way through the second part, though he found climbing the wall easy enough with his zombie death grip. On the other side, however, a complete horror to his mismatched eyes. Hurdles? Things to actually jump over? He opted to just sort of...walk through them, the spikes a bit of a nuisance that tore into his Fear shield and through his clothes. He was suddenly glad he wasn't wearing anything that nice.

Through the third part, he actually managed to somehow do okay. Maybe the slow and steady worked well when navigating through bombs? Whatever the case, he made it through with relative ease, only to crinkle his nose up at what came next.

Water. He hated water. He couldn't swim, but he also didn't need to breathe, so walking along the bottom was not out of the question. He slogged his way in, and down, and further down still. He got himself nearly mangled by all sorts of fun critters set out to try and hamper his ability to get through, but eventually, he sloshed his way up and out through the other side.

Okay, what was left? Ice....jacking hell, really? He still remembered the obstacle courses of the horsemen trials, and in particular the one where he froze to death in the snow and ice. Still, he was more then determined to see himself through this, and he used what he did know to his advantage.

Skatboarding.

A skeletal foot found purchase while a socked foot slid along easily at every push. The same could have been said for the oil. The mud? Well, he had a zombies persistance, and just pretended there was going to be a big juicy brain at the end, waiting for him at the finish line.

He finished in no time at all.

Okay, that hadn't be so bad.

Really he had done terribly but he was just happy to have finished at all.

Sin started to stretch and frowned a little at the Awful Obstacle Race, the whole thing looked wretchedly dangerous. Then again she'd faced such perils before and not always willingly, at least this was for the cause of her fellow demon. She had forgone her usual high heels thank Jack and wore a slightly more sporty looking ensemble. Still she was a succubus far better suited to strolling down a fashion walk than running pellmell through an obstacle course.

She glanced up at the circling hellicopter and hoped no one was foolish enough to tempt fate by using their wings, she quickly tucked her own tightly in though she still hadn't tried flying with them. She stood poised and ready and then they were off!

The sudden incline helped her pick up to a speed she had only ever achieved with Professor Red chasing after her. She almost twisted an ankle taking the sharp turns, but somehow she was speeding through in a blur her pink streaked hair flying out behind her like a banner. Then suddenly a wall of fire, but she had such momentum and such practice jumping that she managed to clear not only it but the perilous plunge that came after it. She landed in a roll and quickly sprang to her feet.

Sin stared up in disgust at the wall she would have to climb to continue. She hesitated a second and then cringing she started to scramble up feeling horrified by the oozing green slime that was ruining her perfectly good workout outfit. Still she prevailed and once she was over she managed to jump the following spiky hurdles without incident. What startled her were the huge red balls, what...what who's idea was this?! Well...it was an obstacle course and they were obstacles. She backed up and then ran forward and leaped. Her body bounced easily off the first ball and then she dove from the second to the third, she clung to that one awkwardly a moment before using it to push herself off onto the next section.

Sin felt a fright and she moved onto the next section horrified by the spiky pit before attempting to leap. She gasped as she was grabbed up and spat out, Ugh! Disgusting. Low of morale now she cringed and wove through the next area attempting to avoid the bombs, but Sin was pretty attractive and she attracted the bombs right to her. She was caught up by a sudden blasting hug and sound herself thrown from the course.

Cursing she struggled her way back up one sleeves frayed and her hair no longer in it's artfully arrayed ponytail. She wriggled her way back up onto the course and proceeded to leap gracefully from pillar to pillar only to realize she was going to have to get wet...ugh.

She really wished she had thought to wear her swimsuit underneath, instead she dove in clothed and started to swim. She wasn't doing too poorly either managing to make up a little for her time lost thanks to that overly affectionate bomb. Then she gasped as she felt her foot snag in a net, curses! Yet she'd luckily had plenty of drowning practice when she'd been helping Calder and managed to keep her calm. She sucked in a deep breath and then submerged to untangle herself. Sadly this gave a levathia time to n** her and she had to swim away quickly to avoid it taking more than the small scrape of flesh it had managed.

She hauled herself out of the water and trembled as she realized the last area was slippery and icy. She jogged through trying to keep her speed up, but afraid of slipping, and with good reason...Sin's foot came in contact with the oil slick and she slipped with a string of profanities ending in a YAAAAAAA-HOO-HOO-HOO-HOOOEEEYYYY!!! as she slipped right off the course.

Sin managed to climb and wriggled and claw her way back up to the course onto to reach the finish line neck deep in mud.

"Ugh! This is Jack damned disgusting!" She climbed away and stood shuddering and trying to sluice mud off. It was different if she were paying for an exfoliating treatment, but this was coarse common mud! She glanced at her score and cringed, well it could have been worse but certainly that bomb and last slip had hurt considerably.

She was going to require a long hot bath and wardrobe change.
